“What do you mean by that, Dad?” When Horus heard that, he was so frightened that the chicken drumstick slipped off his hand and fell to the ground as he stood up abruptly and said, “What happened? Aren’t they going to bring us the ring and necklace? My woman must be given the best things in life, and besides, I’ve already told Rachel about it!”
Yoel had a surprised look on his face and he could not help but remark, “But how? Why would they go back on their word all of a sudden? This is extremely unethical!”
Mason finally said, “I was informed that they have decided to send the pieces to Brookbourn to uphold their business’s integrity. They also mentioned that they were willing to compensate us for it, as if my family would want that puny little sum!”
Horus then stomped his feet in anger, “They’ve gone too far, Dad! The necklace and ring can only belong to Rachel! Only my wife is worthy of such beautiful items!”novelbin
