Chapter 1: Help Bail Me Out (1)

“No, it’s boring.”

Yan Cheng threw the cards on the table, raised his glass of wine, and reclined lazily against the back of the sofa.

Winter was approaching. In the middle of the night, the bitter cold wind blew relentlessly, causing the shadows of the surrounding trees to tremble underneath the street lights. The entire city was immersed in this biting and gloomy weather. Many office buildings have already turned off their lights while the shopping malls were closed after a completing a day’s work.

At this time, a place where music, lust, and beauties mingled began to light up. Men’s worldly desires began to quietly unfold here.

There was a bar located at the center of the city called 1401 Er Guan.

The name itself sounded generic and unattractive.

However, most of the customers who were allowed entrance were rich and affluent.

It was rumored that Er Guan was a small, pleasurable world that belonged exclusively to the wealthy.

Whether it be the prey or the hunter, or seeking a false romance, this place was a true hunting ground for the rich who were infatuated with a sensual and hedonistic lifestyle.

Within the bar, various fumes and colors mixed together.

The deafening music played as people swung their bodies rhythmically on the dance floor.

Men and women stuck close to each other, rubbing and twisting their waist, releasing their suppressed emotions with pleasure.

Compared to the lively dance floor, the compartments on the second floor were much more spacious and quiet. The enclosed cubicles gave its customers privacy. In one particular room, the heat of a card game intensified, rising steadily, causing people to be at the edge of their seats.

Suddenly, the game ended, and there will inevitably be a few grunts of discontent.

After grumbling in complaint, a few of the players glanced up at Yan Cheng. Seeing the male God sitting alone in the middle of the sofa, his acquaintances couldn’t help but raise a brow and mumble.

There was an awkward silence for three minutes. All that remained was the loud and restless music booming from the hall. This time, everyone was bored and annoyed from the lack of entertainment.

After playing with his cellphone for a while, one man raised his hand and tapped the bell on the wall to call for service.

Not long after, a group of girls in revealing yet exquisite dresses arrived at the cubicle.

All the other men in the room frowned except for the blonde haired young man who requested the service.

“Brother Yan, why don’t you choose first?” the blonde haired man offered with a hint of flattery.

Yan Cheng raised his head and observed the dim and yellow flashing lights. He turned sideways towards the blonde haired, his eyes narrowing with warning while his index finger tapped at his wineglass meaningfully: “Zhou Chao, you’ve managed this bar for just over a month…Are you trying to get me caught by the police while you’re at it?”

“No, Brother Cheng, the bar business has been improving nowadays.” Zhou Chao pulled himself together and tried to explain, “Besides, there are many clubs operating around this time of night, isn’t it rare to get a police inspection?”

This playboy usually hung around Yan Cheng. When Yan Cheng heard such a reply from the young man, he looked over contemptuously and almost laughed in scorn.

Miss Zhou’s cousin can’t possibly be a mental retard, right?

“The brothel business is of course good enough for karaokes every night,” Yan Cheng commented nonchalantly, but it made it obvious that he didn’t follow Zhou Chao’s business practices. “Since I’m back, you no longer have to take charge here.”

“Ah Tai will pay you your final salary,” Yan Cheng said firmly as he slowly folded his arms. “Take your women and scram.”

The frequent customers all knew that Er Guan was becoming more and more shady.

The smoke was so thick, to the point where the building seemed to have degenerated into a red-light district.

Not only were women specially sold on the surface.

Men and women ignored the smoke, and with their blurred consciousness, they swayed within their groups.

Zhou Chao came out of Er Guan, cursing and swearing.

After exhausting all the flattery he knew of, his humble face changed faster than a turn of a page.

Only

Within this noisy crowd, he put down all pretenses and cursed Yan Cheng, saying he was just a dog who trembled underneath his sister Zhou’s feet.

“Pei!” He spat at the pavilion’s entrance and raised his chin. “What’s so good about this place anyways?”

After a few seconds, he slowly pulled out his cellphone from his pocket and dialed a number.

Meanwhile, the cubicle at the second floor was filled with cheers and compliments.

Yan Cheng’s fox-like yet loyal friends praised him; the male God acted just as they had hoped. For these past two years, they knew that Yan Cheng was willing to live and die for a certain woman and was obedient to her wishes. And Zhou Chao was this woman’s cousin. But hey, to be honest, everyone was waiting for this cousin of hers to be wrecked.

“Master Yan, did you think things through before you got married?”

“Is Zhou Xue now a thing of the past?”

Zhou Xue abandoned Yan Cheng to marry his greatest rival.
