Leveling Up With My Pet

Chapter 175 C-17

Chapter 175 C-17

?

At a depth of three thousand meters, the seabed is shrouded in near-total darkness, where visibility is limited to occasional glimpses of light resembling stars in an infinite sky.

Deep-sea creatures emit these faint light spots, the only illumination sources in this realm.

Amidst this dark expanse, a colossal snapping turtle can be seen slowly swimming as if searching for something on the ocean floor.

Overlord has been assigned a mission by its master, Liu Yong, to scour the area surrounding a cave with a radius of fifty kilometres in search of exposed diamond veins or sunken ships.

As the third day of the search commences, the Overlord has already covered a vast territory within the fifty-kilometre radius yet has failed to find any diamond veins or sunken ships.

Consequently, Liu Yong has instructed the Overlord to expand its search area, hoping that it may eventually uncover some treasures.

The seabed is not uniform and features flat terrain and uneven topography, characterized by valleys, peaks, and canyons.

Bawang detects a vast plain in the distance and is intrigued by its unique characteristics.

After swimming a few kilometres, Bawang reaches the plain, and the contrast with the uneven terrain is striking. Suddenly, Bawang senses something in the distance and hastens towards it.

To his surprise, it is the wreckage of an aeroplane, lying at the bottom of the sea at a depth of three thousand meters.

Overjoyed by this discovery, Bawang rushes to inform his master, Liu Yong, of his finding. "Master, I found a plane!" he exclaims, eager to share his excitement.

Liu Yong was at home, already past ten o'clock in the evening, and was lying in bed while chatting with Li Changle. Suddenly, Liu Yong learned that Overlord found a plane's wreckage at the bottom of the sea. This piqued Liu Yong's interest, and he immediately opened his pet panel to understand the situation better.

Through the third-party vision, Liu Yong could see that it was a submarine plane lying next to the Bawang and was wrecked. The aircraft was in relatively good condition despite being disconnected in the middle and broken into two pieces.

The distance between the two pieces was less than a hundred meters, indicating that it may have broken apart during the sinking process.

As Liu Yong continued to examine the plane, he was surprised by its size. The fact that it was a military transport plane made it even more significant.

Liu Yong carefully observed the aircraft for a long time, noting that it had few attachments and seemed relatively clean. Based on this, he speculated that the plane may have crashed into the sea within the past year or two and then sank to the bottom.

Liu Yong was inspecting a massive aircraft when he asked Bawang, "Which country's plane is this?"

Bawang replied, "I'm not sure. What should we do?"

Liu Yong instructed him, "Don't move the plane for now. Just wait by the side. I will check some information and confirm the model of the plane."

As a military enthusiast, Liu Yong quickly identified the aircraft as a C-17 military transport plane, which is uncommon worldwide. However, there had been no news reports of such a significant crash.

Liu Yong was sceptical, "A C-17 transport plane crashed, such a big event, why have we never seen related news reports?"

Despite his doubts, Liu Yong continued investigating and became increasingly convinced that the M country had concealed the incident from the outside world.

Liu Yong wondered aloud, "Maybe, the M country concealed this matter and did not let the outside world report it at all. The transport plane that sank to the seabed of 3000 meters has been lying here all the time. Country M doesn't salvage it?"

Bawang replied, "That's difficult, very difficult! The salvage depth of 3,000 meters is also a big problem for country M. They are almost impossible to salvage, not to mention other countries. There is almost no possibility of salvage."

After confirming that the aircraft was a C-17 military transport plane that had crashed in the past one or two years, Liu Yong was curious about what was inside it.

He adjusted the angle of the third-party field of vision and saw inside the cabin. Liu Yong observed, "Inside the cabin, there are things, but not much." He could see a military jeep fixed on the cabin floor and a box set there.

Despite his curiosity, Liu Yong realized nothing of value was inside the wreckage.

Fortunately, the military transport plane was large enough for Bawang to get inside barely. As per Liu Yong's instructions, he carefully unloaded the plane's contents.

Although military jeeps looked appealing, they were utterly unusable after being soaked in seawater for at least a year or two.

However, the focus of attention was on a locked box that was found inside the plane. Bawang exerted force to open the box, revealing a variety of weapons and equipment, including pistols and assault rifles, all of which were M Army standard equipment.

As a half-military fan, Liu Yong was naturally inclined towards owning a real weapon.

However, the strict gun control laws in Yan Kingdom made him hesitant about using these guns, as they were shady. This made him slightly regretful.

Putting aside the weapons and military jeeps, Liu Yong's primary interest was the C-17 military transport aircraft they had found.

Despite some parts being slightly deformed due to water pressure, more than 99% of the features remained intact, owing to the presence of water pressure balance.

The C-17 is considered one of the most advanced military transport aircraft.

Although it was broken into two parts, there were only a few places with small deformations and minimal damage. The cockpit glass was still intact, and the preservation of the airborne electronic equipment and avionics equipment was relatively good. Additionally, the engine was mostly undamaged.

The engines of the aircraft held significant value since the aviation engine technology of Yan Country was 20 to 30 years behind that of M Country.

Simply recovering a few engines would be a huge accomplishment. Recovering the entire aircraft would be an even more significant achievement.

Liu Yong considered returning the aircraft but knew it was too big to move with his current resources.

The nearly 100-ton Bawang could only carry half of the plane, and it would have to wait for Bawang to grow up to move the entire aircraft.

However, Liu Yong realized it would be an outstanding achievement if he could successfully hand over the plane to the military or country with each detail about it.

This would undoubtedly bring him great credit and support for Universal Corporation, which would likely have strong backing.

With this in mind, Liu Yong decided to leave the aircraft untouched for the time being, but he couldn't help but feel tempted by the prospect of possessing such advanced technology.
