After instructing the group to seize the time to train, Yang Ling left the Wizard Pagoda’s Space, silently appearing within the tent. He pulled back the drapes and walked out of the tent.

Cracking the secrets behind the Dragon Head Ring and creating Magical Divine Rings were important as it influenced the successful setting up of the Magical Beast Divine System. However, if it was already this troublesome to break open a first-level Dragon Head Ring, then it would be even more difficult to break open the higher-level Dragon Head Rings. There was no way that he could break open them all within a short amount of time. He did not have to rush it either. He could break open the Dragon Head Rings and create the Magical Divine Rings while he was traveling in the future.

“Lord!” Seeing Yang Ling’s figure, the bald Mammoth Butler and Thousand-handed Blood Vine Elizabeth who had been patrolling around the tent approached him at the same time, bowing respectfully. Their expressions were haggard as if they were completely exhausted. What surprised Yang Ling even more was that there were bloodstains on Butler’s clothes, and it seemed as though he had been lightly injured.

Could it be that the people from the Algernon Divine System had returned?

Yang Ling’s heart shook when he recalled the large group of powerful guards by Dio’s side. He let out his massive Mental Energy, cautiously scouting the movements around him. With the abilities of the other party, the outcome would be disastrous for them if they launched a surprise attack on Yang Ling and his group while they were not paying attention! An ordinary person would not be able to defend against the surprise attacks of a few peak High-level Deities, much less Divine Duty Experts!

Whoosh...

His massive Mental Energy spread outward like a spider web, easily enveloping the entire radius of the wanderers’ campsite before spreading out rapidly once again. After absorbing Vladimir’s immense Soul Energy and advancing to a Mid-level Soul Wizard, Yang Ling’s Soul Energy had improved by leaps and bounds, his Divine Knowledge now becoming much more powerful than before. He could clearly sense every movement around him even without the help of his patrolling Magical Beasts. There were many people acting sneakily within the campsite, but Yang Ling could not detect Dio and his group no matter how many times he tried.

“Butler, you seemed to have fought with someone, what’s with the blood on your clothes?” After heaving a sigh of relief, Yang Ling asked the bald Mammoth beside him doubtfully. Other than the arrogant group from the Algernon Divine System, he could not think of anyone else who would come and attack them.

“Yang Ling, the situation is troublesome, very troublesome!”

Just as Butler had clenched his teeth and was about to report the situation, the Chief Elven Priest, who was wielding her magical staff, voiced out as she walked toward him together with the God of Swords Gerald. After receiving news that Yang Ling had come out, the black-robed elder Wilcox, Richardson, and the rest of the group also walked quickly toward him. All of them had a sullen expression. It was as if something terrible had just happened.

“Many things happened at the campsite during the few days that you were training.” After sitting down within the tent and seeing the injuries on Butler, the God of Swords, Gerald, the Chief Elven Priest and the rest of the group were overcome with worry.

“At the start, we were worried that the people from the Algernon Divine System would send men and engage in a surprise attack and thus sent men to communicate with the wanderers in the campsite, hoping to join forces as we headed toward the Wandering Castle at the Sunset Plains. Unexpectedly...”

The Chief Elven Priest paused, then slowly started explaining things.

As it turned out, the entire campsite of the wanderers had broken into a commotion after the people from the Algernon Divine System had been pushed back, everyone heading over to greet the Chief Elven Priest, God of Swords, Richardson, and the rest of the group. Some of them invited the group to have a few cups to drink; others wanted to band up with them and continue the journey toward the Wandering Castle together; others even sent over special items from their hometowns... They had been incredibly passionate, partying for hours.

However, the situation took a drastic turn for the worst overnight!

Sometime after, rumors of Yang Ling being a mere Mid-level Deity and only managing to defeat Divine Duty Expert Vladimir with the help of a top-notch Core Divine Weapon protecting his body, spread within the campsite. The rumor was that whoever obtained the protective Core Divine Weapon that Yang Ling possessed would become an unparalleled fighter who was even more powerful than an average Divine Duty Expert in an instant.

The reason for the wanderers roaming the dimensions all these years was to search for ways to break through their bottleneck and advance to the next level. The reason for them taking the risk and entering the Graveyard of Deities and Demons was to see if they were fortunate enough to obtain some treasure that had immense power. A top-notch Core Divine Weapon that contained immense power would definitely allure them!

High-level divinity was hard to come by, but coming in contact with a top-notch Core Divine Weapon required a whole other level of luck!

Even a high-level Divine Duty Expert within the Divine Systems would not be able to easily obtain a Core Divine Weapon, much less these wanderers who roamed outside of the various major Divine Systems! To some of the wanderers who had not managed to achieve a breakthrough despite training for tens, if not hundreds of thousands of years, a Divine Weapon with immense power was the only shortcut they had when it came to improving their abilities!

Early the next day, some of the wanderers approached the group to fish for information about Yang Ling’s abilities and background under the pretext of paying their respects, being incredibly passionate. Wilcox, Richardson, and the rest of the group were not newcomers to the business and naturally glossed over the topic. At the start, the group had not paid too much attention to the situation, but as more and more people started developing their own plans and as more and more people started trying to dig out information about Yang Ling’s abilities and background, the group quickly started becoming more cautious, feigning ignorance. Wilcox was experienced and soon managed to find out about this alarming rumor after making a few rounds around the campsite.

