Chapter 259 Red Mist Servants (Part-2)
Just then, another putrid corpse silently jumped out of the painting.
It was holding a sword, and it swung it at Tevenlor.
It was fast like thunder as it smashed on his chest.
The suddenness of its appearance and the surprise attack caught him off guard, and Tevenlor was forced back.
“Your opponent is me.”
The putrid corpse growled at him before dashing towards him. Suddenly, it disappeared in a swarm of bats made of ephemeral mist and then appeared before Tevenlor, its sword dropping downward.
Clang! Tevenlor raised his sword just in time, blocking it, causing sparks to flutter about.
“Let’s dance.” Tevenlor grinned at it.
In the very next moment, Tevenlor body-slammed the putrid corpse, throwing it into the wall. The sword dropped from its hands as its back thudded against the painting it came out of, ruining it. Before it could slide down the wall, it was stabbed by the sword thrown by Tevenlor.
The sword went through it, pinning it to the wall.
The last thing it saw was Tevenlor grinning at it, and the last thing it felt was Tevenlor grabbing its head. After that, it was no more.
Like a fucking berserker, Tevenlor ripped its fucking head along with its spine out of its body!
?Ding! Congratulation. Your capable subordinate has killed a Red Mist Warrior in cold blood.?
?You received 1000 EXP?
?You received 10× Red Orbs?
?Chaotic energy has been detected in it?
?It has been extracted and purified to create a few thousand units of EXP?
?It will be transferred to you?
?You gained 1500 units of EXP?
The system’s notification resounded in Roy’s ears as he kicked the wall towards the putrid corpse.
It rolled to the side, dodging it. It stood up, seeing it smash into the thick wall of the hallway, tearing apart the painting on it and creating 100 cm deep scratches on it.
“A rat like you doesn’t look good standing on two feet like a man.” Roy taunted it whilst attacking it. “You should remain down.”
Bam!
His mana swooped down on it like a wave, immobilizing it and putting on its back an endlessly increasing and great pressure.
It was attacked a second time while it was still dodging the first one, and thus, it was caught off guard.
The putrid corpse gritted its teeth, feeling as if an entire mountain was placed on its back. Roy was angry because it aimed at his wife’s life. His anger pressed down on it in the shape of a dense waterfall made of mana, breaking a hundred of its bones, cracking the rest, forcing its body to bend over, pressing it to the ground.
“What the fuck is this? How can one’s mana pressure be so great?! It’s like I am standing against that giant bat.” It cried out in its mind, realizing it couldn’t move a single finger!
From Tevenlor’s point of view, it was bowing to Roy and his wife.
It seemed to be apologizing to them!
The putrid corpse was angered to no end, being forced to lower its head to its meal.
Roy was going to crush it to death when suddenly, he felt energy fluctuation behind him. His eyes narrowed.
“She is in danger.”
The Formless Siren thought that nothing would be able to harm her as her Fated was protecting her. Well, she thought wrong. She was completely unaware that she was in danger of getting killed by a Putrid Corpse.
Red mist seeped out of the wall behind her, shaping into a red mist walker. It pounced on her. Roy had already expected it to go after his wife. He whipped around, moving his hand. But this also resulted in the disappearance of the pressure acting on the Putrid corpse.
Whoosh!
He flicked his wrist, and dozens of lightning bolts burst out.
They thundered past the female siren and struck the red mist walker before it could get anywhere near her, exploding it into pieces.
The pieces of its body melted into wisps of red and black mist.
The Female Siren and Tevenlor saw them entering Roy’s pendant and felt confused and taken aback.
?Ding! Congratulation. You have killed a rank-2 Red Mist Walker. You get 2500 EXP and 10× Red Orbs?
“How dare you make me bow to you?! I will fucking rip you and your bitch to shreds!”
The putrid corpse, which was no longer affected by Roy’s mana suppression skill, roared maniacally and leaped forward.
In mid-air, its face split apart into two equal pieces, revealing rings of razor-sharp teeth, green toxins oozing out of them.
“Congratulations.” Roy looked back, electricity streaming out the corner of his eyes. “With those words, you signed your death warrant.”
His words hadn’t even left his mouth when waves of darkness swirled out of his back, shaping into a gigantic hand that grabbed the putrid corpse and smashed it into the wall.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
The giant black hand manhandled it, treating it worse than a dog, punching it so many times after embedding it into the wall that it was fixed into the wall for good.
The hand moved aside, revealing its sorry figure to Roy.
It was completely deformed.
“D-don’t kill me.” It coughed out. “Don’t you want to… k-know what I am?!”
“No, I am not interested in knowing what you are.” Roy smiled devilishly, hundreds of spells capable of eradicating a small village manifesting around him. If it were a human, at this sight, it would have pissed its pants. “I am only interested in turning you into dead meat.”
“This won’t end with just me.” It laughed maniacally, spitting out black blood. “My death will only mark the beginning of endless trouble for you.”
“Trouble?” Roy’s eyebrow raised. “I don’t like to be troubled. But trash like you are attracted to me like bees to honey, leaving me with no choice but to demolish you personally. And I will destroy whatever comes after me after you. You, of course, won’t see it since you’re going to die right away.” Roy stretched out his hands, giving it the middle finger. “Go to hell.”
Boom! Bam! Bam! Buzz! Buzz!
All sorts of spells rained down on it like torrential rain.
The mana bullets shattered not only its teeth but also its defensive, hardened scale-like skin while the lightning bolt exploded it into pieces, and then a level 6 wave of fire spread out of Roy’s hand, burning its body part to dust.
It was obliterated, eradicated from existence.
?Ding! Congratulation. You defeated a rank-3 Red Mist Walker Captain?
?You received 5000 EXP?
?You received 20× Red Orbs?
“What’s a red orb?” Roy asked it in his mind.
The system’s monotone voice rang in his mind.
?Red Orb is a material necessary to create a skill point?
?Collect 100 Red Orbs to gain a 1× SP!?
“There’s a way to earn SP now?” Roy’s lips pressed into a thin smile. “Great!”
