Chapter 318

Jerome himself was rather fired up as well. “How are you going to pay?”

Jerome had a bit of a name in the industry, and those two gamblers could hardly afford to mess with him. With the addition of Skyler, Matt, and the rest, the two gamblers said at once, “We’ll follow the rules and pay up three times how much we won.”

“Is that alright with you, sir?” Jerome looked at Skyler.

Skyler replied nonchalantly, “Sure.”

The two gamblers made the transfer to Skyler at once, apologizing to him once again.

Wilbur said, “So, I take it the whole cheating debacle is done with, Skyler White?”

“It’s done.”

Wilbur nodded. “Well, what about you stealing in my territory and attacking others when you get caught?”

It was the gamblers‘ fault for cheating, and they deserved to pay up for that.

But after that was sorted, the stealing was to be dealt with.

Skyler chuckled. “That’s just what I do. Besides, I stole from rich people. It’s like a Robin Hood situation.”

“And who were you feeding?” Wilbur asked coldly.

Skyler shrugged. “Me. I’m the poor here.”

Wilbur burst out laughing. “What about you beating up my men?”

“Well, I couldn’t just let them get me, could I? It’s not my fault they’re terrible fighters. Isn’t that how the rules go, anyway?” Skyler asked.

Wilbur smirked coldly. “You’re not wrong. Well, prepare to be taught a lesson, then.”

Skyler got to his feet slowly, staring at Wilbur. “I know you’re stronger than both of them, but I’d advise you against getting physical with me. You’re going to get your body and your pride hurt. It won’t look good for you.”

Skyler could tell that Wilbur was the real top dog in Seechertown, but he was too arrogant to pay Wilbur any mind at all.

Wilbur chuckled. “Don’t worry about that. I’ll make sure you have some fun, yeah?”

Skyler’s expression grew solemn. After all, the calm and collected look on Wilbur’s face did seem rather powerful.

Wilbur smiled at the look on Skyler’s face, beckoning to him.

Skyler flushed an ugly shade of purple, sensing Wilbur’s teasing tone. Skyler exploded with his spirit energy, overwhelming everyone in the room.

“Ambience level, huh? No wonder Matt and Gerard weren’t a match for you,” Wilbur mused.

The other gamblers in the room could barely breathe due to the pressure of Skyler’s spirit energy. They trembled all over and turned pale in the face.

Wilbur merely crossed his hands behind his back, hardly paying him any mind.

Skyler was furious at that. How dare Wilbur act so cocky in the presence of an Ambience level cultivator?

“Take this!” Skyler shouted. He ducked and vanished at once.

Wilbur raised a brow in confusion. The next second, Skyler appeared behind Wilbur and aimed an attack infused with spirit energy toward Wilbur’s waist.

Wilbur deflected the blow with a wave of his arm, sending a punch to Skylar’s face.

The punch did not contain any spirit energy, but Wilbur was strong enough for the punch to do some damage to an Ambience

level cultivator.

Skyler reeled in shock. He disappeared once again, reappearing a few meters away from Wilbur.

Wilbur stared at Skyler. “Wow, you know how to Splitmove. I’ve underestimated you.”

“That’s how we lost to him just now, sir! Be careful,” Gerard shouted.
