Chapter 302 - Episode 302: Godly Item Quest. (3)

We are leaving the palace while Ivonna is still thinking about the information that I told her. She suddenly stops walking and taps her lips with her index finger, he looks at me while furrowing her forehead.

"If we are going to meet Saintess Eveth's descendant, aren't the people from the Holy Temple might be her descendant? I mean, since they're all worshipping her and it's the only place where people are gathering to pray to the Betelgeuse and Saintess Eveth."

I turn around and snicker at her while shaking my head.

"No, they're not the descendant of Saintess Eveth, they only worship her because she was the first Saintess. Remember when we went to Loslan Village? Did they worship her? No, they're only passing on to their future generation about the ritual that Loslathan left them. They don't need to worship their own ancestor, they know that they're still a part of them so they only do what their ancestor told them to do."

Ivonna is trying to catch up on me and humming with understanding behind my back, she then raises her eyebrows while tilting her head.

"Do you think the people from the Holy Temple know where Saintes Eveth's descendants live?"

I shake my head.

"If they know, they won't be worshipping her, right? All the legendary heroes' descendants are hidden around the Orion, but they're not so far from the three sovereignties, they're just hidden."

Ivonna is nodding with understanding and then walks next to me.

"Oh, now I remember the elder from Loslan Village mentioned that there are others like them. Do they know where the other descendants from the six legendary heroes at?"

I open a portal and point my hand toward it.

"Ladies first."

Ivonna smiles and enters the portal.

We are outside the Loslan Village and as soon as we enter the village all the villagers are greeting us with huge smiles on their faces. A guy is approaching and we have both known him since he was the one who greeted us when we came here for the first time. Kouhak looks at us while waving and smiling, he looks a bit older and I don't remember when was the last time we both came here and I think it was after the big event. Ivonna is asking him if the chief is in the village and Kouhak tells us that the chief is currently sick but if we want to meet him, he thinks that the chief will be happy to see us.

We are on top of the tree and in front of Durak's house, Kouhak knocks on the door and we can hear an old woman's voice coming from the inside. Durak's wife is greeting us and letting us enter the house while Kouhak is going to inform Durak that we are here to meet him. Durak's wife is pouring tea into the wooden cup for us, and then Durak is coming out from his room while holding a wooden cane to help him walk with Kouhak standing behind him. Durak smiles and slowly walks toward us and then sits on the chair in front of us, he sighs while resting the wooden cane next to him.

"It has been a while since both of you visited our village. What can I help you two with?"

Ivonna looks at him while smiling.

"You mentioned about the other descendants from the rest of the six legendary heroes, I have some business with the descendant of Saintess Eveth because we are having a problem right now."

Durak is humming with understanding and then he looks at his wife and Kouhak, he asks them to leave the house for a moment so we can have a private conversation. Both Kouhak and Durak's wife leave the house then Durak is grabbing his wooden cane and rests both of his hands on it.

"What kind of problem, Miss Ivonna?"

Ivonna is telling about our encounter with Alucard and Durak is humming with understanding while leaning on the chair.

"I see, one of the fiendish gods has appeared..."

Ivonna is furrowing her forehead while looking at Durak with confusion.

"You know about Alucard and the other gods and goddesses?"

Durak is nodding while looking at the wall behind us.

"We know a lot of things about them, all of us here knows about the tales of the fiendish gods and goddesses, and the benevolent gods and goddesses. There are hundreds of stories about them and all of them have been passed down to us in a form of bedtime stories. The six benevolent gods and goddesses, Heugron, Epocrish, Ventos, Ixora, Nonabiru, and Sitry. The six fiendish gods and goddesses, Alucard, Sangrai, Bhizm, Nmyeira, Nonamerah, and Eefny."

Ivonna is curious about the story and she leans forward so she can get something more from the story.

"As you heard from my story, during my prayers, I met Heugron and he was a giant and when we encountered Alucard, he looked like a vampire, does all the gods and goddesses have their own appearance like them?"

Durak is smiling and nodding in agreement.

"That's right, God Heugron is a giant who fought God Alucard from the beginning of their existence. God Heugron would rip and tear God Alucard's wings with his bare hands since that is the core of his power while God Alucard would bite and crush God Heugron's heels and arms with his fangs and claws. Each god and goddess were fighting against each other until the end, all of them were so strong that none of them could win against each other since they know each other's weaknesses."

Durak closes his eyes while chuckling quietly.

"God Heugron's true form is a giant, representing one of the twelve constellations, Leo. God Alucard's true form is an embodiment of evil, representing one of the twelve constellations, Aries. God Epocrish's true form is a golem that is bigger than God Heugron, representing one of the twelve constellations, Taurus. God Sangrai's true form is a Salamander dragon, representing one of the twelve constellations, Scorpio. God Ventos' true form is a Basilisk, representing one of the twelve constellations, Virgo. God Bhizm's true form is a Typhon, representing one of the twelve constellations, Gemini. These are the six gods of benevolent and fiendish."

Durak leans on the chair while staring at the ceiling.

"Goddess Ixora's true form is a Lamia, representing one of the twelve constellations, Pisces. Goddess Nymeira's true form is a Empusa, representing one of the twelve constellations, Capricorn. Goddess Nonabiru's true form is a Siren, representing one of the twelve constellations, Cancer. Goddess Nonamerah's true form is a Phoenix, representing one of the twelve constellations, Sagittarius. Goddess Sitry's true form is a Gorgon, representing one of the twelve constellations, Libra. Goddess Eefny's true form is a Scylla, representing one of the twelve constellations, Aquarius. These are the six goddesses of benevolent and fiendish."

Durak smiles and looks at Ivonna.

"Even though they are benevolent and fiendish gods and goddesses, they are all the same. They are all the gods and goddesses were the ones who provided us with everything that we all can see here. During the beginning of time, we were told that the Orion is a vast flat land, but the battle between those gods and goddesses created the mountains, lakes, seas, and the sky. They are not good or evil, but they are just gods and goddesses even though we separate them into two."

Ivonna is humming while smiling with disbelief and in awe, Durak looks at both of us and raises his eyebrows.

"Maybe I can tell you both the rest of the story once you are done with your business. For now, let me give you the location of the descendants of Saintess Eveth, please wait for a moment while I will grab the map in my room."

Ivonna looks at me and she tilts her head.

"Do you know about this as well, Trev?"

I nod and smile at her.

"That blew your mind, didn't it? I was speechless when Becker told me about them as well, this world is bigger than we all thought."

Ivonna is nodding in agreement and then Durak comes back with a big scroll in his hand, he puts the scroll on the table and then spreads it open. He points at one of the dots on the map while dragging his finger down to the south and then taps his finger on another dot.

"The first dot is where we are right now, and this dot right here is where the descendant of Saintess Eveth live. It will take at least a month to go there by foot, unfortunately, this is the fastest route you can go, so I'm afraid that you will not be able to make it in time if you go there now."

We both are smiling and shaking our heads, Ivonna is pointing to the dot where Durak is pointing at while staring at me.

"So this is where they live? If it takes a month by foot, we should be able to get there in a few days with Azrael, right?"

I nod in agreement.

"Yeah, maybe three days."

Ivonna nods with understanding and then looks at Durak.

"Thank you for the information, Chief Durak, we will take our leave now and we will repay it when we are done dealing with Alucard."

Durak smiles and nods.

"It is my pleasure to be able to help. May the Betelgeuse bless you, Mister Trevor, Miss Ivonna."

We both nod and then leave his house.
