Chapter 212 Existence
Chapter 212 Existence
"Azure Enferno!" Diablo roared in anger.
In an instant, the blue flames engulfing his body intensified, completely evaporating the ice surrounding him. It was a display of his formidable power, a proof to the reserves of energy he had kept hidden.
"Very impressive for a clone. You're even stronger than the original," Diablo taunted, his words laced with the intention to provoke Vincent. He sought to play on his opponent's emotions, to disrupt his focus and sow seeds of doubt.
"But I have also become stronger, " he added
While he acknowledged that Fenrir had previously managed to defeat him, he also had undergone significant growth and become even more powerful since then. The time spent trapped within the damned prison had served as a crucible, forging his soul and body into something greater.
Moreover, he had achieved a profound resonance with his divine armament, enhancing his abilities to new heights
"You've become quite talkative," Vincent sneered, his voice filled with contempt. Diablo's taunt struck a nerve, and he could feel the weight of those words attempting to undermine his self identity.
Without wasting another moment, he propelled himself forward.
Diablo also launched himself forward, flying towards Vincent with a determination not to lose momentum. The clash between them was fierce as their powers collided, the impact resonating through ground.
BOOOOOOM!
BOOOOOOM!
BOOOOOOM!
BOOOOOOM!
Each exchange between them sent shockwaves reverberating through the surroundings. The sheer force behind their blows caused the very ground to quake, threatening to shatter the stability of this very domain
If this fight was in the real world, the shockwaves generated by their battle would have been catastrophic. Within a radius of 20 kilometers, the sheer force of their blows would have been enough to cause destruction on an unimaginable scale, with a very high potential to claim countless lives.
It was a battle that surpassed all expectations, defying the limits of what had been recorded before in supernatural history . The magnitude of their power, the unyielding determination in their eyes, and the impact of their exchanges were a testament to the extraordinary clash unfolding before them.
But behind the backdrop of the clash of powers , Vincent found himself grappling with something far more profound and troubling—something that stirred deep within his heart.
"What is this feeling?" he muttered to himself, perplexed by the unusual sensation coursing through his body. As he engaged more in battle, he noticed that his movements became more aggressive.
It was as if there was an unseen force taking control of his thoughts, directing his every action.
He knew that this feeling was different from any previous experiences of losing control or succumbing to his berserk tendencies. He had long since transcended that aspect of his self, having mastered his inner turmoil and achieved a harmonious balance within.
"I need to end this battle fast " He gritted his teeth .
"GRRRRRRRRR!" A roar resonated, more powerful and fierce than ever before, as Vincent's golden eyes radiated with an intensified glow.
"Wait..." he thought, realizing that this overwhelming surge of power was not stemming from his conscious self.
In that very moment, he found himself completely relinquishing control over his own body, becoming a mere spectator to the extraordinary events unfolding.
"Where am I . What is this place ?"
Transported to a dark and ethereal realm, his surroundings faded into obscurity, leaving only his own vision as a luminous focal point. He watched in shocked as his body, guided by an unseen force, engaged in battles with unparalleled skill and an instinctive understanding of combat.
He could see that Diablo was now being dominated much faster than before. His body was being controlled at a level he could only hope to imagine.
It was as though he was witnessing his own actions as if they were scenes from a movie, detached from reality . His consciousness grappled with a uncertainty, as this surreal experience challenged his understanding of his own existence.
"So you have finally become strong enough " an easy going voice caught Vincent's attention, drawing his gaze towards its source. As he turned around, his eyes widened in astonishment at the sight before him.
Standing there was a very handsome man with long dark hair, but upon closer examination, Vincent couldn't help but notice the striking similarities between them.
"Fenrir?" he instinctively asked.
"Close enough ,... I summoned you here" the man chuckled, a knowing gleam in his eyes, as if he had anticipated Vincent's reaction.
"What is the purpose of bringing me here? What is this place? " Vincent asked with a firm tone, trying to gather his thoughts.
If it were him from before he created his own domain, he would surely have been overwhelmed by this encounter. However, an unexplainable surge of willpower made his mind stronger and more refined than ever before. It was as if this dark place paled in comparison to the challenges he had faced and conquered in order to create his own domain.
"Don't be too cautious; we are still inside your body," the man laughed.
"That's even more concerning," Vincent replied. He couldn't believe that this person had the audacity to joke around at such a serious moment like this.
"You're too serious " The man shook his head .
"Don't waste my time and tell me the truth about myself," Vincent asked . He had been dying to know the truth about himself ,and now the person that can answer it was in front of him.
"What is there to say? I am you, and you are me,"
"That's total nonsense. How can we be having this conversation if we are the same person?"
"You are smarter than I initially assumed," Fenrir chuckled.
"Regrettably, those girls believed otherwise because of their loved for the original ," he sighed, a hint of weariness in his voice..
"What do you mean by that? Who are these girls, and why does their love for you play a role in our connection?"
"Don't ask questions that you already know," the man chuckled softly.
Vincent did not reply; he had already guessed who they were. He had only acted clueless all this time, but deep inside, he knew that Evangeline, Erika, and the rest were hiding something from him. The overwhelming love and unwavering support they showered upon him felt unnatural.
He had sensed a subtle undertone in their affection, a lingering feeling that they desired something else from him. Deep down, he acknowledged this truth, yet fear held him back from fully accepting it. It was a natural human response to recoil from the possibility that those closest to him had ulterior motives
"To be honest, they all believed that if you grew stronger, The original would eventually return to life. But the reality is, neither of us is the true Fenrir. I am merely a fragment of his memory, and in a peculiar sense, you are an entirely different individual altogether."
"So both of us are fake " Vincent's sighed in relief. The man's revelation did not surprise him for some reason. It was as if their minds were connected somehow, and he subconsciously knew that what he was saying was true.
"What will happen now? You were able to take over my body just like that, are you just going to give me back control?" Vincent's eyes narrowed , he could already feel where this conversation will lead to.
The man's face turned serious for the very first time.
"Unfortunately , we could no longer co-exist now that you are here "
