Chapter 72 - Brians Confusion
Chapter 72: Brian’s Confusion
“I hope that you can help me with alchemy, Alchemist Mas,” Brian looked at Mas with a sincere expression.
Mas smiled at that. “I’ll do my best!”
Mas walked to the counter and looked at the herbs and magical beast parts materials in his hand. He was actually trying to obtain this information.
According to the information obtained from checking these items, these herbs and magical beast parts materials were indeed ice-attribute herbs.
Mas looked thoughtful as he pondered over the combination of these things.
Warlocks and alchemists were different.
When alchemists refined alchemy items, they would not have more than five alchemy materials and would focus more on matching them.
However, warlocks were the opposite. Warlocks liked to mix many herbs and magical beast parts together to create a combination spell.
Now Brian had placed more than a dozen materials on the counter.
Mas considered for a moment and asked Brian, “Warlock Brian, did you directly mix these things when you were making the witchcraft mixture?”
“That’s right. When we warlocks make the magic potion, we mix all kinds of things together and extract their juices to make the magic potion,” Brian replied.
When Mas heard this, he could not help but smile bitterly. From now on, he understood the mood of the alchemists very well.
No wonder alchemists looked down on warlocks.
Apart from the rumored warlock who secretly learned alchemy and changed their name to witchcraft, the warlock also had very crude ways of making magic potion. It was a complete hodgepodge.
Mixing all items of the same attribute together to extract the liquid would become a spell combination?
This method was simply too crude.
Mas pondered for a moment and selected three herbs of the same level and similar effects according to the method of refining the alchemy potions to give to Brian.
“Warlock Brian, try to use these four materials to make the magic potion you want,” Mas said.
“With just these four materials?” Blake said, stunned.
“That’s right, we’ll use these four materials!” Mas nodded.
Brian took the four materials doubtfully and looked at Blake. Then, he walked to the Warlock’s Platform and began to make them.
Mas watched from the side. When he saw Brian throw these four materials into a burn bottle and add water to distill them with fire, he sighed helplessly.
Witchcraft was indeed a branch of alchemy. The refinement process was really crude.
However, Mas was still a little impressed by these warlocks. They were indeed innovative to be able to invent the distillation pipeline.
After a long wait of two hours, Mas glanced at Brian on the other side and realized that the distillation was finally over.
Brian picked up the small bottle of distilled water and downed it.
Brian’s face lit up with joy. He touched the counter and it instantly froze.
“Alchemist Mas, thank you so much. If it weren’t for your suggestion, I wouldn’t have been able to make this excellent frost mixture,” Brian said happily.
“You’re welcome, Warlock Brian. I’m doing you a favor now. I hope you can help me!”
“I came to the Beast Empire to visit the Spider Mountains. I wonder where the Spider Mountains are?” Mas asked.
“The Spider Mountains?”
“What are you going to do there, Alchemist Mas?”
“I recently heard that a legendary magical beast appeared in the Spider Mountains. It’s extremely ferocious. No one who entered the Spider Mountains came out alive,” Brian said solemnly.
“Legendary magical beast?” Mas frowned slightly when he heard that. He guessed that this legendary magical beast might have been created by the Spider Church. After all, legendary magical beasts were the symbol of strength entering Level 7.
“Alchemist Mas, if you don’t have something important, it’s best that you don’t go to the Spider Mountains.”
“That place is really dangerous!” Brian said again.
Mas naturally appreciated Brian’s good intentions, but he had to go in order to destroy the Spider Church.
“I know my own safety, Warlock Brian. Please tell me the exact location of the Spider Mountains!” Mas said.
“The Spider Mountains is about 200 kilometers east of the Beast Empire.”
After receiving Brian’s answer, Mas did not stay any longer and left.
After leaving the Beast Empire, Mas summoned the Red Crystal Gargoyle and flew eastwards.
Several hours later, Mas arrived at the Spider Mountains.
From the sky, the Spider Mountains looked a little like a hollowed-out spider.
In the middle of the Spider Mountains was a huge basin. There were eight tunnels that led to the depths of the mountain range around the basin.
Mas did not know where the headquarters of the Church of the Spider were. He could only search nearby.
Mas landed in the middle of the Spider Mountains on the Red Crystal Gargoyle.
On the ground, the stones were rugged and bare. Other than some weeds that could be seen through the cracks in the stones, there was no life in the entire Spider Mountains.
After landing in the Spider Mountains, Mas could clearly feel the smell of sulfur in the air.
The smell was not very strong but the smell of sulfur was rather bad. Nevertheless, Mas could still endure it.
Mas looked at the eight roads around him and thought to himself, “No wonder the Spider Church wants to establish itself in the Spider Mountains. I thought it had similar names, but it looks like the Spider Church is ready to flee at any moment!”
Although the eight roads in the Spider Mountains were very far, each road was connected by a narrow path.
If the Spider Church really was in danger of being wiped out, they could rely on the familiar geographical advantage to escape.
Mas’ goal was to wipe out the Spider Church. Otherwise, it would be troublesome if a few escaped.
Mas casually walked in the direction of a road. Now, he could only be confused. There was only one road leading to the Spider Church and it was one in eight.
As they walked down the gravel road, it was eerily quiet.
Apart from the sound of stepping on the gravel, there was no other sound.
This place was like a dead region. There were no creatures here.
However, Mas did not forget what Brian had said.
“A legendary magical beast appeared in the Spider Mountains.”
Mas was looking forward to meeting the legendary magical beast.
If he killed the other party, he could obtain the corpse of a legendary magical beast. If he obtained suitable alchemy materials, it could be refined into a legendary alchemical creature.
Although Mas had a good idea, the Spider Mountains was really huge.
It was not easy to encounter a legendary magical beast in the Spider Mountains.
