Magical Academy: Rise of the Supreme Magic Craftsman

Chapter 152 - Ravencroft Printer

Chapter 152 - Ravencroft Printer

The powerful magicians he met like Chalice could probably kill Miya with a snap of his fingers, but this same person couldn't do what Miya has done. It says a lot about how unique this Soul Art was.

In short, he further studied his Divine Sense and sure enough. It can be left to a certain object and could act as the mental waves for the machines.

'I see. This fully made sense. If automatons can do what the Mana Technicians can do, then there wouldn't be any human fabricators around.' Wallace said in his mind. It must be remembered how difficult it can to be a magic engineer. Most students that couldn't pass would have to work in a factory and fabricate Mana Artifacts for a living. If automatons can do the same thing then there might be a different level of civilization of this world. The world might be filled with automatons working non-stop. It would be a lot scarier.

Wallace sighed looking at the report about the successful fabrication.

'At last... This should be the real start of my hard labor.' Wallace thought as with this machine he could start a lot of his project.

A while ago, he had traveled back and forth, from his house in Tanza City to here in Red Star Town and it only took him an hour using his Void Phase. It may have been faster if he wasn't having a serious headache after continuous usage of the skill. With this side effect, he had to take a rest every time he used the Void Phase four or five times.

It was still acceptable to him.

After arriving in his house, he noticed that the place outside was already fixed as if nothing has happened. Turrets on the wall and holes on the ground were perfectly fixed as if no crime has occurred recently.

He didn't bother to check it before as long as his workshop was fine. So he appreciated Officers Ray's thorough assistance on his property.

He brought the material containing his Divine Sense to act as Mental Waves for the machine or Fabricator.

Yes, the material in question was the memory crystal. His Divine Sense could not be stored to Magic Crystal or any objects other than the empty memory crystals. He asked his father to have three of the memory crystals he brought from work but his father was quite generous giving all 10.

Anyway, there's no one in their family other than Wallace who was interested in the crystals. Clarice has nothing in mind to use it for, Claire doesn't know what it is. And his parents were surely uninterested.

"That was probably the same method for transferring the magician's knowledge to the crystal." Wallace mumbled remembering the sensation of cutting off his Divine Sense to be stored in the crystal.

Wallace was in a very good mood now that he uncovered several things just by attempting to create his Fabricator. He actually thought that the test would take several hours but after he got back home, he was immediately informed by Avalon about the progress so he quickly checked his laptop to make further arrangements.

Now that the main part of his Fabricator was successfully designed without any issues. It was now time to fully build his Ravencroft Printer.

Wallace immediately instructed the A.I. to start making the machine. Based on their workflow, the machine, partly mana artifact, can be built within two days.

The Zairus Magician's Congress.

"How was Chester's progress in perfecting the Cryptic Link?" An old lady probably reaching in her sixties asked one of the younger officers of the Congress. Her attention was fully focused on the reporting officer.

The two were currently in her office and on her desk was her wooden nameplate.

'Tiffany Ahmed - Deputy Secretary'

Marvin Cummings, who had been working for the Congress for years now was transferred from tracking the Sealed Mana Artifact -Hallowed Eyes in Tanza City to the Anti-Mage Mutation Task Force. He was now the key person between Chester from the Ministry of Magic Education and the Congress.

He was actually feeling a bit of regret as he had thought before that there would be more actions in this squad compared to his previous task. It's really hard to be promoted further in his current position.

Unfortunately, the task force he transferred to was so peaceful as they could no longer find the traces Shaman's Hex Faction of the Z-Company, the faction that deals with the experimentation of human physiology. They have hidden very well that it made them spend a lot of time just for searching clues.

The prime minister had even found a scapegoat from his trusted aides as he had escaped from receiving any accusations. In the meantime, they can only guard and wait for Chester to perfect the serum.

"He mentioned that he had almost perfected it." Marvin added in his report.

"What's missing?" Tiffany asked in curiosity.

"He said that once a magician consumed the Cryptic Link serum, the magician would reach the Arcane Link level forcefully without any side effects."

"Isn't that the aim of the project? He should be done right? Why isn't it perfect?"

"Mhm. That's right, but they can only remain in that state for half an hour. If they stayed in that for a longer time, it would be difficult to return in the previous state and it would corrupt their Mana Bodies."

"Hmm... Half an hour, huh."

"Yes, but even though it was only half an hour, it can still help those stuck magicians to feel the Arcane Link and this might help them a breakthrough in the future."

"I get that but... its not a guarantee. What happened to those materials given by Chalice?"

"Ahh... Chester made an incredible magic formation that was based on the Z-Company's work. This formation allowed him to extract the mysterious energy gathered around those materials. He had taken almost a bucket of that mysterious energy or element before the materials turned to normal. By being normal, I mean to the primordial being's standard."

Marvin provided photos of the materials together with the serum.

Tiffany then checked the photos of those weird but familiar-looking materials again before she replied.

"Heh.. primordial beings, huh... It's been a while since I heard that. Tsk. It pisses me off remembering those people who call themselves Celestial Beings. Hmph... I hope they would all just die there." The second part of her words was said in a soft voice as if remembering something terrible with those Celestial Beings.

Marvin hadn't really understood what this old lady was saying. He only knows that the term 'primordial beings' was a jargon they are commonly using to refer to some mysterious individuals living in the northern continent. Of course, the information was gathered in exchange for sacrificing thousands of magicians during the expedition. They learned about their weapons that always have uncommon functions.

For the Celestial Beings, he hadn't heard of this before. Are they the same? He wasn't sure.

Anyway, this lady was one of the 24 survivors of the northern continent expedition together with Dr. Mau Zed. Although she looks old, being only around in her 60s, Marvin was not aware of her true age. It may be higher than that but he just didn't dare to ask since it was none of his business.

"If Chester was done in extracting all the energies from those materials. Hand over those items to Czarina from Armory Division, she'll know what to do next."

"I understand."

Marvin completed his report and went back to Chester's laboratory. He was actually having a hard time managing Chester's mood. He was clearly aware that if ever they were not in the possession of the items they received from Chalice, this person may not have even accepted the task to perfect the serum. Anyway, it would really be tough just by relying on the leftovers of Shaman's Hex Faction.

Two days had passed as Wallace awaited for the news of his A.I. about the completion of his 3D Printer. He was a bit excited about this.

Although he could still watch the recording of the creation process to keep updated, he still doesn't want to. Anyway, it shouldn't be that helpful to watch only the latter part of the creation process.

Wallace felt better if he wasn't thinking too much about the A.I.'s progress. It means that he'll be able to think clearly for other things. After all, he was also making some arrangement to get a master. It was a mission given by the Pathfinder so he was taking it seriously.

Ding!

A familiar sound was heard so he immediately checked his A.I.

[ News Update - Tanza City ]

'Oh... I remember now. I asked the A.I. to gather information around the city that could possibly affect my stay.'

Wallace read the news and was a bit surprised that the article actually refers to his Leonhearts Academy.

"Eh? They will be adding a new curriculum? Why? Is there a new faculty? Amazing..." He couldn't help but be surprised due to the sudden news he had received.

He read further and saw that the academy was now accepting new students and transferring students were even more welcomed for the new Magician's Path available in the academy.

[ New Magician's Path Enrollment Notice ]

Wallace shook his head after re-reading the article's headline. It seems his third year would be very interesting.
