Leveling Endlessly with the Strongest System!

Chapter 98

Chapter 98

The coyotes were walking in a straight line, unaware that a hunter had set its eyes on them. With silent steps, he caught up to them. Hiding in the dark was Roy. Unaware of his presence were his prey.

He shot out from behind a tree, immediately stabbing his sword into a coyote at the furthest back of the group, assassinating him. Its groupies were unaware of its dead. It was killed all too silently.

?Ding! Congratulation. You assassinated a Level 9 Coyote. You get +90 and a shard of the Passive Skill, Stealthy Movement. Collect 50 shards and combine them to get it.?

This notification rang in Roy’s eyes. Immediately, he decided to assault the rest the way he had just killed this one. He looked up, seeing the monsters with their back to him. They were looking left, ahead, and right in search of him but not behind them, and hence, they failed to notice him. That led to him killing several dozen more.

?Ding! Congratulation. You assassinated 3 Level 10 Coyote. You get three shards of the Passive Skill, Stealthy Movement, and a +3 Increase in the size of your Magic Sea.?

?Ding! Congratulation. You assassinated 13 Level 10 Coyote. You get 8× Stealthy Movement’s shards and a +3 Increase in the size of your Magic Sea.?

?Ding! Congratulation. You assassinated 23 Level 10 Coyote. You get ×27 shards of Stealthy Movement and a +3 Increase in the size of your Magic Sea.?

?Ding! Congratulation. Your magic sea is capable of storing 201 wisps of mana. You have leveled up. You’ve advanced to Level 2 Acolyte.?

Out of the hundred who were after his life, he had killed 80+. He gained quite a lot of benefits from them. The first was naturally the battle experience. The second was the ridiculous increase in the size of his magic sea. He was now a level 2 Fake Mage and could shoot out 100 Mana Bullets. The last was that he had got 50 shards of the skill.

“It’s time to form it. Combine the shards. Create the skill.”

Immediately after these words left Roy’s mouth, the system’s notification rang in his mind.

?Ding! Congratulation. The 50 Shards has combined into the skill Stealthy Movements. It lowers your presence and allows you to walk at a certain speed without producing noise.?

With this skill, Roy’s footsteps produced no noise even though he was running 50% faster than before. Working hard to get this passive wasn’t a wrong choice. It was just the tool he needed to carry out his assassination.

His preys had long realized they were getting picked one by one, but they couldn’t do anything to stop the hands of death from yanking their souls out of their flesh. Their strength was in their number. But Roy has shamelessly and ingeniously separated them and took them down one at a time until only a dozen of them were left.

Only then did he step out of the dark and enter their sight with a smile on his bloodied face.

A minute later, it stopped howling and roaring in the trees.

Corpses could be seen sprawled throughout the forest.

The one who had created this scene could be seen rubbing the toxic blood off of him. His HP has dropped by two because of letting it stay on his skin to mask his scent.

Roy’s fists shot in the air, ‘I faced an army, but I triumphed over them!’

It was at this moment that his sixth sense of some sort tingled in the back of his head. Roy felt the back of his temple heating up as if it was soon to explode. He didn’t think twice before leaning sideways.

“Whoosh!”

An instant later, reflected in his eyes was the scene of a blinding flash of reddish black light missing him by a hairsbreadth, passing by him and striking a tree. Struck by a Chaos-kissed arrow, the towering monstrosity of a tree was turned to dust. It was quite a ridiculous sight.

Roy swallowed. If that had hit him, he would have been the one turning to dust.

Creases appeared on his face. He was frowning deeply as he looked in the direction where it came from.

“Who is it? Who wants me dead?!” He said in his deep and calm voice.

Clapping noises were instantly heard. Roy turned his eyes to the source of the noise. It was a man whose face was covered by a mask with a design of swirling black lines that symbolized something. He was leaning on a tree in a light-hearted manner and dressed in a khaki, his upper body bare.

Ayaan opened his mouth to praise Roy. “Impressive Reflexes. That was enough to kill a trainee at the peak of body tempering. But you dodged it too coldly. It warms my heart to see you survive it. At least now there’ll be someone to amuse me. I’ll have fun breaking you down.”

At the sight of him, Roy’s gaze hardened, darkened, and almost turned maniacal.

This man was his enemy!!!

Ayaan felt his cold gaze all over him.

“Such intense bloodlust. Why have you directed it my way? Why do you look at me like a beast staring at its prey?” Ayaan asked as if he wasn’t the one that almost assassinated Roy and then threatened to toy with him.

Roy tightened his grip on his sword. “Because you’re chaos’s servant.”

The second these words left his mouth, two people dropped down a tree, landing close to Ayaan.

They both had masks on them.

Roy determined one as a man and the other as a female because her chest wasn’t flat.

Ari pointed at him, “He knows who we are, Ayaan.”

Darian glared at Roy with lifeless eyes that only had inky darkness in them and no white. “The GhostWalker was right. Far West is desperate to take back control of this world and has found a way to sneak pests into this world. We just finished killing dozens of them and capturing three fresh sacrifices, but another one popped out of nowhere. These mortals are like cockroaches. There is no end to them. No matter how many you kill, you’ll still find one crawling on your floor.” He said in a disdainful and strict voice.

Hearing what he had to say helped make the situation clearer to Roy.

He looked at the three.

From the looks of it, Ayaan was their leader.

“Who and where did you imprison them?!” Roy questioned.

Ayaan scoffed, “You’re about to die. What use will this knowledge be of you?”

Roy turned silent. And inspected him.

?Ayaan?

?Stage: Fake Mage?

?Level: Chaotic Level 4?

?HP: 7?

?Status: Chaos-kissed?

?STR: 10?

?AGT: 40?

?STA: 15?

He also inspected the other two.

Only one thought came to mind.

Weak… they were too weak.
