Chapter 78 Super Talented

Chapter 78 Super Talented

As they enjoyed their meal, Fir's mind drifted back to his past, wondering what kind of person he was before his memory loss. He couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something important he needed to remember. All of this questions surfaced after meeting Justin. He wanted to know why he was so annoyed by this person.

"Why do I feel so irritated by this guy? He doesn't even seem to know me before. Am I just being petty? I mean, let's be real, I'm way better looking than him. So it's not like I'm feeling insecure or anything," Fir muttered to himself.

Lost in thought, he barely registered the conversation around him until Zelena asked him a question.

"Fir, is everything okay? You seem a little preoccupied."

He snapped back to attention, realizing that everyone was looking at him.

"I'm fine, just lost in thought. Sorry about that," he said with a small smile.

Zelena and her friends exchanged a worried look, unsure of how to proceed. They didn't want him to feel bored around them.

Justin, on the other hand, was taking note of the situation. He had a feeling that something was off with Fir's behavior towards him. Despite putting up a friendly facade , Justin could sense that Fir was uneasy around him, almost as if he was annoyed. Now, he was starting to regret approaching him in the first place.

He initially thought that Fir was just another wealthy guy, but little did he know that he was actually a VIP.

Zelena sensed the tension between Justin and Fir, so she tried to lighten the mood. She had a crush on Justin before, but now he had a girlfriend from New York, so she shifted her attention to Fir. She found him to be an enigma - handsome, wealthy, and cool. She even thought that Justin's only advantage over Fir was his talent and popularity.

"Well, if you're looking for a distraction, we can show you the other areas of the club. There's a sports gym, a pool, and even a karaoke room."

Fir perked up at the mention of karaoke.

"Karaoke? Sure. Lead the way."

The karaoke room was a luxurious haven, boasting opulent furnishings and glittering decor that spoke to its extravagant design. Its plush velvet walls had been soundproofed to perfection, ensuring an uninterrupted auditory experience for those within.

The state-of-the-art equipment gleamed under the soft, warm lighting, a testament to the exorbitant price tag that came with it. The room was a testament to the height of luxury, offering an experience that was as beautiful as it was indulgent.

"You are my everything ...." The first notes poured from Justin's lips like liquid gold, filling the room with a mesmerizing melody that left everyone spellbound. Even Fir had to admit that Justin was a really good singer.

But as the song went on, a nagging irritation crept into Fir's mind, and he couldn't shake it. The more he listened, the more it grated on his nerves.

Next up was Zelena, a seasoned singer in her own right. Her voice was sweet and sultry, filling the room with a warmth that left everyone feeling cocooned and safe.

Then, it was Fir's turn. He wasn't sure what he was going to sing, but he knew he couldn't act weak in front of them.

"I'll sing 'Everything' ," he said, hoping it wouldn't be a disaster. He didn't have any recollection of being a good singer. However, he did recall the tempo and tune of Justin's song, which he had heard moments ago. So, in order to avoid any embarrassment or awkwardness, he decided to choose it.

"Did you like my song?" Justin chuckled.

Fir gritted his teeth, the irritation coming back in full force.

"Yeah, man . It was great," he said through clenched teeth.

As he took the mic, Fir closed his eyes and let the music take over. To his surprise, he found himself effortlessly hitting all the right notes, his voice soaring like a bird in flight. At first, it was a tentative voice, but as he found his footing, his voice soared higher and higher, filling the room with a beautiful melody that left everyone speechless.

It was as if the very air had become charged with magic, and every note he sang was more beautiful than the last. The other singers looked on in amazement, their eyes wide with wonder. Even Justin, who had been so confident in his own singing abilities, was silenced by Fir's performance.

As the song reached its climax, his voice reached a crescendo, soaring higher than anyone had ever heard before. The room erupted in applause, the sound thundering like a thousand hands clapping in unison.

"That was incredible!" Zelena exclaimed, her voice full of awe. "I can't believe how amazing you are, Fir!"

"I knew you had it in you," Justin said, with a forced smile. "You were even better than me, man. You made the whole song sound so much better!"

Fir played it cool and smiled back at them, as if what he had just accomplished was no big deal.

But the truth was that all of the other singers present knew better. With their experience and finely-tuned ears, they recognized Fir's talent immediately. It was a rare and remarkable gift that only someone with immense skill could possess. And yet, he had demonstrated it with such ease and grace that it was clear he was truly a master of his craft.

Little did they know that it was the first and only time he had ever sung anything, as far as he could remember.

"Mother Evangeline," Isabella's voice was tinged with worry, "do you think it's safe to leave Fir alone outside?"

They had taken refuge in the underground basement of the mansion to avoid the harsh morning sun. Isabella was just an ordinary vampire, with a low tolerance for sunlight, and Evangeline had her own reasons for staying underground due to her frail body.

"I trust his ability to take care of himself," she replied with a smile. "Besides, he is the second most flexible and talented person I know"

"Who's the first ?" Isabella asked .

"My oldest brother Xavier"
