The Magical Beast Army was led by the great commander, the Corpse Wizard King, and it had the whole Wizard Pagoda’s dimension on their side. The Army received great support, and it quickly made preparations for the battle. Meanwhile, in the distant Giant Dragon Castle, tens thousand miles away, the Giant Dragon Domain’s upper echelon had assembled, and they all wore big smiles across their faces.

“Hehe, the enemy dispatched Flying Magical Beasts at us once again, along with a large number of flyers. They said something like “the Magical Beast Divine Branch’s Divine Lord will shortly descend,” and they ordered us to convert to the Wizard God Religion as soon as possible.” A noble-like big-bellied middle-aged man held a paper and flicked it disdainfully. “They can’t even defeat our Giant Dragon Domain in a whole month, yet they still state that they will occupy the whole Giant Dragon Mountain Range in 3 days. They really are a group of demented lunatics.”

For the past month, the Corpse Wizard King hadn’t just been annexing the territory and resources of the Giant Dragon Domain slowly; he had also frequently dispatched several Twin-legged Flying Dragons to throw a large number of flyers from a high altitude. They employed psychological attacks, and the common people descended repeatedly into panic as a result.

In the beginning, the Giant Dragon Domain’s officers and ordinary folks were all nervous, and they assumed that a great Divine Branch really had arrived into the Giant Dragon Mountain Range. But as time elapsed, they discovered that the enemy wasn’t as strong as they’d imagined. The enemy managed to annex many territories, but they still couldn’t defeat the Giant Dragon Domain, even in a month. They were much weaker than the ferocious enemies that had appeared throughout their history, and this was why the people relaxed.

“It’s just 3 days, and even if the enemy’s power was ten times higher than it is, they still wouldn’t manage to attack our Giant Dragon Castle, let alone the hundred domains in the whole Giant Dragon Mountain Range.” A bearded man released a ball of flame that burned to ashes the flyer in his hand. “Lord, according to our observations over the past month, the Magical Beast Divine Branch’s title is only claimed by them, and they don’t have a Divine Lord or Divine Duty Experts. They also don’t have anyone with an apex High-Level Deity’s power. Let’s fight; it’s time to dispatch a large army and exterminate them thoroughly.”

The Magical Beast Army, commanded by the Corpse Wizard King, had annexed many territories and resources, but it had only used a little team each time, and they won only narrow victories. They even feigned that they weren’t a match for the enemy, as they wanted to give a false impression to the prudent Giant Dragon Lord. If the enemy was really powerful, the bearded officer would stay close to the Giant Dragon Castle, which had a strict defense. But it was just a group of weak people that ran amok in their domain, and he couldn’t bear that any longer.

“That is right. Lord, let’s fight!”

“Didn’t the enemy call itself the Magical Beast Divine Branch? Then let’s capture all of their Magical Beasts and take out their Godheads, as well as skin them for their hides.”

....

The Giant Dragon Domain’s officers bore this for a whole month, then they all asked to go to battle. They swore that they would thoroughly destroy the Magical Beast Divine Branch that ran amok in their domain. They wished badly to chop up the arrogant Magical Beasts and turn them into mincemeat.

“Humph, if you were really so skilled, you would infiltrate the enemy camp in the Black Crystal Mine before talking about anything else.” The lofty Giant Dragon Lord looked at the officers who’d asked to go fight and snorted coldly. He swept the crowd with his gaze and said slowly, “This Magical Beast Divine Branch is outstanding, and if I’m not wrong, their real power isn’t limited to what is shown on the surface.”

The enemy couldn’t launch an attack on the Giant Dragon Castle, even after a month, though they repeatedly defeated the troops that attacked them. Upon seeing this, many officers underestimated the Magical Beast Army’s power. But the prudent Giant Dragon Lord had a keen eye for details, and he detected instinctively that this matter wasn’t as simple as it seemed.

For the past month, the Magical Beast Army hadn’t attacked the Giant Dragon Castle, but any elites who infiltrated the enemy camp disappeared completely–none had escaped. This fact demonstrated clearly that the enemy either wasn’t using their whole power or they were protected by a top-notch expert. It wasn’t wise to belittle their power!

“Lord, send troops. Even if a powerful expert provided support to the enemies, a single person still wouldn’t be a match for our great army with tens of thousand troops.”

“That’s right. Lord, let’s dispatch the Dragon Cavalry. The enemy surely won’t be a match for our elite Dragon Cavalry, unless they have a High-Level Divine Duty Expert holding the lines.”

...

The officers continued asking for permission to fight. The Dragon Cavalry was the Giant Dragon Domain’s pride, and it was formed wholly of High-Level Deity Experts and High-Level Giant Dragons. The longer the officers thought about it, the more confident they became that they would surely get the victory.

“We didn’t infiltrate the enemy’s camp, and we aren’t aware of their real power. This is why we must still continue defending the Giant Dragon Castle, and no one is allowed to go to the battle without permission.” The Giant Dragon Lord, dressed in black battle armor, was very cautious, and he issued orders to restrain a few restless officers. He warned them repeatedly before he strode away with his personal guards.

They took a risk-averse approach!

The Giant Dragon Castle had stuck to defense, weathered an unknown number of crises, and even suffered an all-out attack by some small Divine Branches. But it depended upon its Dragon Cavalry and the Giant Dragon Castle’s defense to get through those crises, forcing the enemy to withdraw soldiers. The Giant Dragon Domain’s offensive power wasn’t the highest among the numerous domains in the Giant Dragon Mountain Range, but its defensive power was a different matter. Everyone in the Giant Dragon Castle had full confidence in the castle’s defensive power, and as was the Giant Dragon Lord. They were completely unaware that a disaster was closing in on them.

