''Kristine, I finally found you'' a voice sounded in front of them and Kristine looked up and saw Ray.

''Ray, what are you doing here?''

Instead of answering her question, Ray immediately pulled her into a tight hug and Kristine felt suffocated. She tried to push him away but he wouldn't budge.

''I came here several times but I didn't meet you'' he said after releasing her but Kristine slapped him shocking him and Ronald who was by her side.

''Did you come to look for me after getting drunk?'' that was the first thing she felt when he hugged her. He reeked off alcohol.

''Kristine, listen to me. I admit, I was an a**. I messed up but you have to forgive me this last. I promise to not act like that again. I can't live without you, Kris''

''Ray, leave this place immediately. I don't want people to start gathering around here'' Kristine said to her and sighed.

''Who is this man?'' Ray asked looking at Ronald, ''did you find yourself a man? Were you cheating on me, Kris?''

''What? How dare you say that to my face after what you did to me?''

''I didn't mean it, Kris. I don't know what came over me. I will be a better man; I promise''

''It's good that you want to be a better man, but I am done with you. You were the first to break our wedding off. You did a lot of things wrong but I forgave you each time, but I am done, Ray. I am actually thankful that you broke things off with me''

''Kris''

''This is my boyfriend'' she suddenly pulled Ronald closer to herself after saying that.

''Your boyfriend?''

''Boyfriend?'' Ronald also turned to look at Kristine as he murmured but soon as he did, he smiled seeing her determined face. Instead of letting her take charge, he took her hand into his and looked at Ray saying, ''that's right. She is my woman.

''Are you even listening to yourself, Kris? We were about to get married and I was just burned out and needed space a little but what? You already moved on and even got a boyfriend?'' Ray felt like hitting someone. He admits he was a little harsh that day but she had always waited for him no matter how long he took. She always took him back in the end. Didn't that mean she loved him more than anything else?

''I told you I was done waiting for you to get your act together. He is someone I don't have to walk on eggshells around and he only has me in his heart'' Kristine looked at Ronald as she asked, ''isn't that right?'' She couldn't mention his name because she couldn't remember it even though he mentioned it to her last night.

''He will only love you? That's what every man would say, Kris. Don't fall for his bullshit. He will soon also get bored from not getting anything after a while. Do you think every man is patient like me?''

''What?''

''Let's be honest, Kris. Did you ever really love me? I am Ray. A lot of women give themselves to me without me having to say a word, but anytime I want to get intimate with you, you start giving me some vows bullshit''

Kristine slapped him again, her hand shaking as she spoke, ''you, animal. How didn't I know you were this kind of person and wasted three years of my life with you? But do you want to hear something? I don't intend to make him wait that long for me. You taught me such a valuable lesson, I shouldn't let it go without actually learning anything from it, right?''

''What do you mean?'' Ray looked between them suspiciously.

''Exactly what you are thinking. I plan to let him have what I didn't give you. I already have plans to meet with him later after work. You just got me excited Ray. That is why you shouldn't provoke a woman who once loved you. Haven't you heard, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned''

''You don't mean that, do you? You are just saying this to spite me but I know you will be back begging me to take you back when he leaves you after getting what he wants''

''Who said I was going to leave her?'' Ronald asked looking at Ray, ''she isn't an object that I can discard at will so what makes you think I am going to leave her? What if I am serious about her?''

''What?'' Ray tussled his hair and was about to say something else when his manager arrived. He was a well-built man who was about 6ft tall.

''Ray, let's go'' he said in a voice that clearly meant there was no chance for obedience. He looked at Kristine and nodded his head.

''This isn't the end, Kris. Do you think you can get rid of me just like that with this fake? Don't even dream about it'' he said and walked away with his manager.

Kristine sighed and wrapped her hands around her face, signs of exhaustion clearly on her face.

''Are you alright?'' Ronald asked and she looked at him.

''Do you want to sleep with me?''

''What?'' Ronald was shocked by her question.

''If you want to sleep with me, I will agree''

''I think you are mistaken about something. I am not interested in you because I want to sleep with you. I am simply curious about you and the kind of decision you took with your friends, why you are going through such extremes to get a boyfriend. But, I am not doing that because I want to sleep with you''

''Huh?''

''You must think every man that approaches you from now onwards wants that because of your experience with your ex but can you not see me as such a cheap man? I didn't approach you because I wanted to sleep with you. I guess I was mistaken about you, you can consider this the last time we are seeing each other, Kristine'' Ronald finished and started to walk away. Kristine sighed and went after him.

''Wait!!!''

Ronald turned to look at her.

''I… I'm sorry. I was in the wrong'' Kristine said in a choked voice and he stepped closer to her.josei

''What are you sorry for?''

''I'm sorry for thinking of you that way. Listen, I admit, I am not in the best of moods or mind right now, but I am definitely not someone who thinks that way about men and I am not one to allow my experience get the best of me''

''Prove it then'' he said to her and could see she was confused.

''Prove what? what do I have to prove?''

''That you are not that kind of person''

''Fine, 20:45PM, same hotel tonight, but it is not a date'' Kristine said and scratched head as if she wasn't sure of herself.

''Dinner is on me and it is definitely not a date'' Ronald chuckled and went away to his car.

Kristine sighed and asked herself, ''why do I feel I have been tricked by that man? I feel scammed'' she continued to murmur to herself as she went back to the restaurant. when she entered, the crowd was no longer that much, so she went to take over from Jenny.

''How did it go?''

''It went well; I guess'' Kristine was unsure of herself.

''You guess? What kind of answer is that?'' Jenny still stayed to help take the orders of the few people left as they chatted.

''Lot happened, and I mean a lot. Let's talk about it at home''

''Okay'' Jenny nodded her head.

''And I got him to go out with me tonight''

''You little fox. You managed to get him to go on a date with you so fast?''

''It is not a date. Just a meet-up'' Kristine nudged Jenny and they smiled.

''Really?''

The girls all had different reactions when Kristine narrated her time with Ronald to them.

''This is definitely a fated meeting. Who would have thought he turned out to be the doctor who saved you? Kristine, I would totally marry such a man'' Jenny said excitedly.

''I guess he isn't so bad after all'' Chloe added.

''But, why do you look depressed when you already asked him out?'' Brenda asked.

''Ray was at the restaurant today and he ran in to that man and me together''

''Why are you tell us that now?'' Brenda asked in an irritated tone.

''What did he say to you?'' Chloe asked.

''Why didn't you call me out? It seems we need to deal with that scum before he develops into a headache'' Jenny suggested

''I agree with you on that'' Chloe said, giving Jenny a high five.

''He said a lot of awful things and in my desperation, I introduced that doctor as my boyfriend''

''What!!'' Chloe turned at once to look at her.

''Holy cow!!'' Jenny muttered.

''You did well'' Brenda suddenly said shocking them.

''She did well?'' Jenny asked.

''I did well?'' even Kristine had to ask her.

''Brenda, this man isn't her boyfriend yet. What if things don't work out between them?''

''We just have to make things work between them then'' Brenda smirked looking at them.

''Do you have an idea?'' Jenny asked.

''Let's get Kris ready first. I can come out with a lot of ways for her to make that man hers'' Brenda looked at the three girls. ''Let's get started''. She stood up and started walking towards her room.
