Chapter 195: A born Genius Jade Saint 1

Ever walked out of the washroom and saw Jayden in the hall. They looked at each other and she walked towards the door and heard him ask.

''Why did you break up with me that year?''

Ever stopped just right at his side. Her body stiffened at his question. She stood rooted for a moment calming herself.

''I got bored… with you'' Ever said, not turning to look at him.

''What… did you just say?'' Jayden asked and sighed sarcastically finding himself pitiful for still hoping for any form of redemption from her.

''Can I go now?'' Ever as and took a step to go and her hand was held back. She flung the hand that held her away and walked out leaving Jayden.

Jayden looked at his hand and clutched his fists.

Outside, Ever went back to her seat and sat down. she removed her shades and put it on, covering her red stained eyes and relaxed on the seat with her eyes closed.

Jayden went back to the griller spot and took over from his father. The night passed by quickly and quietly.

Jade walked into Mai cosmetics and commanded a lot of attention with her one long sleeve and one short sleeve pink chevron blouse and black miniskirt, paired with her small black purse and heels. She waved at the workers at the reception and went to the counter. She removed her blade shaped shades and leaned against the counter. She smiled and raised her brows coquettishly at the two receptionist at the counter saying.

''You know who I am, right?''

''Yes, Miss'' the female receptionist said shyly and Jade smiled. She turned and saw the delivery boy coming inside and waved at him.

''Over here'' she said. The delivery boy had a three bags of macaroni boxes as he walked to Jade.

''Here is your delivery, Miss. Miss Ever said you should give her a call when you receive them'' the delivery boy who was a worker at Saint Hotel said.

''Really? I will call her. here, for your hard work'' Jade removed a 50-dollar bill and gave to him and he smiled.

''Thank you Miss'' the delivery boy took the money and went back. Jade placed the bags on the counter and said to the receptionist.

''Here, I brought this for all of you. make sure everyone gets some. There is enough for everyone''

''Miss, thank you'' the female receptionist said while the male receptionist was eye struck looking at Jade's flawless face.

Jade smiled at them and walked inside. She arrived and saw the elevator closing and shouted ''stop, stop, stop'' the man inside stopped the elevator and she got in.

Jade tugged her hair behind her left ear and turned to look at the man who stopped the elevator. She saw the man and removed her shades to look at him well, her lips curved into a smile as she remembered who he is.

Alex who was been stared at felt uncomfortable and turned to ask her 'is there something you need help with?''

''You remember me, right?'' Jade asked as she took a step closer to him.

''No, I don't'' Alex answered and stepped back. Jade took another stepped closer and trapped him at a corner. With her hands at both sides and she smiled and leaned closer to him.

''I doubt you are telling the truth. We met three years ago at club O2Z. Your girlfriend was making out with your friend and you caught them. in order to get back at them, you pulled me suddenly and kissed me in front of them. I still can't forget that day because that was my first kiss. Tell me, how could you steal a girl's first kiss and ran away afterwards? Are you a male Cinderella?''

Alex coughed flustered as he looked at her. So it turned out she was that girl. That was also his first kiss. Though he had been with his girlfriend back then for 4 months, he was yet to get intimate with him. After seeing her making out with his friend, he got so angry that he just pulled the girl at the counter that time and kissed her. he had regretted doing that to the innocent girl and had gone back to the club the following day to apologise but he didn't find her. what were the odds that they actually met here and she even recognised him?

''I don't know what you are talking about. Miss, this is inappropriate. Can you move back a little?'' Alex said to Jade and she smiled but instead of moving back, she leaned even closer and whispered into her ears.

''Looking at you flushed face, I can tell you remember that night very well. Tell me, how should I make you pay for stealing my first kiss from me. How old are you?'' she suddenly asked.

''Why are you asking for my age?'' Alex asked back.

''I need to know your age to be able to determine whether it was harassment or attempted rape'' Jade said and the elevator stopped. It opened and two ladies stood at the door with wide eyes after seeing them.

''Take the next one'' Jade said to them and the ladies nodded their heads. Jade looked at the nametag on the lab coat he wore and mentioned his name 'Alex Black. Interesting name''

''Miss''

''Jade. Call me Jade. That is my name, Jade Saint'' Jade said to him and stepped back. She stood beside him as the elevator went up.

''Miss Jade, I really don't know what you are talking about. I think you got the wrong person'' Alex said to her.josei

''Keep pretending then. You know who I am right? I'm the daughter of your professor. Let's see how she will take it when I tell her you were the man that took my first kiss away three years ago'' Jade said and Alex turned to her.

''What do you want?'' he asked.

''The truth. Why did you do that to me that night? I still feel as though I have been cheated on since that night'' Jade said pretending to be hurt.

''I'm really sorry about that night. I went back the following day to look for you but I didn't see you again'' Alex said sincerely.

''Don't worry, I forgive you. so, do you have a girlfriend now?''

''Yes, I do. she is different from that one who cheated on me''

''I see; I hope she doesn't also cheat on you. because I hate seeing handsome men get cheated on'' Jade said and walked out of the elevator just as her phone buzzed. She removed it and answered the call as she went towards her mother's office.

''Hello, Everest''

''Jade, can you inform me a little earlier when you want macaroni next time? Thanks to your late request, I have to work extra time tonight''

''Sorry, love. I didn't mean to overwork you. how about this, I will buy you a present. I didn't bring you anything from abroad. I will take you shopping tomorrow''

''I have work tomorrow. Let's make it the day after tomorrow. That is my off day'' Ever said over the phone as she opened the oven to remove the cupcakes she had made.

''Deal, let's talk later. I have something to talk to my mom about'' Jade said and hung up. she opened the door and saw her mother looking at two perfume bottles.

''Mom, hi''

''Hello, love. You are here already?'' August Maijune said to Jade.

''Yes, what are you doing with that?'' Jade asked, pointing at the two perfume bottles.

''This is a new fragrance my student developed over the weekend. I want to smell them and see which one is better. I want to launch it for him''

''Let me do it'' Jade took the bottles from August Maijune and sprayed the first one, just a little amount into her wrist ''this smells like freshly blended cherry tomatoes. Mom, this is a unique scent that is mostly found in babies born during mid-December where there is cold and mist everywhere. The feeling it gives is usually indescribable yet addictive''

Alex who was about to go into the office heard Jade's explanation and paused at the door, through the slightly opened space, he watched her keenly.

''As expected of my daughter. Now, what about the other one?'' August Maijune asked curiously.

''Let me see…'' Jade sprayed the other one and smelt it. her lips curved into a smile as she closed her eyes. ''Mom, was this perfume made from extracts of dry persimmons plus late autumn peels of pineapple? This is it. Mom, a lot of girls will like this fragrance. If your marketing team is able to draw a good and workable marketing plan, this perfume will do well. Whoever made this perfume is surely a passionate lover'' Jade said and turned to look at her mother who was sitting on the couch in the office.

''Did you hear that, Alex. My daughter said you are a passionate lover'' August Maijune said and looked towards the door. Alex walked in and closed the door.

''You are the one who made this perfume?'' Jade asked as she sat beside August Maijune.

''Yes, Miss'' Alex replied politely.

''Alex, you haven't met Jade before right? This troublesome girl here is my daughter. She studied Marketing Dynamics and interior décor at the University. She just came back after finishing her last semester'' August Maijune did the introduction.
