Chapter 463
Chapter 463
463 Holding Back
His expression turned darker.
Zhang Yi Hai could not understand just why did he always run into this person each time he was on a date with his girlfriend.
It made him wonder if this classmate was following him around.
Suddenly, Zhang Yi Hai recalled that Ji Xin Xin had once praised his girlfriend’s painting.
Although he still think that it was annoying for this person to always appear in front of him, Zhang Yi Hai would not stop it if Ji Xin Xin wanted to speak to his girlfriend.
In his opinion, Fang Su Jin’s paintings were beautiful and deserved to be praised. Since Ji Xin Xin was a fan of his girlfriend, he should not stop her from praising his girlfriend.
Anyway, he was not planning to engage in a conversation with Ji Xin Xin.
The last time his girlfriend saw him talking to this classmate, Zhang Yi Hai had to face Fang Su Jin’s cold attitude. It was a terrible feeling.
Zhang Yi Hai did not like to see his girlfriend getting angry or sad because of unrelated people.
.....
Meanwhile, Fang Su Jin was looking at Ji Xin Xin with a trace of unhappiness in her eyes. She knew Ji Xin Xin’s feelings toward her boyfriend and was uncomfortable seeing the way she has been staring at him.
Fang Su Jin forced a smile. “Hello.”
Ji Xin Xin glanced at Zhang Yi Hai with a bitter smile on her face. She could tell that the boy that she admired for years had been ignoring her recently. Ji Xin Xin seemed to remember that it all started on the day she came to chat with him.
After pondering about it for a while, Ji Xin Xin could only think that Zhang Yi Hai was unhappy because she had tried to pry into his private matters.
Her gaze shifted to Fang Su Jin again. “Sister, are you here because of the exhibition again?”
Ji Xin Xin figured that the only way she could get close to Zhang Yi Hai was by getting closer to Fang Su Jin. It seemed that Zhang Yi Hai’s relationship with this sister was quite good.
“Well, I have a few business matters in Capital City,” Fang Su Jin said.
“So, it was like that.” Ji Xin Xin’s eyes lit up again. “Sister, it was a rare chance for us to meet again. What do you think about going out for a drink? I want to ask a few things about your paintings.”
Fang Su Jin looked at the smiling girl in front of her and could guess what she had in mind. The corner of her lips turned up into an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry. But, it is not convenient. I still have a few important matters to attend to.”
Gradually, the smile on Ji Xin Xin’s face began to fade.
Fang Su Jin turned to her boyfriend again and spoke, “Zhang Yi Hai, we should go now.” She glanced at Ji Xin Xin again and spoke, “I’m sorry.” Then, Fang Su Jin turned around and left the restaurant, leaving her boyfriend to catch up with her.
Fortunately, it took Zhang Yi Hai a few steps to match Fang Su Jin’s pace again.
Knowing that someone was staring at them, Zhang Yi Hai did not dare to hold his girlfriend’s hand on the street.
Zhang Yi Hai’s mood dampened.
He thought that the two of them could have a date openly while they were away from Y City. Who would have thought that they still need to be very careful?
The two of them walked side by side until they reached to Zhang Yi Hai’s apartment building. It was only when they were in the elevator that Zhang Yi Hai finally mustered the courage to hold his girlfriend’s hand.
Seeing the look on Zhang Yi Hai’s face made Fang Su Jin laugh.
Hearing the sound of laughter, Zhang Yi Hai looked up again unhappily. He raised both his hands and pinched his girlfriend’s face. “You still laugh.”
Fang Su Jin looked at her boyfriend with an aggrieved look on her face. “I was wrong.” Her words were a little strange because Zhang Yi Hai continued to pinch her cheek.
The elevator stopped with a ding. It was only then that Zhang Yi Hai finally released his girlfriend’s cheek from his hand.
As they arrived at his door, Fang Su Jin waited for Zhang Yi Hai to unlock the door. However, she then noticed that her boyfriend was standing behind her with his arms crossed over his chest.
“What are you doing?” Fang Su Jin asked. “Are we going to stand here forever?”
“Last time, we already recorded your prints. Su Jin, why don’t you try to unlock the door?”
It was then that Fang Su Jin recalled that Zhang Yi Hai had indeed recorded her fingerprints during her first visit to his apartment.
Her eyes narrowed as she stared at him suspiciously. Then, Fang Su Jin placed her finger down and heard the door beep.
The corner of her lips tilted up upon seeing that the door was unlocked.
Before she could say a word, Zhang Yi Hai had already hugged her from behind and rested his chin on her shoulder.
“Next time, you can come over whenever you want,” Zhang Yi Hai said. He turned his head slightly and kissed her cheek.
Without waiting for her to react, Zhang Yi Hai already pulled her into his apartment.
He kicked the door shut and turned around without a warning.
In just seconds, Fang Su Jin found that her back was pressed against the door and her boyfriend was staring at her with such intensity. It made her shy, but Fang Su Jin realized that she could not look away.
“Su Jin, I don’t expect that going on a date in Capital City would be hard as well.”
Fang Su Jin wanted to laugh, but then, she remembered Zhang Yi Hai’s habit to pinch her cheek whenever she laughed.
However, Zhang Yi Hai was really cute like this.
After pondering over it for a while, Fang Su Jin wrapped her arms around his neck and stood on tiptoed. Then, she kissed his lips briefly. “You did a great job holding back.” A teasing smile appeared on her lips as she pulled away.
Zhang Yi Hai looked at his girlfriend unhappily. “Do you think that a peck on the lips would be enough?”
Her heart was beating rapidly. “Then... what do you want?”
His eyes were watching her as if he was eying his prey. Sensing that his girlfriend was anxious, Zhang Yi Hai leaned over and caught her lips in a deep kiss.