Since diplomacy did not work, they decided to use force instead.

After being unable to dig out information about Yang Ling and holding it in for two days, a few desperate individuals could not hold it in anymore. They infiltrated the temporary campsite of the group in the middle of the night and attempted to sneak into Yang Ling’s tent, engaging in an intense battle with the bald Mammoth Butler and Thousand-handed Blood Vine Elizabeth who had been guarding the tent.

One, two...

Even though Butler and Elizabeth managed to fend off the surprise attacks of the enemies with the help of Richardson, the Chief Elven Priest, and the rest of the group, they still suffered heavy injuries. Most of the wanderers within the wanderers’ campsite only had abilities of a Low-level Deity or Mid-level Deity, however, there was also a fair share of High-level Deities. Amongst them were no shortage of High-level Deities at the peak of their abilities, some of them even able to defeat Richardson even at his peak.

As more and more people started harboring errant thoughts, the situation became more and more dire!

“Hehe, they want to snatch my treasures?” Yang Ling let out a cold smile after understanding what was going on.

If this was a few days ago, he would not have wanted to become enemies with these wanderers. Now, after having advanced to become a mid-level Soul Wizard and gaining a preliminary understanding of the secrets behind the Soul Control, he did not mind teaching those with errant thoughts a harsh lesson. Yang Ling was confident that he would be able to kill a person at the peak of High-level Deity, much less any average High-level Deity.

“Yang Ling, let’s go, let’s leave quickly. We have to leave this area through the night. We have to reach the Wandering Castle as soon as possible!” The Chief Elven Priest was overcome with worry. During these two days, she had had her heart in her mouth. If not for the fact that she would interrupt Yang Ling’s recovery, she would have long barged into the tent and brought him away.

In her eyes, this wanderers’ campsite that was not protected or governed by anyone was a gathering place for gangsters!

“That’s right, let’s leave immediately. We would be much safer if we manage to make it to the Astonvela Manor!” The black-robed elder Wilcox knit his brows, loudly agreeing with the Chief Elven Priest’s suggestions. Seeing that Yang Ling had not shown himself for the longest time, the wanderers within the campsite became more and more convinced that he was a mere Mid-level Deity and that he had a powerful protective Divine Weapon. They were all going to attack him while he was injured. The entire campsite had become fraught with danger, the situation getting more and more dire.

“Hehe, there’s no rush, let’s all have a good sleep tonight, it’s not too late to leave tomorrow!” Yang Ling smiled, stroking the handle of the Battle Soul Blade behind his back. He said calmly, “Not only have I managed to recover from my injuries over these two days, but I have also unintentionally advanced to become a High-level Deity. I just intended to test out my abilities on a few people. I’ll test out my blade on anyone who’s ignorant enough to dare to infiltrate the area tonight!”

It was about time to leave this filthy wanderers’ campsite now that his abilities had improved drastically. However, before he left, Yang Ling was prepared to kill a few people to serve as a warning to the others, teaching the wanderers with errant thoughts a lesson so that they would not insolently follow behind them!

Advancing to become a High-level Deity?

Hearing Yang Ling say this, the worried Chief Elven Priest only now noticed that the ripples of energy coming from within Yang Ling’s body had become even richer. She could not infiltrate Yang Ling’s body with her Divine Knowledge to have a closer examination and became incredibly shocked after her surprise.

An average person would not be able to break through the bottleneck in a thousand years, ten thousand years, or even several hundreds of thousands of years. To think that Yang Ling was able to advance from a mere Domain Expert to a powerful High-level Deity within such a short time. It was simply unbelievable!

“Yang Ling, do you really have a Core Divine Weapon that allows one to advance in levels at a rapid rate?” Sensing the ripples of energy coming from within Yang Ling’s body, Gerald smiled bitterly as he shook his head.

Comparison was the thief of joy!

Over the millennia, he had been unable to advance from a Mid-level Deity to a High-level Deity no matter how hard he tried. To think that the once mediocre Yang Ling had left him in the dust in the blink of an eye! He could not think of any reasonable explanation other than the fact that Yang Ling had a top-notch Core Divine Weapon that aided him in his training.

“Hehe, I don’t have a Core Divine Weapon that could allow one to advance at a rapid rate, but if you need them, I can help you create a few!” Yang Ling smiled. Both the God of Swords and Chief Elven Priest were the pillars of mental support for their family or tribe. Creating a ring like the Magical Divine Ring for them might help them absorb the Wish Power of their respective tribespeople and hasten the speed of their training.

“Brother Yang Ling, if you are indeed able to create a Core Divine Weapon like that, I think that even the Abyssal Demon Leader would not be a match for you. When that time comes, we would have to call you a Core Deity!” Richardson laughed nonchalantly, leaving quickly with his heavy sword. He instructed his teammates to set up an ambush around Yang Ling’s tent, prepared to defend the area for the last night.
