Chapter 463 Augustus August Spell

?

However, only now had she found out that there was one thing they had failed to account for - Augustus Constantine's special-type Force.

Despite their extensive research, there was no mention of his unique ability in their records.

It was a grave oversight on their part, one that she felt might cost them dearly in the time to come!

She thought: I need to escape and report my finding to the undead king. They need to know that there's a high-rank anomaly in Constantine County!

Augustus gave a smug smirk in response. "You're an ignorant fool if you think you know all the secrets of this world," he said with a sly grin. "And as for my power, I've gone to great lengths to keep it hidden since I was a child. I even took a few losses against some annoying bastards just to keep it under wraps."

Augustus's grin widened as he watched the crimson mage cower in fear. "But why did I reveal my closely guarded secret to you?" he mused with a dark chuckle. "You must think I'm a fool. But let me give you the real answer. My special-type force has an ego. It's a bit sadistic, actually. When I reveal its true potential to others, it becomes more powerful, allowing me to manipulate my surroundings at will and do things I wouldn't normally be able to do."

Sarenna's eyes widened in horror as she realized the full extent of Augustus's power. "You're a monster!" she exclaimed, taking a step back.

Augustus just chuckled in response. "Oh, I've been called worse," he said with a hint of amusement. "But you know what? Everyone that found out about my little secret ended up being buried alive. But you don't need to be afraid. I will be sending you to meet them soon. Once you are dead, your fear and all your trouble will disappear."

A wide, sinister smile spread across Augustus's face as he reveled in his own power and the fear it inspired in others.

The crimson mage shuddered in fear seeing Augustus's smile. 'This crazy bastard is not right in the head. I should leave.' Sarenna quickly abandoned the fight like a coward, running away as fast as she could.

Augustus's eyes glinted with satisfaction as he watched Sarenna run away in horror. It was always amusing to see the fear in someone's eyes when they realized the true extent of his power.

"Encountering a monster, one should indeed run. I must commend you for being so quick to catch on," Augustus said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "But unfortunately for you, it's already too late."

Although her back was to him, Sarenna felt a shiver run down her spine as Augustus's special-type force began to radiate an ominous energy. She could feel its presence in the air, almost like a living being.

'I need to move faster, or I will be caught in the radius of his attack.'

She sped up.

Augustus raised his hand once again, and this time, a massive wave of energy surged outwards from his palm with such speed that it caught up to Seranna in an instant, crashing on her back.

The force blasted the crimson mage off her feet.

She hurtled through the air, struggling to regain her balance as Augustus closed in on her with lightning speed. In one swift movement, he delivered a powerful kick to her stomach, causing her to gasp in pain and lose her breath, and crash into a building.

"Urgh!" she grunted in pain, feeling as though all the air had been knocked out of her lungs and all her bones had been broken.

As she lay there, defenseless, Augustus towered over her, his white lance held menacingly at the ready.

"Any last words, Crimson Mage?" he taunted.

Sarenna raised her head to look at him with red eyes.

"F**k you!" she spat, her words dripping with malice and hatred.

Suddenly, a gust of wind swept across the battlefield, carrying with it a faint whiff of incense. Augustus's head swam with dizziness and confusion, leaving him disoriented and vulnerable. By the time his senses cleared, the Crimson Mage had vanished into thin air, leaving only the lingering scent of incense in the air.

"Damn it," he muttered to himself, frustrated at having let his guard down. "That undead turned out to be more troublesome than I thought."

"But no worries." With a profound but indifferent gaze, he said, "The idea of outsmarting the celestial is a fool's errand. It is impossible for a creature to defy this one. Attempting to do so is a futile endeavor!"

Augustus flashed a hand sign before chanting, "That which rises, swallow me whole." The dark energy beneath his feet coalesced into a massive maw that swallowed him whole. "Move me through space and time."

The mouth vanished as Augustus spoke his next words with a booming voice, "Art of the Celestial Under Heavens: Shift!"

Meanwhile, Sarenna was sprinting for dear life, hopping from one building to another in an effort to escape Constantine county.

Suddenly, a portal appeared out of nowhere, and before it could even fully materialize, a hand shot out of it to snatch her life core.

Sarenna's instincts kicked in a moment too late, and she only managed to jump away from the portal after the life force was already taken from her.

She watched in horror as Augustus emerged from the portal, gripping her life core with malicious intent.

Augustus let out a menacing laugh as he stared down at the life core in his hand. The power within it was immense, and he could feel it pulsating with energy. And he knew that he would be putting an end to this battle by crushing it.

"Crimson mage, you were foolish to think you could escape from me," he taunted, his eyes flashing with a dangerous glint. "There's no outrunning me."

"Y-You! Just what are you?!" she asked.

"Under the heavens, I am the only Celestial." Augustus declared arrogantly.
