Chapter 246 After hatching an egg, I became a *******!? W-what?!!!!!!
Roy walked up to the egg and took out his sword, and no, it wasn’t taken out to destroy it but to cut himself.
According to Yulran, his ancestor, to hatch the egg, he needed to spill his blood on its outer shell. As for how much, that’s something he was yet to know.
Roy brought it above his hand. His eyes narrowed as he ruthlessly swiped it across his palm, opening up a narrow but long skin wound. Because of the passive self-healing skill that he had no control over whatsoever, it started to close immediately. Much of his blood, however, flowed out of it before it closed completely.
“This much should be enough, right?” Roy asked Yulran.
Yulran looked at the blood in his hand and gave him a head nod. “Yeah, it should be.
“Now, don’t wait anymore and do it.” Yulran urged Roy.
Yulran didn’t have long to live. Half of his body has already disappeared. He wanted to see whether Roy would be able to hatch it or not. That was his final wish.
Blood had pooled in Roy’s wounded palm before it was restored to its original, unharmed condition.
Urged by his ancestor, he didn’t let a single drop go to waste and gently smeared all of it on the egg, his hands pressing against and moving across it, tainting it red with his blood.
Inside the egg was an unbelievable little thing. She was the formless siren. Her face was red like a steamed crab. She was blushing from feeling him caressing her. The egg was a part of her. Roy touching the egg everywhere was the same as touching her. It could be said that he was unknowingly molesting her!
“This feels so good. The knowledge in my blood was right. Getting petted by one’s pure-blooded brings the greatest joy to a formless siren. He is who I have been waiting for centuries!”
As she confirmed what Roy meant to her, the formless Siren’s eyelashes fluttered like the wings of a butterfly, and her eyes snapped open. She wanted to hold him in her eyes. They were glistening in joy. Previously, she wasn’t sure whether it was him or not, but after getting touched by him, she was sure that it was him!
Roy was unaware that someone was feeling good from being touched by him, but he did saw the egg trembling in excitement and, like a fool, thought it was responding to him.
“Maybe it’s about to hatch?!” His eyes lit up in joy.
Then, nothing happened.
Roy turned to his ancestor. Yulran’s left foot was already inside his grave. Ignoring that his lower body had disappeared and only his head, shoulders, and hands were left, Roy asked him.
“Did I fail at hatching it?”
Yulran shook his head at him.
“No, this is my first time seeing her respond to someone’s blood. It’s clear that she likes you.
If a formless siren likes someone, they hatch for them without delay. I guess there’s another reason as to why it didn’t hatch.”
“And what might that be?”
Yulran scratched his chin thoughtfully until his fingers vanished. “Aha! She has been trapped inside it for centuries and has survived too long on Mana and the world’s energy. She is exhausted and extremely dehydrated. Smear more of your blood on the egg’s shell. The energy inside it would help her recover. Better yet, cover all of it in your blood.”
“Okay.”
Following his ancestor’s suggestion, Roy cut himself and bled a hundred times to cover it entirely in his blood.
For some reason, it hasn’t absorbed a single drop of it.
Roy wondered why?
The formless siren felt bad, feeling him harming himself for her.
She wanted him to stop, but she was so exhausted that she found it hard to even utter a word.
“Please accept my blood.” Roy softly muttered to the egg, unaware that he was flirting with a virgin formless siren.
“Okay.”
Suddenly, Roy heard a faint, feminine voice. It came from inside the egg, and honestly, he found it too pleasant to his ears.
It was like a melody, one which would bewitch pirates into jumping off their ships.
He was dazzled by it, but only for a split of a second.
He blinked it away.
He blinked once, and his eyes regained clarity, and he saw his blood vanishing into the egg.
“I accept you as mine.” This was said in a bashful voice, but it didn’t sound meek. Rather, it was loud and full of conviction.
The second he heard this voice, cracks appeared on the egg. It glowed before energy burst out of it. The suddenness of the energy radiating out of it caught Roy off guard. He was smacked 20 meters away.
Just then, the egg cracked open, revealing a figure within blinding moonlight. Roy couldn’t get a look at her, but he could see her silhouette. And from that alone, he could tell that she was the embodiment of perfection and beauty!
The system’s notification sounded in Roy’s ears.
?Ding! Congratulation. The formless siren has accepted your blood!?
?Ding! Congratulations on hatching a Formless Siren with your blood!?
?Ding! Congratulations on marrying a Formless Siren the traditional way!?
?Ding! Congratulation. You have been rewarded with the chance to bless your wife with the EXP extraction and power-sharing seals and the EXP transfer array!?
?Power-sharing seal (Level: 1): It’s a seal that you can give to your wife only. It will allow you to share 10% of your powers with her and vice versa if you enchant hers and your soul with it.?
“What the heck are you on about, man? When the fuck did I marry her?!!!”
Roy didn’t have any time to let its words sink into his mind as a part of the egg turned to threads and wrapped around the formless siren, and the light covering her figure receded into her.
She could finally be seen.
Roy took in her appearance as she stepped out of the egg and felt amazed beyond belief.
She was too fucking beautiful!
