After creating ten Magic Hunting Cards in one go, Yang Ling quickly left the space of the Wizard’s Pagoda and walked quickly toward the Beast Taming Ground. He wanted to test the power of the Magic Hunting Cards with Bolso of the Sumeer people and the hunter, Viola.

Among the practitioners of the Soul of the Wild Beasts, the unique way of taming beasts created by the Sumeer people, Bolso was the frontrunner amongst the younger generation of his tribe. Be it young wolves or injured Violent Earth Bears, they would all obey Bolso without hesitation. In terms of overall abilities, he could not stand up to one of Yang Ling’s fingers. But in terms of techniques to tame ferocious beasts, Yang Ling had to admit defeat.

Overall abilities was the most important thing to a troop, and that applied to the hunters as well.

After witnessing the beast taming techniques masterfully executed by Bolso, all of the hunters at the Beast Taming Ground were completely convinced. No one had any objections to him being the leader of the group.

Compared to Bolso, Viola the hunter was inferior in terms of beast taming, but he had the advantage of vast hunting experience, and was proficient in setting traps. Of every ten Magical Beasts captured by the hunting team affiliated with the Beast Taming Ground, six had been captured by the team led by Viola. Thus, no one had any dissent when it came to him being the leader of the group of hunters.

Viola was responsible for hunting, Bolso for training, and Goode for the entire operations of the Beast Taming Ground. Just like that, the Beast Taming Ground was quickly on the right track. But even though they experienced rapid development, they were unable to meet the demands in Yang Ling’s heart.

Because of the limits in their ability, Viola and the rest could only capture low to mid-level Magical Beasts. They didn’t have the guts to approach a high-level Magical Beast like the Twin-legged Flying Dragon, much less capture it! Even though Bolso and the rest of the Sumeer people had several unique techniques when it came to hunting, they were also limited by their individual ability, and were each unable to capture high-level Magical Beasts.

Other than the affiliate hunting team, even though they were purchasing a large number of Magical Beasts from the adventurers, they were all low to mid-level Magical Beasts. Because of this, the Beast Taming Ground completely lacked high-level Magical Beasts. This was an inadequacy of the Beast Taming Ground, especially one that intended to brand itself as top notch.

But now that they had the Magic Hunting Cards, there was a possibility that they could solve this problem!

The main reason Summoners were so rare on the Tailun Continent was not because the summoning spells were hard to grasp, but because it was hard to come across a space that could store Magical Beasts. Besides the elusive Great Alchemists that were adept at using space element magic, there was no way an ordinary person could create a Space Necklace.

With the Magic Hunting Cards, Yang Ling was confident that he could teach Bolso, Viola and the rest basic summoning spells quickly. As long as he gave them a way to obtain a few high-level Magical Beasts as their summoning beasts, their battle capabilities would improve by leaps and bounds, making them able to capture high-level Magical Beasts.

Capturing high-level Magical Beasts, imparting summoning spells, even nurturing them to become Blood Wizards that could tame Magical Beasts, then capturing even more high-level Magical Beasts... This way, he would be able to form a virtuous cycle, guaranteeing that the Beast Taming Ground would have enough resources to create premium magic groups, continuously bolstering his cabal.

The castle was a little distance away from the Beast Taming Ground, and Yang Ling had to pass by the places with high traffic, like the bar and the Shangri-La. After walking some distance, smelling the thick scent of alcohol in the air, Yang Ling had just been considering if he wanted to go drink a bit of rum when suddenly a beggar – an old man – was thrown gruffly from the bar.

Following that, a pretty female soldier and a few muscular men stormed out of the bar, and behind them a group of soldiers and adventurers watching the show.

“You old lecher, I’ll stomp you to death! Let’s see if you dare touch me ever again!” The female soldier, who was wearing a short leather skirt despite the cold, spoke as she kicked the old beggar where he lay on the ground. She wore a furious expression, seemingly hoping to kick the old man until he died.

Yang Ling had assumed that the old beggar was being bullied by some soldiers, but this was a surprise indeed.

The old beggar was disheveled, his hair and clothes mussed, and his body dirty and scarred. He rolled around crying pathetically, and being very loud. His cries did not sound like pathetic wails, but the roars of a sex starved wild beast.

