Chapter 115: Dungeon Conqueror
Chapter 115: Dungeon Conqueror
A strange sense of triumph and ecstasy filled the chamber as the dungeon's shadows consumed the Chaos Being just as a bright light engulfed everything. Atlas was shocked, but that's when he soon vanished, only to reappear in a smaller room with a glowing orb in front of him.
He looked at the object and was fascinated, but a young man's voice sounded in his mind, '******* *********,' place your hands on me to connect us, so I can aid you once you're strong enough.'
'What?' he thought while glancing around the stone chamber.
'I'm the Dungeon Core! Touch me to unlock your gift,' the voice said in a frustrated tone this time.
Atlas stepped forward and touched the orb, feeling connected to it somehow. Once he did that, something inside him unlocked, causing notifications to pop up in his view, which amazed him.
[Dungeon Conqueror: Thanks to your lineage, you can wield this powerful class that allows you to connect with Valoria's dungeons once you have conquered them. This would permit you to summon a horde of monsters that come from the ones you completed]
[Dungeon Realm: A place where the conquered dungeons are gathered while still being accessible from the outside world - Can visit by activating the Dungeon Conqueror Skill in a safe location]
[Cost: Mana cost depends on what monster you want to summon. Check out the available groups]
''This is fascinating,'' Atlas muttered with a big smile. ''Let me select the skill and see what the dungeon I just completed is called.
[Deathly Hollow: Level Two Dungeon]
'Cool name, now let's check what kind of monsters I can use,' he mused while going through the skill and selecting Deathly Hollow's list.
[Monster Rank E: Death Spiders, Stone Crawlers, Dreadfiends]
[Monster Rank D: Blood Bats, Death Gorillas, Death Jackals]
[Monster Rank C: Dreadfiend Knight]

[Monster Rank A: Death Serpent]
[Sub-Bosses: Blood Bat King, Dreadfiend King, Queen Death Spider]
[Boss: Corrupted by Chaos - Unavailble]
'Damn, Chaos, is this going to be a common event from now on?' Atlas pondered before going down the list.
"There are so many monsters; I won't be able to use all of them," he muttered while staring at the list.
[Rank G: 125 Mana per summon - Brings forth a single monster that stays in the real world until destroyed or dismissed]
[Rank E: 250 Mana per summon - Brings forth a single monster that stays in the real world until destroyed or dismissed]
[Rank D: 500 Mana per summon - Stays in the real world until destroyed or dismissed]
[Rank C: 1000 Mana per summon - Stays in the real world until destroyed or dismissed]
[Rank A: 2000 Mana per summon - Stays in the real world until destroyed or dismissed]
[Sub-Bosses: 3000 Mana per summon - Stays in the real world until destroyed or dismissed]
[Bosses: 4000 Mana per summon - Stays in the real world until destroyed or dismissed]
'Only single monsters? What about an army?' Atlas thought.
[Further additions will be added once the skill levels are up, and to do that, you need to use it as much as possible]
'What the hell is this? I need a lot of mana to use the higher ranks, but it shouldn't take too long to get enough at the rate I'm leveling up,' Atlas thought as the shock sunk in.
He pulled up his status to see the upgrades.

After taking off his helmet and looking around to see a portal leading to the entrance, Atlas refreshed himself with a mouthful of water. Before he could leave, the dungeon core spoke in his mind, 'Conqueror, we shall speak in the Dungeon Realm and get to know each other even more.'
'Okay, I look forward to our next chat,' he said with a smile as he stepped through the portal.
He appeared in a large chamber with several tunnels leading in all directions, only to find the dungeon entrance in the center of the space. 'I bet the Achaemenidians will love this dungeon. I wonder if I get anything for completing it?'
Atlas was eager to test his new skill, so he activated Dungeon Conqueror and summoned a Death Spider through a swirling azure portal. As the monster scuttled around the chamber, his fascination was tempered by a growing sense of unease.
The creature's movements, though fascinating, sent an instinctive shiver down his spine. Watching its every twitch, Atlas couldn't shake a nagging sense of dread coming from a nearby tunnel.
'Is this some instinctive warning?' he wondered.
