Chapter 663 - 663 Stolen Wallet
663 Stolen Wallet
After that time, Fu Chen never brought up the matter of basketball with her again.
Bai Xi Xi was a little curious about this change, but since she thought that talking to Fu Chen would attract the girls’ dissatisfied look, Bai Xi Xi decided not to think about this matter that much.
During the lunch break, Bai Xi Xi went to the cafeteria with her group of friends and sat together.
The cafeteria’s sweet and sour ribs were quite popular. Because of it, there was quite a long line in the cafeteria today.
Bai Xi Xi ate her meal while listening to her friends discuss the upcoming test. Recently, it felt as if the school loved to give them a test.
It has not been a long time since their last test, but their teachers were already reminding them to study for the next one.
However, this situation was also understandable. After all, everyone was going to take the university test soon. Therefore, their school was only helping them to prepare for their admission.
While they were still eating, Yan Li appeared to tell Bai Xi Xi that their homeroom teacher was looking for them. It was then that Bai Xi Xi recalled that their teacher had asked her to pass some form.
She excused herself from her friends and decided to return to the class earlier.
.....
Just as she was about to enter the classroom, Bai Xi Xi could not help but notice that there was someone standing around her seat.
She chose to hide behind the door and looked at what that person was up to.
Her eyes narrowed as she watched Jian Chi look around the classroom. Then, he slid his hand into his pocket before placing it into Fu Chen’s bag.
Jian Chi scanned his surroundings again. Thinking that no one had seen what he had done, Jian Chi turned to the door.
Seeing that the boy was about to leave, Bai Xi Xi hid behind the wall and waited until Jian Chi was no longer around. She waited for a couple of minutes before walking into the classroom.
Fortunately, Jian Chi was no longer around.
As she reached her seat, Bai Xi Xi rummaged through her bag and took out the form that their homeroom teacher had asked for. Just as she was about to leave, Bai Xi XI paused to look at Fu Chen’s bag.
She could not help but be curious to know what was Jian Chi up to.
Her gaze fell on the brown, leather wallet inside Fu Chen’s bag.
Suddenly, Bai Xi Xi seemed to recall that she had seen their classmate, Fan Yuan holding this wallet in his hand earlier.
Just now, Fan Yuan was showing up to his friend a photo of his girlfriend that he had kept in his wallet. Fan Yuan’s wallet was a little easy to recognize with its gold lining and logo.
But, was it really Fan Yuan’s wallet? If it was, then, why did Jian Chi place it inside Fu Chen’s bag?
Bai Xi Xi scanned her surroundings before taking the wallet out of Fu Chen’s bag. Her lips pursed into a thin line upon recognizing that it was the same wallet that Fan Yuan had in his hand earlier.
Her instinct was telling her that Jian Chi was up to no good again.
Last time, he bullied Fu Chen in that basketball match. What was he up to again this time?
Seeing that there was no one else around, Bai Xi Xi held the wallet in her hand and stopped at Jian Chi’s seat. She slid the wallet into the man’s drawer casually before walking out of the classroom to look for their homeroom teacher.
...
The discussion with the homeroom teacher lasted longer than she had expected.
Bai Xi Xi returned to the classroom while helping Teacher Shen to carry some teaching materials.
When they both entered the classroom, they both noticed that the classroom was a little noisy. Everyone was paying attention to Fan Yuan who stood in the middle of the class.
Only a handful of students had noticed Teacher Shen’s presence.
Seeing that the class was too chaotic, Teacher Shen walked over to the front and slapped the tale with her palm hard. The sound was so loud that it made everyone stop and turned to look at her in horror.
Bai Xi Xi glanced at Teacher Shen’s hand, wondering if Teacher Shen did not feel any pain.
She lowered her gaze and wondered if this was about the wallet that she had found in Fu Chen’s bag earlier.
“What are you doing? This is your final year. You were all supposed to be studying and preparing for your test!” Teacher Shen roared. She swept her gaze across the classroom and finally stopped at Fan Yuan who was in the middle of the class. Seeing that everyone was surrounding him, Teacher Shen guessed that he should be the one who stirred this problem. Then, her gaze shifted to Jian Chi who stood beside Fan Yuan. “Jian Chi, why don’t you tell me what happened?”
Bai Xi Xi glanced at Jian Chi and thought that she could see the faint smile on the boy’s face.
Jian Chi hesitated for a brief second before speaking, “Teacher Shen, Fan Yuan’s wallet is missing.”
“Your wallet is missing, but why are you making a lot of noise?” Teacher Shen turned to Fan Yuan.
Fan Yuan looked at the mathematics teacher with an aggrieved look on his face. “Teacher Shen, I left my wallet in the class. But when I return to the class after the break, my wallet was no longer in my bag.”
“Could it be that you have misplaced it?” Teacher Shen spoke.
“Teacher Shen, I checked it a few times. It’s not there,” Fan Yuan said. He recalled the amount of money in his wallet and felt a heartache.
Recently, he had saved quite a lot of money to buy the shoes of his dream. He planned to go and buy them after school. But, Fan Yuan did not expect that his wallet would suddenly disappear.
Fan Yuan inhaled a deep breath and spoke, “Teacher Shen, I suspect that someone in this class had stolen my wallet.”
