Chapter 3 Ch: 03
?Nathan urged him to leave the building, and they stepped outside to be greeted by his bodyguard and two sleek black BMW X7s. With a nod of respect, the guards opened the car doors for the duo.
As they made their way toward John F Kennedy International, He took in the sights and sounds of New York City. The streets bustled with life as people rushed to their destinations, the sound of honking cars and the bustle of pedestrian traffic filling the air.
The skyscrapers loomed high above, their glass windows reflecting the morning light. In the distance, he could see the Statue of Liberty, a beacon of freedom and hope. This was the city that never slept, and he was grateful for the chance to be a part of it, even if just for a moment.
"Why the long face? We're just heading to Rome, after all. It's not like we're facing the end of the world." Nathan teased, a grin spreading across his own. "
"You invite me out of the blue and you expect me to simply go along with it?" He looked at Nathan, trying to understand his motivations.
"Ah, yes ?" Nathan replied with a wide grin on his face.
Vincent sighed and shook his head, looking at Nathan with a mix of disbelief and amusement. "You're a real spoiled brat," he said, not quite able to hide the lightheartedness in his tone
Nathan just shrugged, seemingly unfazed by his friend's words. Despite their different backgrounds, the two friends had a close bond, and playful jabs like these were common between them.
"What's the plan for this trip?" Vincent asked, curious about what had caught his friend's interest.
"Ah, it's a secret," Nathan chuckled, a hint of excitement in his voice. "But trust me, this is going to be an adventure unlike any other."
"What did I expect from you," He sighed, already resigned to the fact that Nathan would not answer him seriously.
As they drove to the airport, both of them chatted and passed the time, discussing various topics and enjoying each other's company.

They arrived at the airport and were escorted to Nathan's family's private jet, a white Gulfstream G650.
As they boarded, they were welcomed by two beautiful stewardesses.
"Welcome aboard " The two stewardesses welcomed them , their beauty as different as night and day.
One was a golden-haired angel, with bright blue eyes and a smile that shone like the sun, while the other was a goddess of the night, with dark skin and deep, mysterious eyes. Together, they embodied the grace and elegance of flight. Nathan's private jet was like a temple of beauty and luxury, waiting to take them on their journey.
Unfortunately, Vincent's nerdy demeanor made him shy and uneasy in the presence of the striking stewardesses. As he stepped aboard the luxurious private jet, his nervousness manifested in his reluctance to make eye contact, his gaze instead darting away.
Nathan couldn't help but stifle a grin as he watched Vincent's awkwardness around the two stunning stewardesses. He knew all too well how intimidated his friend was by the opposite sex. It was a familiar sight, but still, one that always elicited a chuckle from him.
Despite Vincent's obvious nervousness, Nathan was grateful for his company on this trip, and he couldn't wait to see what exciting adventures lay ahead in Rome.
Vincent settled into his seat, admiring the luxurious interior of the private jet. He'd ridden on one of Nathan's father's planes before, but this Gulfstream G650 was something entirely different.
The interior was a symphony of rich materials and luxurious finishes, with every detail carefully crafted to create an atmosphere of luxury and sophistication. From the plush leather seats to the gleaming walnut paneling, every aspect of the plane was designed to indulge the senses and transport its passengers to a world of comfort and elegance.
"Hey, want to play some games? I had a PS5 installed on this jet for our entertainment," Nathan offered, jolting Vincent from his thoughts.
"Yeah, let's pass the time by playing some games," Vincent responded.
As they continued to immerse themselves in their gaming, the private jet smoothly lifted off into the sky.
The stewardesses attended to their every need, presenting delectable plates of gourmet cuisine and pouring glasses of rich, exquisite wine. Vincent and Nathan indulged in both, savoring each bite and sip as they continued their gaming escapade.
Midflight.
"So, have you mustered the courage to confess your feelings to Elaine yet?" Nathan turned to Vincent with a mischievous glint in his eye.
The sudden question caused Vincent to hesitate, his mind was suddenly consumed by thoughts of the object of his affection.
"Confess my feelings to Elaine," he muttered, the words heavy on his tongue. The thought of expressing his love to her had lingered in his mind for some time, but he never mustered the courage to act on it.
Now, with Nathan's prodding, he couldn't help but wonder if it was finally time to take the leap.
Vincent paused the game, as his friend's words drifted to him.
"I've told you before, I could help you win her over," Nathan teased with a smirk. "Just let me lend you my Lambo to drive to the university, and you'll instantly be the talk of the campus with the ladies."
"Elaine is not like the other girls," Vincent said, his tone becoming serious as he spoke. "She is special, unique. I don't just want to win her over with material possessions or popularity. I want to win her heart with who I am." The weight of his words hung heavily in the air, the true depth of his feelings for Elaine evident in his voice.
"You're old-fashioned, but that's what makes you my best friend," Nathan chuckled, his eyes shining with amusement. He playfully punched Vincent's shoulder.
"But how do you plan to compete with Justin? I heard that he is also courting Elaine. I don't want to worry you, but Justin is one of the biggest rising pop stars in America," Nathan asked Vincent, whose face became pale after hearing his words.
Vincent sighed heavily, his mind racing with thoughts of what he could do to win Elaine's heart. He knew that Justin was a force to be reckoned with, a rising star with a huge following and undeniable talent.
"I don't know, Nathan," Vincent said, his voice tinged with defeat. "I just don't know how I can compete with someone like Justin. He has everything going for him, and I'm just...me."
Nathan placed a comforting hand on Vincent's shoulder. "Don't sell yourself short, buffy. You have something that Justin doesn't."
"I do? " Vincent felt a glimmer of hope ignited within him.
"Yes, you do." Nathan's smile was warm and comforting, and his eyes were filled with a mixture of encouragement and concern.
"What is it ?"
Nathan's hand stilled on Vincent's shoulder as his gaze became distant, his eyebrows knitting together in deep concentration. It was clear that he was thinking of something important, something that he wanted to share with his friend. He took a deep breath, and when he spoke, his voice was filled with wisdom.
"You have a billionaire best friend."
"Eh?"
Vincent's face fell as he realized that Nathan was not as serious as he had thought. He saw the mischievous glint in his friend's eyes and the twitch of his lips, trying to hold back a laugh.
Their laughter filled the room, a release of the tension and stress that had built up in both of them. Nathan's head was thrown back, his eyes crinkling with mirth, while Vincent's shoulders shook with each peal of laughter. The sound was contagious, and soon they were both doubled over, gasping for air.
For a moment, they were just two friends, enjoying each other's company and laughing without a care in the world.
"You got me, Nathan," Vincent said, shaking his head in disbelief. "I almost believed you for a moment there."
Nathan chuckled, his shoulders shaking with amusement. "Sorry, I couldn't resist. I had to see the look on your face," he said, still grinning widely.
Vincent couldn't help but laugh along with Nathan.
"Well, you got me good. But thanks for the laugh, I needed it."