Following that, Atlas summoned three Blood Bats, who walked out of the portal and chirped at him in a friendly manner, which was strange as they had been attacking him a while ago. Once outside, he ordered them on the walls to wait for his signal to attack.
After that, he summoned even more Death Spiders, and the creatures hid around the wall just as a group of adventurers rushed into the chamber. Atlas counted eight of them, and by a quick scan, the strongest was Journeyman rank.
'This will be tricky but exciting,' he thought as the leader stepped forward.
''Are you the boy who found the Tajariyah dungeon?'' the man said.
He glanced at the man, noting his height—around six feet—with blonde, curly hair and a confident, almost smug smile. The rest of the group seemed like the typical adventurers in any novel or game.
Atlas nodded and said, "That's right. I was just about to head back to the city to report on some quests I've completed."
When he finished speaking, the leader and other men chuckled, causing him to grow confused, which showed on his face. This made the older man laugh before he spoke again, ''You see when an adventurer discovers an undiscovered dungeon, they are granted two percent of the weekly profits along with five hundred gold coins upfront as a reward.''
'I never knew that!' Atlas thought while putting on his helmet before replying mockingly, ''Well, thanks for the information, but I assume you're here to claim this for yourself?''
''That's right, little one,'' the leader instantly replied. ''If you leave now, we won't harm you, but if you make things difficult, we can make sure you remember this day for the rest of your life.''
The man looked behind him with a chuckle, ''I have a few men that like little boys like you,'' he concluded.
When Atlas heard this, he started laughing. ''You're going to enjoy the surprise I have for you, human. It's the first time I'm using it, and you get to be my test subject,'' he commented in an amused tone before waving his hand.
Screeches rang out all around the chamber as the Death Spiders blocked the exit while others circled the adventurers. Chaos erupted as the bandits attacked, causing Atlas to move in and slash a man's leg as a Blood Bat swooped down and plucked the enemy.
Atlas saw a few spiders being taken down, but the bats slashed at the adventurers, causing the chamber to go quiet. He looked at the remaining monsters and smiled, ''Have your fill, but let me loot the bodies.''
They all nodded in agreement, and Atlas quickly severed the coin pouches before stowing them away. Once finished, he observed as the Blood Bats and Death Spiders pounced on the bodies of the men who had tried to ambush him.
Atlas pondered the greed that drove their actions, thinking, 'Some people are too greedy that it makes them stupid, why attack someone who survived a Level Two dungeon?'
After a brief pause, he watched the monsters feast on the would-be attackers. Once he dealt with the scum, he dismissed the creatures, who vanished into shimmering azure motes. With that, he turned and made his way toward the entrance.
'Now to get out of here and have a hot bath,' Atlas thought with a smile.
He walked for a while until he spotted a light in the distance and made his way toward it, only to notice that a few Tajariyah city guards were waiting. When they spotted him, they rushed forward as the commander spoke in a curious tone, ''You're the boy who rescued the Red Band Party and discovered the Level Two dungeon.''
Atlas nodded, ''Yes, I assume all four made it back?''
The man smiled before inquiring, ''They did, but where have you been?''
"I completed the dungeon, which was challenging, but I managed to conquer it thanks to my speed," Atlas replied in a tired voice.
When the men heard this, they looked at Atlas like a strange monster, causing him to question as he took his helmet off, ''Why are you lot staring at me like that?''
''For one, you're covered head to toe in fresh blood,'' one man answered.
"Then there's you, who managed to conquer a Level Two Dungeon. Not many solo adventurers could do such a thing. Do you have the boss token?" the commander said with a wary smile.
Atlas nodded, but that's when he noticed a group of adventurers escorting some guild staff, causing the commander to explain, ''The empire contracts the Adventurers Guild to run the dungeons, we guard them, and the officials run the day-to-day operations.''
Following that, he took out the silver token he had gotten from the Chaos Vampire and showed it to the man with a smirk, ''See, I did conquer it and defeated the boss.''
When the soldiers saw this, they smiled as the group passed by and gave Atlas a dirty look. He returned with a fake smile that annoyed the adventurers before he turned back to the commander, ''I will be heading to the guild and reporting that two of my three quests are completed.''
''What's the last one?'' a random soldier asked in a curious voice.
