Chapter 235 I alone am capable of raising an army!

“So he had in him the power to best such monsters all this time. What a surprise!”

Roy felt awed by how the righteous knight killed three thousand white-blooded snakes in a minute by himself.

This wasn’t something a spirit of a runic weapon should be capable of performing.

Such sword and glaive skills could only be possessed by a knight who had tempered himself through one, no, at least several ferocious wars, coming out victorious from blood-soaked battlefields.

Roy’s eyes flickered, and reflected in them was the scene of the Righteous Knight brandishing his glaive, sweeping it left, then right, killing all the enemies within a 10-meter radius around him in seconds. That was his attack range. He could attack anything within it.

Roy thought that the righteous Knight must have a deep story of his own.

It’s just that his background was unconfirmed.

The only thing Roy knew about him was that he was the special effect of the runic sword “Piercer.”

He stole that runic weapon from Carl, who took it from Master Gray.

Master Gray acquired it through nefarious means.

Several years ago, a rough wanderer arrived in Baldwin County at night.

Strapped to his side was a runic weapon enclosed in a white sheath

Although its sharp surface was buried in the sheath, anyone with a discerning eye could tell its worth by just glancing at its hilt that was sticking out of the sheath.

He was looking for a place to sleep, but since all the inns he could afford were full or closed, he was left with no choice but to sleep on the footpath.

Master Gray “coincidentally” came across and struck up a conversation with him.

Finding out about his troubles, he invited him to his manor with a warm smile.

Unsuspecting of his behavior and believing that a rich man like Master Gray wouldn’t have a reason to harm a poor person like him, the wanderer followed him to his manor.

Master Gray had his servants serve the wanderer a meal too scrumptious to ignore.

The wanderer with a dirty beard ate whatever was served to him and even proceeded to lick clean all the plates until he suddenly felt a sharp pang of pain in his heart and started bleeding from his seven orifices.

He looked at Master Gray in disbelief.

Master Gray smiled back at him, saying to him,

“All the dishes you ate were sprinkled with scentless poison. And don’t bother trying to oust it from your body. That’s something only aura masters can do, not a weapon master like you. I will look after the runic weapon for you. So you can rest in peace.”

“Fuck… you!” That’s the last thing the wanderer said before he died.

Master Gray pocketed the runic weapon, named it the heirloom of his family to dispel suspicions, and threw the wanderer’s body to the demonic vines, letting them tear and feast on his corpse, destroying the evidence of his crimes.

That’s about it.

His skill didn’t reveal who created it, why the wandered had it, and why it has a soul.

Roy smiled.

Who would have thought that the thing Master Gray obtained by killing a wanderer and committing heinous sins would eventually end up in his hand?

“Hiss!”

Suddenly, Roy, who was killing thousands of monsters with each of his punches, was brought out of his thoughts by a loud, commanding hiss that broke out from the depths of the sea of snakes, echoing throughout the chambers.

Swoosh!

As if it was a command they couldn’t disobey, the white-blooded snakes immediately attacked Roy and the righteous knight like a storm, closing in on them from all sides.

The righteous knight was unfazed by their desperate attempt to overcome him.

He unleashed on them his unparalleled sword and glaive skills.

With movements Roy could only describe as breathtaking and precise, the righteous knight took most of them out the very second they entered his attack range.

The ones who succeeded in landing a physical hit on him and the ones that tried to immobilize him by curling around his armored self were torn apart by the sharp Arrow Force coating him.

“Destroy the source of that loud hiss! That’s our key to winning this battle!” Roy said to the righteous Knight commandingly as the hundreds of black streaks of lightning crackling around him burst out like a fast-spreading tumor and landed on hundreds of snakes, obliterating them instantly.

“Mm-hmm.”

Following Roy’s command, the armored knight stepped over many dead carcasses, exploding them like balloons, and advanced in the direction of that loud hiss that had made countless snakes launch a suicidal murder attempt for their life, valiantly marching deeper into the sea of snakes all alone.

Plop! Plop!

Suddenly, Roy saw two aura monsters erupting out from the other end of the malevolent sea.

Their gaping maw opened wide as they lunged at the Righteous Knight. Murderous auras surged out from the top of their heads and instantly fell on him, putting the weight of an entire Mountain on his back, failing to bend his knees but succeeding in stiffening his body so much that except for kneeling, he could do nothing else. Before they even reached him, they had restrained him to his spot using their aura!

“Impertinent bastard, die to our fangs!” They glared at the righteous knight, suddenly speeding up, moving towards him so fast that they left behind shockwaves. They looked like two bows released from a divine bow. Their sharp fangs were covered in a golden-colored force and threatened to reach and stab into him in two seconds.

It looked like he would meet his end today!

“Righteous One, duck!” Roy shouted, four waves and four hundred streaks of darkness and lightning, respectively, streaming out of his body. They instantly fused and condensed into four black arrows that he grabbed and hurled toward the two aura monsters with all his might.

‘Although I don’t want to, I don’t have much choice in this situation.’ After he heard Roy’s warning, the righteous knight let his knees bend under the pressure of the beasts’ auras; in doing so, he moved out of the trajectory of the black arrows.

Whoosh!

A fraction of a second later, the four black arrows flew over his head and threatened to bury themselves inside the snakes whose gaping maws were infinitely close to the Righteous knight.

“Set up a barrier!”

The two snakes caught sight of the arrows and immediately jumped away from the righteous knight while putting up a defensive shield made of aura around them.

However, the two black arrows easily tore through the aura shields that the beasts set up in a hurry and accurately buried themselves in their eyes.
