Chapter 934 Where Aran Went

Chapter 934 Where Aran Went

While the confrontation between the three former aides of Aran and his top most powerful aide was ongoing, Kyran swept through the automatons that had only emerged from the spheres.

Like the great sword-wielding automaton told him, he only had to infuse the automatons with Void magic energy, and they would immediately lose their hostility. After this, Kyran sensed a connection forming between them, though he did not know how it was established.

With the automatons now under his control, their sentient also awakened.

Then again, rather than saying they had awakened, it was more accurate to say that they were finally in control of themselves.

For the record, when Aran released the automatons, they were fully aware of what was happening in their surroundings. But because Aran barely possessed the minimum requirement to awaken them, they could only move according to their basic programming.

All of that changed after being infused with Void magic energy. In that instant, the seal in their system was removed, as they recognized the Void's signature as their rightful master.

Because of the connection the automatons formed with Kyran in that instance, without even waiting for his instructions, they already knew what they had to do.

Glowing light purple lines appeared on the exterior of their bodies, and in a flash, their nakedness was replaced with a similarly designed black armor like those worn by the first automatons that Kyran acquired.

After that, they sprinted toward the side where the puppets were engaged in a somewhat large-scale confrontation with the Armakean Knights.

Kyran was satisfied seeing the automatons move according to their own judgments. While he knew their actions were influenced by what they could sense from his thoughts because of their connection, at least they did not wait for his instructions and acted at once.

The remaining automatons were not that many. Thus, Kyran completed his task in a short time. Once he was done, it was finally time for him to deal with the gigantic automaton.

While all of this was happening, the knights that followed Filren, offering their assistance, still remained at the edge of the cliff.

They heeded Kyran's suggestion to observe the situation first before joining the fray because only then could they devise a plan on how they could best provide assistance.

However, as they observed the situation, they realized the situation was pretty much under control. Although a victor had yet to emerge, the outnumbered rebel group managed to fight on equal terms against King Aran's trump card and Knights.

In their opinion, the one that posed a huge threat to the rebel group was the gigantic automaton. If the confrontation between them happened in one big confrontation, the defenses of the rebel group would have long crumbled, and the Armakea side would have won.

However, because Kyran properly separated the Armakea side before dividing his people to confront them separately, their group was not defeated easily. They even appear to be gaining momentum as time went by.

One thing those knights at the edge of the cliff noticed between the confrontation of the Armakea knights and the naked automatons— they did not know they were only puppets— was that the offensive might of the former was quite devastating, but the latter's defenses were equally domineering. The former had the number advantage, but the latter had the stamina advantage. After all, their bodies were made of steel, and the injuries they sustained did not hurt them.

It was true that all Knights underwent pain tolerance training, but that only strengthened their mentality. It did not mean they were immune to the pain or the trauma that accompanied the wounds they sustained. Thus, once they were injured, they could endure. But their endurance had limits.

Of course, the puppets, once destroyed, would have been rendered immobile. However, the massive array formation that Kyran created earlier had a formula that automatically repairs the damages they received.

The array formation did not only provide support to the puppets, but it also supported all humans and complete beings from exhausting their magic energy. This was because Kyran included the array formation that Noir designed into it. This meant that the array formation's area of effect produced rich magic energies, allowing the humans and complete beings on Kyran's side to absorb them naturally.

The enemy side obviously could not absorb the magic energy because Kyran made sure that the benefits of the array formation targeted only his side.

As for how Kyran could create and even sustain the array formation without unlocking the Void theories, it was quite simple. He had used the remaining exquisite spirit stones he took from the castle's underground.

Now Kyran knew that the amount of exquisite spirit stones he had on hand would not be enough to sustain the array formation for long. For this reason, he asked the female spirit to go back to her kin and tell Chrysanthemum to gather more.

The female spirit gladly accepted the task because she did not want to stay in such a dangerous place.

In any case, the knights observing the situation from the edge of the cliff were not aware of other trivial things that were happening. The only things they knew were things they could see.

Next was Mo's group.

The gigantic automaton and its fellow automatons were pretty close to where Mo and the Legendary-level knights were. But with Noir and his group restraining the gigantic automaton while Filren came over to confront Mo's group, the two sides were now separated.

The knights observing the situation shivered upon seeing Filren summoning his Divine Armament. This was the first time they had seen it and witnessed what it could do.

At that moment, they could see Filren looking at an eight-by-eight gridded board in midair. And on the board, Mo and the Legendary-level Knights seemed to be engaged in a battle.

The thing was, the Legendary-level Knights were actually fighting Mo! Armak, Breira, and the ten automatons who were supposed to assist Filren ended up becoming bystanders.

Of course, Armak, Breira, and the other automatons did not idle around. Upon seeing Filren had the situation under control, they checked the other ongoing battle and went over to join.

The observing knights were all dumbfounded. Part of them, being under the King's pact, wanted to help Mo's side. But their dignity as knights prevented them from moving.

Contrary to what Kyran believed, these knights truly wanted to help. But now that there was a conflict between their loyalty to the King and the words they had spoken to Kyran, they did not know what to do.

While these knights agonized over which side to help, Kyran could not be bothered with them. He appeared beside Noir and said, "I'll take over from here."

Noir, along with the other humans who were maintaining the restraining array, looked at him with a slight frown. He was clearly disturbed about something as he said, "There is something strange about this automaton."

"I know. That's why I'll handle it from here," Kyran assured him with a smile. "Please take the others and rest."

Noir and the rest of the humans might not have fought, but Kyran knew how exhausting it was to maintain the restraining array, especially when they were restraining the movements of such a treacherous gigantic automaton.

"Alright. We'll go help Simga and the others."

"There is no need. Please rest for now. Because in a moment, someone will come carrying large amounts of spirit stones. Please reinforce the array formation then."

Noir raised his brows in surprise. He did not need Kyran to tell him that the array formation he was referring to was the massive one he created. But that was not the reason he was surprised. It was the mention of spirit stones.

Though curious as to where Kyran would get the stones, Noir suppressed his curiosity. There would be a chance to ask later. For now, they still had prior things to deal with.

"I understand."

After Noir and the rest of the humans retreated to a safe spot, Kyran looked at the gigantic automaton that had suddenly turned silent. Nonetheless, the glow in its eyes was as fierce as ever as they glared at him and Cyneah.

"Can you tell where the person is inside?" Kyran asked.

Cyneah's brow furrowed slightly as she looked at the gigantic automaton before her.

The silhouette she could see before was quite complicated. There were intersecting lines that did not make sense to her. But those were unimportant. There was no need for her to understand them. All she had to do was figure out where the person was.

Actually, it was not hard to find. But the light she could see was surrounded by strange lights. These lights were different from the lights she could see in humans. However, they were a little blinding, thus making it hard for her to pinpoint the exact location of the person.

"There are confusing lights around it," Cyneah admitted. "But I have a general idea of its position."
