Chapter 56 Black Blood

Chapter 56 Black Blood

?"You're strong, my dear, but do you really think this is all I've got?" Celeste's clone sneered, growing bored with their exchange. She had been holding back her power, wanting to have some fun.

"Do you think your bluff will work on me?"

Denise remained calm and replied with a cold voice,

"You're really quite arrogant, my dear. Let me teach you a lesson before I send you to your maker " Celeste's clone shook her head in mockery. Suddenly, she started tearing black liquid.

The black liquid dripped onto the floor and quickly spread, painting everything in its path.

Denise's expression changed as she saw the whole room starting to flood.

Quickly, she used her wind spell to lift herself and Debbie up. She feared that the black liquid could be a deadly poison.

The black liquid continued to pour into the underground basement, transforming it into a murky lake.

Denise's click her tounge in annoyance as she estimated the depth of the black liquid to be at least two feet.

"This is bad," she muttered, feeling the strain of using her wind spell to keep herself and Debbie afloat. She knew her element-based abilities consumed much more energy than her normal curses.

"Are you afraid to come down, my dear?" Celeste taunted , noticing the contorted expression on Denise's face.

"You're just relying on my Aunt's Domain, and stop calling me my dear. It's making me sick." Denise refused to show any weakness and retorted, her face a stark contrast of what she's feeling right now.

"Let's see if you can keep up that facade " Celeste raised her right hand and flicked her finger.

Suddenly, the black liquid formed into vine-like slimy tentacles and attacked Denise from all directions.

Her eyes widened in shock as she saw the innumerable tentacles coming at her from every angle.

She dodged the slimy vines, but they kept coming at her. So without missing a beat, she called upon the wind and sent powerful gusts , hoping to keep the tentacles at bay.

Debbie on the other hand was unaware of the intense battle happening outside of the swarm of insects that her sister had created to keep her safe. It seemed that Celeste has no intention of attacking her.

As the battle continued, Denise struggled to keep her balance as the vine-like slimy tentacles attacked her relentlessly. She knew that she couldn't keep this up much longer.

"I give up , you can take over now!" She yelled.

"About time," Denise's voice suddenly deepened, sounding more guttural and menacing than before. Her eyes turned darker, and her skin took on a pale color. It was as if a whole different entity had taken over her body.

"Party's over fake bitch," she snarled at Celeste's clone, her words dripping with contempt. She raised a hand, and a sinister energy seemed to radiate from it.

With a malevolent grin, she hissed out a curse that sounded like a death sentence. The air crackled with dark power as the curse surged upward, aimed straight at the ceiling. It was clear that this was not the cold, but caring Denise that Debbie knew. This was someone, or something far more dangerous.

The decayed ceiling suddenly erupted with a grotesque shower of maggots, each one the size of a hand. They plopped into the black liquid on the ground and absorbed it, growing to the size of a human. It was a revolting sight.

But Celeste knew what she had to do. She used her own black blood curse to pierce these giant maggots.

Both of their powers had clashed, and they were now back at a standstill.

The two women faced each other with contempt in their eyes, each one a twisted version of the original. Denise's alter ego exuded a primal energy, her eyes black as night, while Celeste's clone oozed with sensuality, her every move dripping with seduction.

"You are nothing but a cheap imitation," Denise spat.

"And yet here I am, standing before you," Celeste's clone replied, twirling a strand of her hair with a mocking smile.

Their exchange was filled with tension, their opposing energies crackling in the air. It was as if they were two sides of the same coin, each one vying for dominance over the other.

"I'll end this now" Celeste's clone raised her hands, ready to unleash her strongest attack . The black liquid around her began to move with greater scope and intensity, creating a sense of impending doom.

But just as she was about to unleash her deadly magic, a sudden blur of fur charged towards her with lightning speed. Celeste tried to turn her head to see what was coming, but it was too late.

"Awoooooooooooooo"

In that moment, time seemed to slow down as the massive creature lunged towards her. The air was filled with a deafening roar that shook the very foundations of the underground basement. Celeste's eyes widened in terror as she realized what was happening. Vincent broke her control over him.

She frantically summoned a barrier of black liquid to protect herself from his attack, but the he was too quick for her. With a fierce determination in his eyes, he effortlessly shattered the shield as if it were made of tofu, stunning her.

"No!!!!!" She screamed

But before she could even react, Vincent's claw ripped through the air and connected with her chest, causing her to let out a bloodcurdling scream. The force of the attack sent her crashing to the ground, her body convulsing in pain.

"Don't kill me , darling " she pleaded for mercy.

But the primal instincts of Vincent's werewolf form took over, drowning out any moral qualms he may have had. As he stood over his fallen prey, he felt a surge of adrenaline rush through his veins, fueling his rage and ferocity.

"Awooooooooo" With a fierce howl, he plunged his razor-sharp claws into her neck, relishing in the sound of her convulsing body beneath him. In that moment, there was no room for hesitation or regret; only the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of victory.
