Chapter 19
C19 – The Two Families Were Destroyed
“Young Master’s strength?”
The Zhuang family members’ hearts skipped a beat in shock. They had never encountered such a formidable individual. Zhuang Xing, merely at the Spirit Wheel Stage Level One Heaven, possessed strength that exceeded that of the Level Four Heaven. His talent was so rare that not just in the modest Cloud Peak City, but even throughout the entire Great Qi Country, one might not find his equal in a million. If he were to survive without falling prematurely, his future accomplishments would surely be staggering.
Zhuang Dou was particularly overjoyed. For the Zhuang family to produce a prodigy like Zhuang Xing was an incredible stroke of luck.
?”Brat, curb your arrogance! Kill him for me,” Jia Du bellowed with a fierce rage. His sole focus was on eliminating Zhuang Xing, casting all other concerns aside.
At his command, the crowd surged forward to assault Zhuang Xing.
?”If you’re so eager to meet your end, then I shall oblige,” Zhuang Xing declared, as he effortlessly produced a spear in his grasp. It was the Chaos Shocking Spear, a Spirit Treasure gifted by his father, Zhuang Dou. Though modest in rank, it symbolized his father’s heartfelt sentiment, and Zhuang Xing had no intention of refusing it.
Neither Jia Du nor Chai Shi could stand against Zhuang Xing, much less these lesser foes. They were swiftly dispatched, unable to so much as graze Zhuang Xing’s sleeve.
Holding the Chaos Shocking Spear, Zhuang Xing advanced slowly toward Jia Du and Chai Shi, who were paralyzed by fear.
?”Please, don’t kill me,” pleaded Jia Du, quaking with dread. He had never before witnessed such a fearsome Spirit Wheel Stage cultivator and now deeply regretted provoking this demon.
?”Are you pleading with me?” Zhuang Xing asked, looking down upon them with the Chaos Shocking Spear in hand, his presence chilling like the Hell Death God, sending shivers down their spines.
Chai Shi was equally petrified, a terror like none he had ever known coursing from the top of his head to the soles of his feet, beyond description.
“Young Master Xing, this entire affair was instigated by Jia Du. If you must exact vengeance, let it be upon him. I was merely misled by his deceit. I implore you to show mercy.”
Upon hearing his words, everyone felt a wave of revulsion. Chai Shi had reached new depths of shamelessness in his desperation to survive, uttering such disgraceful statements.
Zhuang Xing’s smile was faint, a clear indication that he had never planned to spare these two men. He was far from merciful.
With a swift motion, Zhuang Xing’s Chaos Shocking Spear painted the air with two sprays of blood. Onlookers watched in horror as the heads of Jia Du and Chai Shi were sent soaring, their eyes wide with terror.
A collective gasp swept through the crowd. Jia Du and Chai Shi were influential figures in Cloud Peak City, known for their unrestrained power. Yet now, they had been bested by a mere youth, a fact that seemed beyond belief.
“Father, I’ll leave the affairs of the Jia family and Chai family to you. From this day forward, I wish to never hear those names again,” Zhuang Xing declared.
A shiver ran through everyone as they stared at Zhuang Xing, realizing he was intent on wiping out entire lineages.
“Understood,” came the reply.
It was clear that Zhuang Dou and the rest were still reeling from the shock, their faces frozen in disbelief. It wasn’t entirely their fault; the Zhuang, Chai, and Jia families had been locked in conflict for so long without a clear victor. But now, with Jia Du and Chai Shi slain by Zhuang Xing, their strife had been abruptly concluded.
The eradication of the Chai and Jia families sent shockwaves throughout Cloud Peak City. These families were among the city’s top-tier powers, with strength so formidable that not even a full mobilization of the Zhuang family could have hoped to destroy them.
Yet, what truly astounded everyone was Zhuang Xing, the pivotal figure in this turn of events. He was a household name in Cloud Peak City, not for his valor, but because it took him five years to reach the Qi Refining Stage Level Two Heaven—a level of aptitude considered below that of the average citizen.
But against all odds, Zhuang Xing had managed to defeat Jia Du and Chai Shi. It was as if an ant had transformed into an elephant overnight!
Zhuang Xing, however, remained indifferent to the external chatter. His focus was solely on his cultivation journey.
“Chunri, ensure that no one interrupts me. I’m entering a period of seclusion.”
With those words, Zhuang Xing shut the door, signaling the start of his seclusion. Having acquired the necessary materials, it was time for him to attempt a breakthrough.
He retrieved the materials he had bought from the Spirit Treasure Pavilion from his Storage Ring. These materials were incredibly potent; too much for even a Demonic Beast to handle, much less a human. Zhuang Xing’s intent was to refine them into a Pill.
The Spirit Essence Pill, a Rank Two Pill, was Zhuang Xing’s own creation. This pill played a crucial role in the cultivation of the Imperishable Golden Body Spell.
Other cultivators would immerse these materials in water and then submerge themselves, drawing on the medicinal power of the water to fortify their bodies. This method, however, had two significant drawbacks: it was exceedingly time-consuming to refine such a quantity of materials, and the risk of failure was high due to the materials’ overwhelming energy. A moment’s inattention could lead to failure or even transformation into a monster.
To counter these issues, Zhuang Xing leveraged his expertise to invent the Spirit Essence Pill. He used the Pill Cauldron and fire to temper the materials, eliminating the Berserk Factor and preserving their pure essence.
The task was challenging, but Zhuang Xing was the Pill God, and his Pill Refining Arts were sublime. He swiftly processed all the ingredients and was now ready to begin the actual pill refinement.
Zhuang Xing glanced at the Pill Cauldron, inhaled deeply, and unleashed a potent flame that surged into the cauldron. The temperature climbed to 650 degrees, the optimal heat for crafting the Spirit Essence Pill.
With the temperature finely tuned, Zhuang Xing introduced all the ingredients to the flames.
In a flash, the relentless fire tirelessly smelted the materials.
