Standing in their respectful positions behind their tables, each chef had the same kitchen tools and equipment they needed per what they were making. Everything they were using was provided by the acquisition department and were new.

The children who had come to watch were already excited seeing the chefs in front of them. Their homeroom teachers controlled them so they couldn't misbehave or disrupt the tense atmosphere.

As they were about to start, the MC of the program came forward to speak and introduce the Manager of the hotel.

''Kids, are you happy to be here today?''

''We are happy'' the children screamed after the MC asked.

''Since you are happy to be here, the CEO of Saint Hotels, who is also the branch manager in this hotel has a gift for everyone. As you have seen, we have our chefs out here today and they are going to prepare mouth-watering deserts for everyone. Are you happy?''

''Now, this is going to be a simple contest where you get to decide who the winner is. The chefs are going to do their best, so you also have to be honest with your reviews and scores, okay?''

''A car and a house? When did the CEO make this decision?'' one of the chefs asked rhetorically.

''The more I get to know this CEO, the more I love him. A house and a car, that is a dream come true for everyone'' another said.

''Then, it means no one is going to leave even if they lost?'' Benita found it ridiculous, her words were directed at Ever who was just by her side.

''Ever, good luck'' Mr. Hugh and pointed at the door saying, ''you can't lose when all these people are here to watch you win''

Ever turned and saw her parents, her aunts and uncles, even Alice was there with them including all the children of their three big families. They smiled and waved at her and she ran towards them.

''Who are those people?'' Benita asked.

''The two couple Ever just hugged are her parents and those are her aunts, uncles and cousins'' Mr, Hugh said proudly and looked at Benita whose face turned ghastly.

''That's Mr. Aaron Saint and the popular Professor, August Maijune. They are all related to Ever?'' she subconsciously took a step backwards and almost tripped when one of the male chefs helped her saying.

''You should have been nicer to her. All she ever wanted was a quiet life but you just kept getting in her way. You really made her life hard. Ever has a rather strong mental endurance capacity''

''Leave me alone'' she flung the chef's hand away, ''she is a hypocrite. She purposefully kept this away from me just so she could mess with me. This must be the reason why she never did anything no matter how I treated her. She was waiting for a day like this to get back at me''

''It is just a small contest. You all are here, where would I put my head if I fail the contest?''

''Honey, you are the best at what you do. We believe in you. Even if you fail, it is still okay. You are always the best to us''josei

''Mom, I love you'' Ever hugged her mother again.

''Is it only your mother you love? What about dad?''

''You are too grown for that'' Aaron Saint said and turned to Ever, ''Ever, you must win the house and the car. I specifically agreed to it because Jay said you were participating''

''Tsk, what a greedy man'' Leo Martins said and they laughed.

''Thank you all for coming. This means a lot to me. Aunt Mai, aunt Liyah, aunt Alice, you left your busy jobs to come and watch me. I am so happy'' Ever's eyes teared up and the three women gave her a group hug.

''Brave yes, you, no'' Ever said and hurried off to her table.

Ever went back to her table and noticed that both Ignatius and Benita were looking at her. She ignored them and concentrated on what she was going to make. Everything Papa Jones taught her were in her mind and since she had taken part in making them, it shouldn't be that hard, right? She tried to calm herself down. She has already decided that when she wins, she would gift the house and the car to the older couple so that Chichi would move to the city and have quality education here.

''You are really a dangerous woman. Were you intentionally messing with me? If you have such a powerful family, why did you come here to work? This kind of lowly work is for we those who are poor'' Benita said sarcastically and Ever smiled.
