Lord MMORPG: The Demon Progenietor

Chapter 52 Bloodlust

Chapter 52 Bloodlust

Hannah felt a chill down her spine as she saw the vast field of dead creatures. The final attack from the Reaper was also very powerful.

'This is the power he possesses in this world.' Hannah thought as she recalled the way Xander's... puppets killed the monsters.

"Let's go across." Xander's voice reached her ears and she looked to see him already going and she hurried to his side.

"We're finally leaving," Hannah mumbled with a sigh.

"It's not over yet."

"Huh?" Hannah looked at Xander, confused at his statement.

"I said it's not over yet. The Manticore is still nowhere to be found. We have to be ready for anything."

As Xander said that, the dragon scale embraced his body, covering each spot with its crimson metal and making him feel a tad bit safer.

Xander wasn't wrong though. As they reached just 300 metres away from the labyrinth the manticore stepped into the cave from the entrance.

Its gaze immediately went to Xander. It never forgets the aura of those who fear it. The manticore let out a loud roar which shook the caves.

Your next chapter awaits on empire

"Ahhnn~"

Xander turned around to see Hannah clutching her head while looking like she was in pain.

'It could be a mind attack.' Xander thought quickly as he activated one of his advantages so far.

[Using the ring of knights on target 'level 100' manticore.

The Target's level is far above yours, duration is limited. Time remaining: 2:00]

Hannah sighed as she looked at the manticore in fear. Its tails swayed as it walked towards them. It's mouth salivating as it picked up a dead creature randomly and gobbled it up immediately.

'Shit. I only get two minutes to deal with this mf.' Xander cursed inwardly.

"You rea..." Xander stopped halfway as he looked back to see Hannah on the floor unconscious, her ears bleeding.

"No, no, no, no, no, no." Xander then knew that the mental attack the manticore launched affected her too much.

He looked at the manticore that looked behind him. Xander turned and saw a small horde of creatures running towards them.

As Xander looked forward he saw the manticore in the air with its claws outstretched, ready to claim his life.

Xander saw that it would take at least eight seconds for the manticore to reach him so he immediately raised his hand.

Six red orbits appeared in the air and began spinning like mirrors. They spun in an orderly, circular motion.

Xander looked back and he controlled chains to come out of each of the holes. The spinning ring of Primordial chains turned into a disc and Xander sent it towards the creatures coming towards them.

Xander then turned to the Manticore and then he raised his spear to black the Manticore's attack.

Xander, although he stuck his legs in the sand, was still knocked away to the side a couple of miles.

The makeshift rasen-shuriken that Xander threw had killed all the creatures coming from the labyrinth as it was only one way to get across. The manticore now stood where Xander stood before and it looked at Hannah on the floor and then raised its paw to strike again.

A red chain blade appeared out of nowhere and scratched the Manticore's cheek.

*ROAARRRRR!!!*

The manticore let out a loud roar of rage as it ran towards Xander again.

Xander was at a level that was far below that of the manticore. There was no way he would be able to defeat it.

He immediately jumped back and avoided a claw before activating the dragon king mode of the dragon scale.

He felt his strength and speed increase and he flew towards the manticore. The labyrinth was like a huge city so the manticore was able to fly here too.

It flew into the air and immediately went towards Xander with its paw outstretched while growling aggressively.

Xander knew that he was no match for the manticore. But with the dragon king form and his skill super body active he could not be immediately killed by a single attack.

He tried his best to keep the manticore from Hannah as she was not looking very good with the blood on her ears.

The manticore then moved with Xander and struck down on his head.

Xander raised his spear and the force of the paw of the manticore made his legs sink into the sand.

Seeing Xander turning his head the manticore looked at the girl the Manticore's eyes beamed with intelligence as it rushed to Hannab while baring its fangs.

"NO!!" Xander shouted as he rushed to the location but he was far slower than the manticore.

He removed his armor and turned it into a spear. He threw it with all his force and the spear cut through air as it went towards the manticore.

The manticore saw a blade coming towards him and it shifted to avoid the spear and that's when the spear hit Hannah who was unconscious.

The spear immediately reformed and spread all around her body before it turned into a very solid ball.

The manticore roared as it tried to break the dragon scale sphere that protected Hannah and it finally attacked Xander.

...

Xander had super body active so he was not hurt when he was thrown around by the manticore.

His back slammed the cave walls again as Xander stood up again and clutched his arm which was seemingly broken and paralyzed. Blood trickled down from his forehead and his arm as he gritted his teeth.

'Why hasn't it worked yet?' Xander thought. That single thought of his distracted him for a second and the manticore swiped Xander and this attack seemed more powerful than the last.

Xander rolled on the sand with only one arm functioning properly.

'I can't do anything. I'm sorry Dad.' As he said those words more bad news rang out to him.

*Ding!*

[Two minutes of the ring of nights has been diminished.]

'Why is my life like this?' Xander asked inwardly with a bitter smile as a giant flame ball shot out of the Manticore's mouth towards Xander.

'I guess this is it.' Xander thought but he was immediately taken aback when he saw a new notification.
