Chapter 120 Stronger Than I Thought ?

Chapter 120 Stronger Than I Thought ?

?

Vincent's heart thundered like a roaring tempest within his chest as he finally came to a halt, his body crackling with the residual surge of adrenaline.

As the rush of adrenaline subsided, time resumed its steady paced , and his surroundings regained their normal momentum. The world around him no longer blurred into streaks of motion but settled into the mundane rhythm of time.

"Seriously? Did I just do that?" he muttered to himself, his voice tinged with both disbelief and amusement. The sheer speed and precision with which he had executed his plan had caught even him off guard. He couldn't help but wonder if he had been secretly hit by a lightning and turned into a speedster .

With an eager anticipation, he couldn't resist the temptation to check his body for any remnants of a lightning aura. He frantically patted himself down, hoping to catch a glimpse of residual sparks or a faint glow. But to his disappointment, his inspection revealed nothing.

"Damn," he exclaimed, stifling his giggles, "I really thought I had become the fastest man alive!" He couldn't help but recall the countless hours he had spent glued to his television screen, watching a popular TV series about a certain scarlet speedster.

"At least now I know that I'm stronger than I thought . That battle showed me the true power of combining abilities." A sparked of inspiration had ignited within him as he recalled the mesmerizing power fusion he witnessed from Lyka and Enferno.

He realized that he too possessed three distinct powers within him. In the past, he had never fully explored the potential of combining them, always keeping them separate like pieces of a puzzle left scattered on the table. But now, he saw the untapped possibilities awaiting him.

A grin of satisfaction crossed his face as he remembered the fusion of his extraordinary abilities. He knew he could bring together additional boost of his Adrenaline Manipulation, the supernatural speed of a vampire, and the indomitable endurance of a werewolf. The very thought sent shivers of excitement down his spine.

All those self-doubts that had been pestering him before evaporated quicker than spilled soda on a hot summer day. He had been underestimating himself, plain and simple. The epic battles he had witnessed in movies suddenly felt like child's play compared to what he had just accomplished.

"No, I cant be too arrogant " he shook his head .His mind settled, and he refocused on the present. He knew that this newfound confidence needed to be channeled in the right direction. The battles he had witnessed had shown him the importance of being careful and the need to continue growing and evolving.

With a more grounded determination, he understood that he had only scratched the surface of his true capabilities. The journey to self-discovery had just begun, and he was ready to embrace it. He would no longer hold back or doubt his worth.

The earth vibrated beneath the almost silent echoes of multiple vampires sprinting with their utmost speed. Like streaks of shadow, they zoomed across the terrain, their pursuit relentless.

Though fast by supernatural standards, their maximum speed capped at around 90 miles per hour. Every few kilometers, they were forced to halt, panting for breath and regaining their stamina.

"Isabella, who the hell is that Vincent guy?" A handsome man with a blonde hair approached her.

He had watched in awe as Vincent effortlessly completed the mission all on his own. The man couldn't help but notice the fluidity of Vincent's movements, reminiscent of a vampire, yet his speed surpassed even that of their powerful matriarch, Evangeline, during her prime as an Original Vampire.

Evangeline, although considered the weakest among the Originals, was still classified as a Rank S vampire. And here was Vincent, matching her in terms of sheer swiftness. The man couldn't deny the intrigue that gnawed at him, a burning curiosity to uncover the truth behind Vincent's extraordinary abilities.

Isabella's smile grew with a touch of pride as she responded.

"He is our secret weapon." Deep down, though, she couldn't deny a hint of surprise at just how powerful Vincent had become. Yet, she masked her astonishment with an air of confidence, determined to maintain an image of being in the know all along.

The man's face contorted into a puzzled expression .

"Then why did Mother Evangeline send us here in the first place?" He was grateful to have someone as formidable as Vincent fighting alongside them, but the purpose behind their presence left him bewildered.

Isabella was momentarily taken aback by his question, but she knew she had to maintain an air of knowledge and confidence as their leader. Then she had an idea.

Her expression softened as she met the puzzled look of her companion.

"I've wondered the same thing," she admitted, her voice tinged with a hint of uncertainty. "Mother Evangeline has always been wise and calculating in her decisions. There must be a greater purpose to our presence here, something beyond what we can comprehend at the moment."

The man nodded, his expression thoughtful.

"I suppose you're right. Mother Evangeline has always been one step ahead, seeing things others cannot. We must trust in her guidance and the reasons behind her decisions."

"Indeed," Isabella declared, her voice infused with conviction.

"We must trust in Mother Evangeline's wisdom." Her words flowed with a sense of assurance, as if drawing strength from the unwavering faith she held in their matriarch.

The man nodded again, his doubts dissipating in the wake of Isabella's unwavering belief.

"Let's not keep Vincent waiting any longer," she said with determination, her voice laced with a sense of longing.

The atmosphere in Evangeline's lavish chamber was laced with intrigue as the handsome man leisurely sipped his wine. A mischievous smile played upon his lips, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"It's not like you to send your beloved Fenrir on a dangerous mission," he chuckled, his tone laced with both curiosity and jest. The enigma of their conversation hung in the air, veiled beneath layers of secrecy.

Evangeline's expression remained composed, her features betraying only a hint of amusement. She shook her head, dismissing the notion of danger with a wave of her hand.

"Dangerous? my brother is more than capable of completing the mission on his own," she revealed, her voice carrying an air of confidence.

The man raised an eyebrow, his intrigue growing.

"Then why send a team to assist him?" he inquired, his curiosity getting the better of him.

Evangeline's smile deepened, a glimmer of mischief dancing in her eyes. She savored the moment, relishing the anticipation of her impending revelation.

"To prove to everyone," she spoke, her voice tinged with mystery.

His amusement peaked, and the man leaned forward, eager for further explanation.

"Prove what?" he pressed, a playful glint in his gaze.

Evangeline's expression remained enigmatic as she replied, her words rich with satisfaction.

"That my brother is the strongest," she declared with absolute confidence.

"heh-heh-heh" A chuckle escaped the man's lips, his amusement uncontainable. He was one of the most powerful supernatural beings in the world, so he found her confidence both charming and entertaining. The audacity of her claim in the face of his formidable presenced intrigued him.

"Well, I do hope he becomes even more powerful," he chuckled, then his eyes started shifting, as dark patterns swirled inside his red iris to form a magic circle symbol. The air around him seemed to distort, forming a black hole that materialized behind him, pulling him slowly towards its depths.

As he began to fade from view, his voice echoed in the chamber, carrying a sense of foreboding.

"Something big will happen in the future, I hope he's ready when that time comes " he murmured, his words hanging in the air like a lingering omen. Then, with a final farewell, he vanished into thin air, leaving behind a trail of mystery and uncertainty.
