Leveling Endlessly with the Strongest System!

Chapter 266 The Crimson Lord!

Chapter 266 The Crimson Lord!

“Is it that you refuse to think like other chaotic beings? Or is it that you refuse to believe what you see? My swordsmanship is unrivaled. My sword skills can cut through divine steel like a knife going through mud.”

Roy taunted it as he sensed energy fluctuations in the vicinity. He concluded that two more anomalies were about to arrive.

“Huh? What’s going on?”

“Why are they all dead? Don’t tell me… they killed them all!”

Two anomalies arrived at the spots fifty and sixty meters away from him and noticed that the strongest among them was cowering under the gaze of a human and a spirit.

“We were misinformed.”

“Damn the Elder Spirit! They aren’t something we can handle.”

The newcomers were scared shitless, seeing that only the two of them had killed 40+ of their brethren.

“You are here to spoonfeed me, too, right?” Roy glanced at them, the desire to make them become a part of himself blazing in his eyes. “How good you are!”

Santa has knocked on his door. How could Roy not be happy?!

“This guy is crazy. We would end up dead if he caught us. “

“Let’s get to safety and talk later.”

The look in his eyes scared them so much that they made a run for it.

But they couldn’t get far as Roy struck them down.

Killing them netted him a good amount of EXP and 40 red orbs.

“You are the only one left. Aren’t you going to give it a try?”

Roy beckoned the rank-5 spirit to have a go at himself.

“You think I am stupid? Fuck you!”

The rank-5 anomaly cursed him as it ran away from Roy like he was a plague, and as it did so, it began to dematerialize into its mist form.

“Hmph!”

Tevenlor coldly snorted, looking at what it was up to.

“You have already aimed for our lives. Forget about running away and leave your life behind.”

Just as those words left his mouth, a transparent force infused with crimson dragon’s blood emitted from his body like shockwaves and closed in on the rank-5 anomaly, pressing down on it from all directions.

As a result, not only was its transformation canceled, but it was also immobilized, becoming stiff like a corpse.

“The fuck!!!”

The rank-5 anomaly cried out, horrified to realize that it couldn’t move nor transform into its intangible form.

“What did you do to me?! You bastard!!” The rank-5 anomaly shouted at Tevenlor, who ignored it and calmly turned to the person by his side.

“Do it.” Tevenlor said to Roy, “Seal its fate!”

“Gladly,” Roy replied to him.

He then immediately jumped towards the rank-5 spirit, reaching above it instantly; a giant sword appeared in his hands, its weight no less than 15 tons.

Whoosh!

Roy swung it down.

The rank-5 anomaly’s soul was getting eroded by Tevenlor’s mysterious power, and thus, it was impossible for it to twitch even a single finger.

One could say that it was no different than a pig waiting to be butchered at this moment, and the butcher was already on its head.

‘So this is how I die.’ It accepted its fate as it had no way of dodging the sword Roy was bringing down on it, and it could do nothing but watch and feel it go through its body.

As its soul crumbled apart, a sigh left his mouth.

“I guess I won’t get to see the sky in this life. Hopefully, you will be able to, elder spirit.”

That was what it said, as its body was sliced into two perfect halves.

Boom!

Hearing no notification, Roy blasted it with fireballs until all signs of it disappeared from the face of this world.

?Ding! Congratulation. You have killed a rank-5 Anomaly. You gained 10000 EXP, 100 red orbs, and the Evil Slayer Title.?

?When you equip this title, you will gain the Killing Force and be able to use your killing intent to hurt and even kill others!?

They carefully continued onwards, looking out for anomalies, but met no danger as they moved across the hallway rapidly.

The Formless Siren wasn’t a good fighter. However, not only were her basic stats ridiculously high, but she was also just as fast as them, and her hand was held by her husband, giving her support.

Thus, she was able to keep up with them.

Some minutes later, they reached the granite door at the end of it.

It was very large, ridiculously so, and intricate carvings were all over it, somehow untouched by time and the elements.

The second Roy appeared next to it, the system’s notification rang in his mind. It issued a quest.

?The Semi-Grand quest “Overcome the Fallen Ancestral Spirit” has been generated!?

                            ?Quest info?

Crimson Lord, the spirit of the Dragon’s Pond, has been obsessed with the idea of seeing the sky, breathing in the fresh air, and living among humans all its life. In its obsession, it gave into Chaos seven years ago, becoming its servant, promising to eradicate the very being it wanted to love and get along with. It hadn’t taken any action against Damien and kept the fact that it had been corrupted a secret because of Yulran. Over the past several years, it silently cultivated an army of anomalies, which you have destroyed, forming an irreversible enmity between you two. Now that Yulran is gone, it has decided to possess your body, as you are the only pure-blooded in the Ancestral Land. If it does, it would escape to the Far West Major Realm and wreak havoc on the living realm. It has to be stopped at all costs.

                             ?Task?

-Kill it. What more do you need?! Just kill it!

                          ?Reward?

-Total Control over the Dragon’s Pond.

‘Great.’ Roy licked his lips in excitement. ‘I don’t know how big, hot, or cold the dragon’s pond is, but if it’s really large, won’t I be able to drown hordes of enemies using it?’

“I can’t open it,” Tevenlor said, after trying to push it open but failing to make it even budge.

“It must have sealed it.” He added.

“Is that something to worry about?” The Female Siren asked.

“No, since we have him,” Tevenlor said, pointing out Roy.

“You mean?” Roy’s eyebrow raised.

“You can open it with your blood.” Tevenlor explained, “No seal or power will be able to stop that from happening unless it’s greater than a True Being.”

“I see.” They nodded.

Following his advice, Roy cut open a wound on his palm, smearing his bright red, almost dazzling blood on the door.

The blood magically disappeared as if devoured by it.

Then, it responded to his presence, brightening up as the symbols on it started to rotate.

Roy got closer to it, and it opened up by itself as if to welcome the long-lost descendant home.

A wall made of mist was revealed—the last trial ground lay behind it.

They walked through it, stepping into the unknown.

Thud!

And with a loud thud, the door closed behind them.

?Ding! You have entered the last trial area of the ancestral land!?
