Chase’s expression darkened. “You’re suspended from your position starting this very second. You and your nephew will undergo investigation in the meantime, which I will see to personally and no mercy will be shown.”
Harrod nearly fainted at the words.
The thought of Chase finding out about his little schemes in the past and the consequences that were to come was too much for Harrod. With that, he keeled over and fell unconscious

Just then, the secretary behind Chase looked at the officers Harrod had come with. “What are you waiting for? Take these two where they need to be. You lot are going to undergo investigation too and will be severely punished if I find anything
The officers did not dare to waste a second. They lifted Harrod off the floor, dragging Bernie away as well before leaving
At the same time, Bernie’s two friends took the opportunity to sneak away. Neither of them dared to stay in the cafe for a second longer.
Chase said, “I truly am sorry for what happened. I’ve got some faults in having bastards like these in my department.”

“Oh, please don’t say that.” Chase heaved a sigh of relief as well. He understood what Gordon looking at Wilbur had meant.
It was obvious that this wouldn’t be over if Wilbur refused to let the situation go, and that would mean trouble for Chase.
This was Master Grayson’s sworn brother he was dealing with, someone that few people in Dasha would dare to mess with
Just then, Gordon spoke up as well. “Thank you for the hard work, Chase. Drinks on me next time. I’ll make sure of it.”
“Sure! I’ll take you up on that!”
Chase knew that it was time for him to leave, and he shook hands with Gordon and Wilbur warmly before bidding them goodbye.
Just then, Wilbur came up to the dazed cafe owner with a smile. “You’re fine now. Keep running this cafe of yours. The food here is amazing
Wilbur then left with Gordon, the pair wallding off into the morning sun.
The cafe owner still did not know exactly how powerful these two men were to have taken care of Bernie and Harrod just like
that.
It was important to note that Harrod was someone powerful enough to seal the cafe owner’s fate in the food industry.
Yet in front of those two men just now, Harrod had lonlord nothing but pathetic.
A long time later, the cafe owner mumbled to himself, “Seems like I ran into gods today.”
Wilbur and Gordon chatted as they strolled back to Castlebury. The pair confirmed their plans for the night with each other, before heading back to their homes.
Willur fell deep into thought after returning home, sitting in his living room. But it was not what happened just now that he was thinking about.
A long while later, he got a pen and paper and began writing. That lasted until the evening
Faye returned from work to see Wilbur writing away, to which she was quite surprised. “Boss, what’s this? Are you planning to become a writer?”
“Why did you call me that, and why did you say that?” Wilbur glared at her. “I’m going to the Graysons for dinner tonight. 1 can’t just go empty–handed.”
