The winner of a solo duel was usually determined by three kills or two towers, whichever came first.
However, the official rule for a solo duel was slightly different—Either be the first to reach 100 CS, destroy one defense tower, or obtain a solo kill.
Yang Qianqian had never heard about these rules, thus, her brother explained the details to her while he was playing.
On the other side, Yu Luocheng’s champion still stood in the middle of the lane taunting Fizz blatantly.
For a brief moment, Yu Luocheng had wanted to start the game with Doran’s Blade.
‘AD Lux seems like she would be an interesting combination…’
But he immediately gave up on the idea. ‘I’d better not take my goddess too lightly. Karma is a bitch…’
He spent his 475 gold and did not hesitate in leaving the Spawn with Doran’s Ring.
Normally, the first thing Yu Luocheng would do when laning was to check his opponent’s item. However, there was no need to be so cautious since he was only facing a Fizz controlled by Yang Qianqian. The items she had bought made no difference in this solo duel judging by their huge disparity in skill level.
“Yang Qianqian, please feel free to attack first.” Yu Luocheng typed out the line languidly and hit send.
“No need to!” Yang Ying smirked as he read it.
Minions from both sides had quickly reached the middle line and Yu Luocheng was playing aggressively from the start, bullying the melee AP Fizz mercilessly by using Lux’s ranged auto-attack.
In fact, Yu Luocheng was well aware that Lux held no advantage against Fizz in the mid lane. Other than the first two levels where he could still manage to harass the Tidal Trickster, he would need to stay low and play it safe from Level 3.
Still, he was pretty certain that Yang Qianqian would be ignorant to this fact, thus he playfully teased Fizz with his basic attack while catching his CS at the same time.
“See! You are already seven creeps behind him!” Yang Qianqian intervened.
“This guy’s CS timing is rather precise,” Yang Ying muttered to himself.
It is usually quite difficult for Lux to score creeps in the early stages, however, in the first wave alone, Fizz was only able to score five minions while Lux was able to last hit all twelve. More impressively, this was done with Lux crossing the minion line a few times to disrupt Yang Ying’s Fizz.
“I told you, he is extremely skilled,” Yang Qianqian grinned gleefully while Yang Ying clicked his tongue in impatience.
After a while, Yang Ying glanced at his experience bar while also taking notice of the minion wave that had just entered his tower.
“Believe it or not, his AP is going to be killed soon,” Yang Ying said.
“I don’t believe you. How is that possible?” Yang Qianqian replied in disbelief.
The Fizz controlled by Yang Ying only had half of his HP left, while Lux’s HP bar was still full—Fizz was obviously at a disadvantage here.
“Watch me!” Fizz poked and scored one of the creeps that were under the tower, which brought him up to Level 3.
Yang Ying upgraded his ability W using the hotkey smoothly, making no delay in releasing the skill.
Fizz’s trident instantly lit up and the champion dashed directly through the few Caster Minions that were in front of him.
Urchin Strike!
Fizz dragged its harpoon across the ground and made a bee-line for the careless Lux.
Urchin Strike would deal physical damage on top of a bonus magic damage. Simultaneously, it would also trigger the on-hit effect of the W-skill, Seastone Trident, and apply damage over time to the target.
But it seemed that the sudden ambush by Fizz did not reduce much of Lux’s HP.
Nevertheless, the confident smile still lingered on Yang Ying’s face. He guided Fizz to stay close to Lux and auto-attacked her continuously.
Indeed, Fizz’s W-Q combo would not draw much blood from the enemy at first, however, Fizz’s auto attack power was unparalleled to any other AP.
Lux’s HP drained insanely quick following Fizz’s auto-attack and her HP was halved after only a few hits.
“Still refusing to Flash? Then die!” Yang Ying’s smirk grew as he decisively placed his Ignite on Lux.
That was when Lux finally realized that this was a fight she could not win. The champion threw out her Light Binding and decided to retreat.
Yang Ying was apparently a very experienced player and he had anticipated the opponent’s action, hastily pressing the E key.
Fizz vaulted in response and made a timely evasion of Lux’s binding ability.
Bash!!!
A fishtail splashed down deliberately and produced a blue shockwave that hit Lux’s face and further reduced her HP.
Poof!
Flash!!
The dying Lux finally cast her Flash spell.
Yang Ying sneered and used Flash at almost the same instant as his opponent. He then gave Lux another attack armed with the Seastone Trident’s passive effect.
Another quarter of Lux’s HP evaporated after the attack and after completing the attack, Yang Ying confidently turned his champion around.
Ignite and bleeding effects were both activated on Lux simultaneously, needless to say, Lux’s death was all but certain.
One second, two seconds…
Lux fell to the ground after a pitiful shriek.
First Blood!

Yang Qianqian opened her small mouth slightly and couldn’t take her eyes away from the laptop screen.
‘Yu Luocheng was killed first? It played out exactly how Yang Ying said it would. It was like everything happened according to a plot written by him beforehand. Every one of Yu Luocheng’s movements is well within his grasp.”
No doubt, Yu Luocheng was the most proficient player Yang Qianqian had ever met. ‘Does this mean that my brother is really better than Yu Luocheng?’
***
After clearing the creep wave, Yang Ying cheerfully pressed down on the Recall key.
This was when he turned his head sideways to face Yang Qianqian and flaunted his first kill. “Now, did you see?”
Yang Qianqian pouted unhappily. Although Yang Ying was her own brother, she wished from the bottom of her heart that Yu Luocheng could defeat this narcissistic brother of hers.
Who would have guessed that Yu Luocheng was solo-killed this early at Level 3?
“This game is not as simple as it appears to be. A true pro knows that it is all about calculation. The calculation of one’s champion’s level, HP, skill cooldown, damage, in addition to the opponent’s level, HP, etcetera… Perhaps your classmate is good with control and technique, but he will never go on to the bigger stage if he does not master all that I just mentioned. At best, he would only be able to wear the crown at a small place like Lecheng,” Yang Ying boasted.
His words were especially resounding as he had just successfully solo-killed Lux. After all, he had achieved such a feat while only having half of his HP left. This was enough to demonstrate the difference between the two players.
Of course, Yang Ying was not going to deny that selecting the more powerful Fizz played a big part in his dominant display, but if the opponent could not comprehend such a simple fact, then he was not going to be a worthy LoL player.
Yang Qianqian, who was still refused to admit defeat, defended Yu Luocheng. “He is careless only because you are playing against him using my account.”
Yang Ying knew his sister was not going to be convinced easily. He carried on to say, “From now on, he can only CS with his skills. He will die if he tries to leave the turret.”

“D*mn! I was tricked!” Yu Luocheng’s seething voice was heard from his room that was rarely this tidy.
Unmistakably, although the opponent’s ID was Skydancer, it was definitely not played by Yang Qianqian.
Yu Luocheng spat the chicken claw that was in his mouth into the dustbin and put his legs down. Next, he wiped away the oil on his fingers and finally placed his left hand on the keyboard.