The Giant Dragon Castle was far away from the fire of war, and it passed peaceful days as usual. On an ordinary night, in the last hours before dawn, the night was very dark, and there wasn’t any light on the horizon. There was also a thick layer of clouds in the sky, and the moonlight turned hazy. The cold wind blew, and the ordinary folks who worked long, exhausting days had descended into sleep long ago. The nobles, used to night life’s activities, hugged the women next to them and entered slumberland, too. Even the number of soldiers patrolling the castle’s walls was much lower than usual.

“Becker, how was the taste of last night’s beauty?” A soldier lowered his head and drank a big mouthful of vodka of inferior quality. He thought about the previous night’s sensuous companion, and a lecherous smile spread across his face.

“Hehe, it was awesome. Chris, I have to say that even if it cost 100 Black Crystals instead of 10, it would still have been worth it.” The soldier Becker laughed and pondered his experience. “It’s a pity that we will be on duty for the next few days. Even if we have money, we won’t have time to go see those pretty women and have fun. Damn this weather, and damn that Magical Beast Divine Branch. I really wonder where that group of hateful Magical Beasts came from...”

“That’s right, the nobles are living as before, and they all get to enjoy leisure. But soldiers like us have to stay here in the middle of the night, and we still have to bear this cold wind.” Chris drank another mouthful of strong alcohol and handed over the bottle to Becker, allowing him to drink several mouthfuls. Soon after, Chris said, “But I have heard that the Magical Beast Divine Branch has many beauties prettier than angels. I wonder if that’s true? If we can find several pretty female captives after the battle, we will get to satisfy ourselves, and we will regain everything we lost, plus interest.”

“That’s right, if...” Becker took a sip of the vodka and fantasized about sleeping with those mesmerizing, angelic beauties. At this moment, he raised his head inadvertently and spotted a large Dark Dragon atop a tree nearby. He rubbed his eyes and examined the area carefully, but he didn’t find anything, as if the dragon had been a figment of his imagination.

“Chris, did you see a large Dark Dragon?” Becker rubbed his eyes in confusion once again.

“There isn’t a Dark Dragon, but there is a dark pearl,” the drowsy-eyed Chris said with a chuckle. “I have seen her once again last night, a dark pearl with a big, firm butt. I saw her wearing semi-transparent muslin and laying on the bed. She opened her long, soft legs to us.”

“Hehe, you should be careful; she might strangle you.” Becker chuckled and opened his large mouth, which was filled with yellow teeth. Suddenly, his body suddenly shivered before he could drink another mouthful of the liquor, and he felt intense pain from the middle of his back. A sharp dagger penetrated his back and came out of his chest. With great effort, Becker turned his head around to take a look. He discovered that a black-cloaked person had appeared suddenly behind him. The wound was both painful and numb, and it seemed like dreadful poison had been smeared on the weapon. The Magical Power inside his body disappeared quickly, and his consciousness turned muddled. He fell on the ground motionless and died with open eyes.

An assassin?

Upon seeing the black-clothed man that had killed Becker in an instant, Chris’s body shivered, and he subconsciously raised the horn hung around his neck. However, the black-clothed man flew forward like a ghost and slit Chris’s throat before he could blow the horn to warn others. As Chris’s body fell, he saw a ferocious Dark Dragon, not just a single one, but a large group that covered both the sky and land alike.

An enemy attack, a large-scale enemy attack!

Chris, still retaining the last bit of his consciousness fell, on the ground with a rumble, and then he too died with his eyes wide open, just like Becker beside him.

“Mr. Rodriguez, we have eliminated the targets, and we can promptly take our next action.” The Shadow Wizard Winnink, clad in his Phantom Cloak, didn’t utter another word before he disappeared into the dense forest with several leaps. He quietly returned to the Corpse Wizard King, Rodriguez. They were facing sentinels with God-Level power, and the Horned Bee Beasts, Vampire Bats, and other Low-Level Magical Beasts were no longer suitable for sneak-attack missions. But this task wasn’t difficult for Winnink, and he swiftly eliminated several crucial hidden sentinels.

“Good, notify the Horned Dragon King, and let’s follow the original plan. Order his Strategic Biochemical Explosion Corps to carry out action promptly.” The Corpse Wizard King issued orders in a deep voice. He discerned that Yang Ling, who sat cross-legged on the ground, didn’t have any instructions for him, and he also recognized what should be done. This was why he ordered them to attack. A large group of Horned Dragons quickly appeared at a high altitude. They were led by the Horned Dragon King, and they swiftly flew in from the horizon.

Roar!

The Horned Dragon King roared and threw a black Poison Gas Grenade ahead of the others. The grenade fell with a rumble atop the castle wall, and it destroyed the heavy castle gate. A strong odor also spread with the wind, quickly enveloping a perimeter of several hundred feet before it entered the bodies of the Giant Dragon Domain’s soldiers through their pores.

1, 2...

The Horned Dragons, protected by a team of Twin-legged Flying Dragons, fearlessly flew at a low-altitude, attacking to their hearts’ content. Many Poison Gas Grenades, each weighing half a ton, fell from the sky. The dragons followed the battle map, and they accurately hit the castle’s gate, the military camp, the Castle Lord Manor, and other strategic targets. In a short time, the Giant Dragon Castle had descended into great chaos.
