Nancy got up in a hurry. “Let’s not get angry, guys. We’re just here to have some fun.”
Yet Edward said, “Who are you to say that to me? I came all this way just because of Cindy, or none of you would even get to share the same room with me!”
Edward’s words were a little harsh, and there was obvious displeasure in everyone’s expressions.
However, due to the nature of Edward’s status, no one could really say anything.
Everyone here worked in Seechertown and could not afford to offend someone like the son of the district manager.
One classmate raised his glass. “Mister Channing, please calm down. Here, I’ll drink with you.”
“Oh? And you are?” Edward said haughtily.
The classmate said at once, “My name’s Frank Cedar. I was just transferred to Weston District for work. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mister Channing.”
Frank was all smiles, draining his glass in one go.
Everyone else sighed to themselves. Of course, there would be someone like this at every gathering.
The gathering soon turned sour, and no one had the appetite to eat anymore. Wilbur was no exception.
He was only holding back because of Nancy and planned to leave as soon as he was done eating.
Just as everyone was digging into the food quietly, the door of the room was pushed open, and a middle–aged man came
walking in.
“Hello, everyone! I’m Steve Zoner, the manager of this place. I sincerely welcome all of you.”
Steve raised his glass, indicating a toast to everyone.
Everyone was a little surprised by the gesture. The manager here was probably someone with some status, yet he was there to
make a toast to them.
Just as everyone was about to raise their respective glasses in response, Edward said, “Thanks for that, Mister Zoner.”
Steve chuckled. “I just heard that Mister Channing was here, so I thought I’d come and have a drink with everyone.”
That only made everyone even more annoyed. Cindy was the only one smiling smugly.
Everyone raised their glasses in the end, having a drink with Steve before he left.
Just then, Cindy said, “I’m going to go to the restroom. Please excuse me.”

She then got up and went to the bathroom.
Just then, a short, stout man came out of the bathroom reeking of alcohol.
The sight of Cindy’s alluring curves made him light up, and he reached out to grope her buttocks.
“What are you doing?” Cindy shrieked in shock, pointing at the man.
The man flared up in anger at once. “What the hell are you shouting for? Are you trying to act all high and mighty when you work in a place like this?!”
It was obvious that the man had mistaken Cindy for one of the hostesses there from the way she was dressed.
Cindy was furious at his words, slapping the man at once as she roared, “What the f*ck did you just say to me? You’re the one working here!”
The man was obviously caught off guard by the slap and did not return to his senses until Cindy had left.
She returned to the room in a fit of rage, and Edward frowned at the sight of her. “What’s the matter?”

“What’s the matter? I ran into a pervert, and he groped me! Ugh!” Cindy fumed.
Edward flared up at once. “Motherf*cker, how dare he!”
Upon speaking, Edward got up and walked out at once. His lover had just been taken advantage of. There was no way he was going to let that slide.
Just as he left the room, Frank immediately got up too. “I’m leaving too. I’d like to see who’s got the nerve to do such a thing! I’m going to teach him a lesson.”
Everyone exchanged glances with each other, but the pair had already left the room with Cindy.
They arrived in the hallway and saw the man making his way to the karaoke room angrily. Cindy shouted, “That’s him!”
