Chapter 715: It’s Definitely a Trap!
The only thing that was left was the enemies’ hovercopter!
Whoosh!
Another missile was fired!
“Boom!”
As the explosion erupted, the people in the area seemed to be unfazed. This seemed to have already become part of the norm in this war-ridden place.
However, the people from the Human Alliance did not expect things to become so heated. Neil Bol, who was already as drunk as a skunk, too was now half-sober from all the explosions. He raised his voice and cursed furiously to the sky.
Although Qin Feng did not understand what they were saying, he too understood that they were already scrambling to get their weapons to fight back.
Sure enough, Greenlit City started to fire their cannons and rifles at the enemies—even the villa area too had started to fire their weapons. They did not care if their attacks would engulf the other areas and injure the civilians at all when they opened fire.
“Sir, let’s head out and check it out!”
An aptitude user from the Philippines Alliance suggested with his conscious energy.
Everyone too looked at Neil Bol, awaiting his command.
The enemies had struck his front door now. He must fight back.
“Alright! And I’ve got you all here too! I believe that, in time, they will retreat after witnessing our strength!” Neil Bol invited everyone to walk through the door first before tailing everyone from behind.
Qin Feng did not care about what Neil Bol was thinking about. He walked straight out of the door. For quite some time now, he was already quite pissed at the enemies for attacking the place numerous times in a row.
As soon as he walked through the door, Qin Feng saw that there were about fifty combat hovercopters hovering in the air. There were also two huge hover carriers—these things could carry about three hundred to four hundred men.
Still, their fire powers were quite underwhelming in Qin Feng’s eyes. It was like witnessing children playing cops and robbers.
Meanwhile, Neil Bol’s face turned grim when he saw this. He quickly sent his conscious energy hundreds of meters away to the hover carriers.
“Who is your leader? Do you guys have a death wish? How dare you send so many people here? Are you taunting us?!”
In response, the enemies replied, “Taunt? You were the one that destroyed 22 of our combat hovercopters! If you don’t pay for the damages, I’ll level your Greenlit City to ruins!”
Neil Bol instinctively retorted, “Maul Goh? You’re Maul Goh, right? What a dreadful vampire! You’re such a dirty, greedy, despicable fool! Since when did I destroy 22 of your combat hovercopters? If you want to scam money from us, I can tell you that we don’t have money for you! Not even a cent! You better ask for a much reasonable price!”
The others from other alliances looked at one another, struggling to keep a straight face—this scene was quite a weirdly amusing one to witness. Even the ones from the Japanese Alliance, who were usually serious and respectful, were staring at Neil Bol like he was some pitiful worm.
Twenty two combat helicopters? Those would not cost much money—it was like about a few dozen billion. Besides, Neil Bol did not seem to want to fight off these enemies at all. In fact, it seemed like he actually intended to pay them off...?
So, this was how the usual Greenlit City was like? Being bullied by bandits?
“Hmph! They think they can just come and threaten us with equipment like these? What do they think we are?” A member of the Philippines Alliance was, however, not amused.
Thus, in a pull of his conscious energy, he forcefully grabbed a dozen cannon balls in the air and hurled them back at the combat hovercopters.
Seeing this, the hovercopters immediately activated their energy shields and blocked the attack.
Maul Goh yelled out loudly, “So... were you the one who was attacking us just now?!”
Qin Feng was too quick in defeating the twenty two combat hovercopters earlier. As such, these bandits from the Dark Coalition did not know who was the one who defeated them. Now that they saw a person from the Philippines Alliance attacking them, he thought that it was them that were attacking them earlier.
As Maul Goh was glaring at everyone from his hover carrier’s deck, another person walked out from inside—a man who was about two meters tall with a full body of muscles. From afar, he looked like a walking, humanoid fortress.
Qin Feng recognized this man.
“That’s ‘Steel Giant’, the A-tier Sal Bar!”
This was a member of the S-tier Dark Organization—”Devil’s Eye”. Sal Bar was an A1-tier Metal ability user. And he was insanely strong.
This group of bandits had employed the aid of an A-tier!
Nonetheless... All that Qin Feng did was take out a branch of their organization. So, how did this attract an A-tier over?
This also explained why the enemies seemed to be so fearless in their attacks now.
“I heard that there are a lot of new kids joining the Human Alliance? Heh. That’s good. It’s been a long time since I last ate a human-meat snack!” Sal Bar widened his mouth as he laughed out loud, showcasing his metallic teeth for everyone to see.
The short warrior from the Japanese Alliance started to feel frightened after seeing Sal Bar. In fact, not only him—the others too were feeling terrified after seeing the A-tier appearing.
“This... This is a trap... Hey, I thought you guys said that there aren’t any A-tiers appearing in this region?”
Neil Bol shook his head. “No! No No No! We said that there is no S-tier. We don’t even know that there is an A-tier amongst their ranks!”
“Damn it! So, you lied to us?”
“This is a misunderstanding! I assure you! Besides, we can solve this quite easily. All I need to do is pay for the hovercopters, that’s all!”
After hearing this, the people on the hover carriers started to nod their heads, seemingly agreeing to what he had said.
“Yeah, each person only has to pay a few trillion if we all fork up the money!”
After hearing this, the others were so pissed they almost fainted!
Those hovercopters only cost at most around a few dozen billion! And now, they needed to pay trillions for those crappy hovercopters?! What a joke!
Yet, Sal Bar was not joking. In fact, this was actually what they had been doing all this while to Greenlit City. This was also why Neil Bol was so financially poor.
Right now, even Xu Qing too was frowning. “So, what do we do now, Qin Feng? I think this is a trap. Even the enemies knew that we were coming. Someone leaked this information to them.”
When they travelled here, they were doing so on a low profile. Even when they were moving around, both Xu Qing and Qin Feng did not even wear their B-tier badges. And from what Sal Bar said, it seemed that they already knew that they were coming.
“Of course. It’s quite clear now that there’s a traitor in the Amazon Alliance. But if they think they can get away with doing this, they’re so wrong.”
Meanwhile, Neil Bol mocked up a terrified and panic look and asked everyone with his conscious energy.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let’s just pay them. Word has it that this Sal Bar is really strong!”
Xu Qing smirked. “Sure. If you want to pay them, you pay. We can’t meddle with the affairs of the Amazon Alliance.”
“Yeah! That’s right!”
“If you want to please them by paying them, then do it yourself!”
Suddenly, a teenager appeared next to Neil Bol. It was the same teenager who welcomed Qin Feng. He raised his finger and pointed at Qin Feng. “He has money! And he was the one who destroyed Devil’s Eye’s hovercopters!”
In an instant, everyone’s eyes were on Qin Feng.
Right now, no one wanted to pay the ransom. And no one wanted to fight an A-tier enemy.
“Then, he’ll have to answer to what he has done!”
“Yes! He’s the one who’s responsible!”
“Yeah! We have nothing to do with this!”
Qin Feng sighed at how quick they changed their attitude.
However, a curve of smile beamed up on Qin Feng’s face.
“Well, yes. Perhaps we can solve this.”
