In their battle, both the Twin-legged Flying Dragon and the leader of the Barbaric Bulls suffered heavy injuries.

The Flying Dragon’s abdomen got gouged open by a Barbaric Bull that struck upward, causing blood to flow freely. The leader of the Barbaric Bulls was in a worse state. Even though it had narrowly avoided being hit at its vital points, its body became corroded by the acid-like poison. There were also two deep wounds on its back created by the claws of the Flying Dragon, deep enough to show bone.

The leader of the Barbaric Bulls charged toward the cliff’s edge with abandon, but just as its mouth touched the red fruit, it vanished, as Yang Ling snatched it away!

The Twin-legged Flying Dragon and leader of the Barbaric Bulls only reacted after Yang Ling had the red fruit tucked into his Space Ring and had disappeared using his Earth Evasion Wizard Technique.

Roar...

The leader of the Barbaric Bulls and the Twin-legged Flying Dragon went completely berserk, unleashing their full bestial qualities. They disregarded the injuries on their bodies, chasing after Yang Ling at the same time.

Hmph, they’re asking for death!

Looking at the Flying Dragon and Barbaric Bull pursuing him wildly, Yang Ling smiled coldly. Instead of speeding up his pace and fleeing, he did the opposite: he slowed down, luring them into the attack radius of his Magical Beast army.

He had been prepared to leave quickly after snatching the red fruit. But he had an idea after seeing the Flying Dragon and the Barbaric Bulls, which changed his mind at the last minute.

The Twin-legged Flying Dragon flew fast, and had powerful close combat abilities, so it would be a rare, high quality addition to his list of tamed Magical Creatures. The Barbaric Bulls were a little slower and had subpar offensive capabilities, but they made up for it with their thick hide and immense strength. Come spring, his territory would be planting crops on a large scale, and these Barbaric Bulls would be perfect as labor for tilling the lands.

Roar...

The Twin-legged Flying Dragon arrived first, beating its large, wide wings and stalking toward Yang Ling, wild with bloodlust. The leader of the Barbaric Bulls followed close behind, leading the tank-like Barbaric Bulls in the charge toward Yang Ling, who had their prize.

After the Twin-legged Flying Dragon and most of the Barbaric Bulls had entered the attack radius, Yang Ling once again teleported backward while instructing his Magical Beast army to attack. In that instant, on the treetops, from in the bushes, and from under the ground, Magical Beasts that had been waiting so long emerged from all around them.

The first to take action were the cannoneer-like Evil Eye army. Under the command of the Evil Eye Tyrant, they first used their blinding light to damage the Flying Dragon and Barbaric Bulls’ vision, and began attacking their vital points.

After the Evil Eyes executed three barrages of attack, the Horned Bee Beasts and self-destructing bats joined the fray, fast as lightning, attacking in coordinated groups. The Horned Bee Beasts shot out a concentrated rain of poisonous stingers, while the self destructing bats focused their attacks on the Twin-legged Flying Dragon and the leader of the Barbaric Bulls.

The Withered Tree Warriors stayed by Yang Ling’s side, acting as the last line of defense, in case any creatures slipped free of the fighting. The spider army attacked from one side under the orders of the Tarantula King, blocking off the Barbaric Bulls’ route of escape.

The Twin-legged Flying Dragon was flustered after having lost its sight, but it reacted quickly, beating a hasty retreat. It defended against the poisonous stingers of the Horned Bee Beasts using its tightly knit scales, and using its memory, flew toward the north as best it could.

The Barbaric Bulls were having trouble defending themselves against his Magical Beast army, so Yang Ling mounted his Unicorn and chased after the Twin-legged Flying Dragon that he wanted to tame the most. Under his command, the self-destructing bats followed closely behind.

Even though the Twin-legged Flying Dragon could not open its eyes due to the pain, its instincts might have allowed it to sense that there were pursuers behind him. It flew onward as best it could. But its stamina had decreased drastically because of its abdomen wound. The injury had not impacted its speed in the short term, but its speed had obviously decreased after flying for a distance.

The Unicorn was a speedy creature, and the Twin-legged Flying Dragon might not have been able to shake it even if it were at peak health. Under Yang Ling’s command, the Unicorn easily caught up to the injured Twin-legged Flying Dragon.

Let’s see where you can run off to next!

Having tailed it for some time and seeing the Twin-legged Flying Dragon really slowing down, it began to dip in altitude, and Yang Ling hesitated no longer. He instructed the self-destructing bats to charge the creature, and aim straight for the injury on its abdomen. At the same time, the Unicorn shot out a thick bolt of purple snake-shaped lightning, following up with the initial attack.

The Twin-legged Flying Dragon did a barrel roll to avoid the terrifying lightning, but its reaction time was so reduced that it could not avoid the suicide bats.

After a chain of explosions, the wound on its abdomen looked grotesque. Its intestines seemed to be about to fall out, and it was bleeding freely. It slumped helplessly onto the snow covered ground, wailing weakly. Soon, the snake venom in the miniature bombs started to take effect. The Flying Dragon’s convulsions became increasingly weaker, and it was no longer able to fly even after it flapped its wings a few times.

As a level eight Magical Beast, the tightly knit scales on its body were very sturdy, and it was able to defend itself against even the poisonous stingers of the Horned Bee Beasts. But unfortunately for it, after being unable to dodge the attack, the speedy self-destructing bats had found an opportunity to wound it through the two deep wounds inflicted by the sharp horns of the Barbaric Bulls!