“You deserve this punishment. Trying to touch someone’s thigh even at your age, you are basically asking for death! You should know better.”

“Are you for real? You still have feelings for women even at this age? Tsk tsk, wow. Were you trying to steal Bess’s crystal coins?”

“Have you ever seen any woman that would keep their crystal coins on their thighs?”

The crowd took in all of the details with gusto, and murmured amongst themselves. Yang Ling had seen enough.

As it turned out, Bess had just completed a mission with her teammates and had received a large payout. In their joy, the entire troop had come to celebrate at the bar.

After drinking three bottles of strong rum, Bess flirted with the soldier she had feelings for from time to time. Being slightly drunk, she did not care that the person chasing her was touching her.

While they were drinking their fourth bottle of rum, she felt a hand gently stroking her thigh. At first she had not minded it, only scolding the person beside her. But the person touching her became more insistent.

As the hands wandered further, she came to her senses and slapped the hand away. But when she looked back, expecting to see her sometimes lover, she discovered the disheveled old man instead, and nearly fainted on the spot.

It turned out that the person sneakily touching her was a stranger. An old man whose teeth had almost all fallen out. A beggar whose clothes had as many holes as a fishing net!

Bess screamed shrilly and instinctively threw him away from her, her Battle Energy kicking in, and he tumbled out the door.

Yang Ling had not been prepared to encounter a true pervert. If this had happened on Earth, the old beggar might have made it into the Guinness Book of World Records, or internet famous, for his gross overstep.

Hang on, something’s not right!

Yang Ling looked at the old man writhing on the ground, and back to Bess. She had powerful abilities, and was able to kick large rocks as if they were foam. She must have easily been at Great Swordsman level.

But despite having suffered a torrent of fierce kicks, even after Bess was panting from exertion, the old man was still wailing loudly, his volume increasing instead of weakening. While he flopped like a fish, he even sometimes smiled crookedly.

Yang Ling instructed Orlando and the rest of the guards behind him hold, silently paying attention the old beggar’s behavior. Soon, he confirmed that this incident was not as simple as everyone had imagined.

On the surface, Bess’s attacks were powerful, with nearly every kick landing heavily. But every time, when the kick landed, the beggar was just pretending to writhe in pain, while he ingeniously dodged the attacks. His crying was all a sham!

The old beggar’s movements were realistic and convincing. He was also very fast. If not for the boost in his abilities, even Yang Ling might have been fooled.

Then Yang Ling noticed the man was wearing two Space Rings. Upon closer inspection, Yang Ling could see that the man had disguised the rings as fakes, no different from the rings one could buy from a roadside stall for a single crystal coin. A person with extraordinary abilities might also pick up on the unique energy emanating from the Space Ring, even if an ordinary Spellcaster might not notice it.

Space Rings were exceedingly rare on the Tailun Continent, and a person that owned two of them would be even rarer. But what caught Yang Ling’s attention even more were the carvings on the surface of both Space Rings.

Similar to the Space Necklace that was able to seal Magical Beasts, without the ability of a Great Alchemist that had an ample understanding of space element magic, there was no way that an ordinary alchemist would be able to create a Space Ring.

Under normal circumstances, the patterns on the surface of a Space Ring was connected to how large or small the space within the ring was. The more complex the pattern, the larger the space within. It was rumored that the largest Space Rings could even store an entire mountain.

The Space Ring he picked up from the Taildon Valley had eighteen patterns, and the space within the ring was as large as a ballroom. It could store a dozen full carts of rations, many, many crystals, or thousands of corpses of the Barbaric Bulls if the need arose...

Yang Ling couldn’t make out how many mysterious patterns were on the old beggar’s Space Rings. It was a cluster of patterns, its complexity far superior to the Space Ring he wore. He could not imagine how large the space within the ring was!

Could it be that the old man was a Great Alchemist, and was hiding his identity?

The ring on the old beggar’s finger was unique. Even if he was not a Great Alchemist, he at least had some connections with a Great Alchemist. Otherwise, there was no way that he could disguise it as well!

After a moment’s deliberation, Yang Ling whispered hurried instructions into Orlando’s ear. The latter left quickly, riding a fast horse back to the military base in the castle!