After instructing the Unicorn to release a few more bolts of lightning and ascertaining that the Twin-legged Flying Dragon no longer had the power to retaliate, Yang Ling walked briskly toward its body and pressed his bloodied index finger onto the creature’s head. Soon, mysterious symbols surfaced around the body of the Flying Dragon before it disappeared into thin air, absorbed into the space of the Wizard’s Pagoda.

After successfully taming the Twin-legged Flying Dragon, Yang Ling quickly re-mounted his Unicorn and returned. He instructed his Magical Beast army to attack those Barbaric Bulls that were still stubbornly fighting, then tamed the injured bulls one by one. Even though the offensive capabilities of these Barbaric Bulls were incomparable to the Unicorn and the Twin-legged Flying Dragon and were not high level Magical Beasts, Yang Ling knew he could find a use for their immense strength.

Against the ambush of the Magical Beast army, faced with the hordes of Horned Bee Beasts, Evil Eyes and spiders, the Barbaric Bulls were unable to defend against their piercing attacks. The outcome of the battle was clear. Soon, over a hundred Barbaric Bulls had fallen to the ground. Each was tamed and transported to the space with the Wizard’s Pagoda to heal. Now Yang Ling had a moment to think.

The tree was definitely not an ordinary tree, being able to bear a fruit that received the blessings of Mother Nature! Yang Ling returned to the cliff to collect it. He transported the tree carefully into the space of the Wizard’s Pagoda, and planted it near the Tree of Life. Then Yang Ling instructed the Magical Beast army to clear up the battlefield. After ensuring that he had not missed any other treasures, he recalled the Magical Beast army and rushed to leave the area before Magical Beasts made their way there, following the stench of blood.

After making his way far away from the battlefield and sitting cross legged in a desolate valley, Yang Ling surveyed the spoils of his battle.

Other than taming the high level Twin-legged Flying Dragon and a bunch of Barbaric Bulls, his greatest spoil would be the red fruit. He held it in his hand and inspected it carefully.

According to the memories of the Twin-legged Flying Dragon, this was a Fire Dragon Fruit rarely seen on the Tailun Continent. It harbored Magical Energy when it was ripe, and consuming it would rapidly increase the amount of Magical Energy in a person’s body. It would also greatly increase the speed of the cultivation of high level magical spells.

For half a year, after stumbling across the Fire Dragon Fruit growing by the cliff, the Twin-legged Flying Dragon had stood guard by the Fire Dragon Tree day and night, hoping to evolve after consuming the Fire Dragon Fruit to become a level nine Magical Beast like the Flying Dragon King. It did not expect that after guarding it effortfully for half a year and chasing away countless Magical Beasts, it was Yang Ling who got the better end of the deal.

Yang Ling summoned some Horned Bee Beasts to guard his body, and closed his eyes. He sensed the ripples of energy released by the Fire Dragon Fruit. According to the Twin-legged Flying Dragon, the Fire Dragon Fruit might harbor a massive amount of Magical Energy, but to him, what it was harboring was a pulsing spiritual energy. He might be able to break through to the level of high level Earth Wizard by consuming the fruit.

Taming high level Magical Beasts was important, but improving his personal abilities was even more important!

After a moment’s hesitation, Yang Ling quickly ate the Fire Dragon Fruit, while slowly circulating the Wizard Power in his body.

A searing hot energy immediately flooded into his body. After making its way around his body, the energy followed the mysterious path taken by the Wizard Power, circulating throughout his body at the same time. Round after round, the searing energy was converted into a red Wizard Power by the Wizard Core in his body.

After absorbing a large amount of energy, his Wizard Core gradually increased in size, its color darkening. The Wizard Core pulsed as it released a magnificent Wizard Power. The Body Honing Wizard Mantra activated on its own. Every inch of his skin, every inch of his bones were absorbing the pure energy as though they were starving.

With his mind clear, Yang Ling started to recite the Psychic Mantra, trying his best to absorb the life force released by the trees. Slowly, a green fog descended upon the valley, thickening as time passed.

The Terras Forest spanned tens of thousands of miles, and harbored an inexhaustible supply of life force. Under the effects of Yang Ling’s Psychic Mantra, even blades of grass half an inch tall released tendrils of green life force, much less the giant, ancient trees.

Sometime later, the pagoda shaped brand between Yang Ling’s brows began throbbing slowly, heating up as it swallowed the magnificent life force in the valley like a bottomless pit.

If Yang Ling had been in the space of the Wizard’s Pagoda, he would have seen that the space was expanding rapidly, the clear water in the lake getting fuller, and the area of the small lake expanding. The white fog released by the Wizard’s Pagoda was thickening, and the lifelike pictures of fierce beasts on Pagoda itself were getting clearer, releasing faint roars...

After following the green fog toward the desolate valley, the Magical Beasts that came from all directions consumed the rare green fog with abandon. Even though the fog was thicker in the valley, none of the Magical Beasts dared to enter. Even a few high-level Magical Beasts were no exception.

As telepathic Magical Beasts, they could feel danger coming from within the valley. The waves of faint roars almost made even their souls shudder. The closer they got to the valley, the more obvious the feeling of danger became!
