Mind Demon's Path of Domination

Chapter 190: Scheme to kill so-many birds with one stone

Chapter 190: Scheme to kill so-many birds with one stone

Mark once again looked down at the battle on the ground from the sky, his covert Soul Sense hiding under the rampant senses of his loyal servant—the Minotaur.

These savages truly are experienced in hunting demons, he thought with a frown. And they are wary of me, there are already some Eye of Heaven looking around. They anticipate my coming.

On the ground, the golden savages surrounded the Minotaur and dodged all its attacks without attacking it back or going too close to it. They were planning to exhaust the Minotaur.

The Minotaur, or any run of the mill Middle Demon for that matter, didn't have infinite Mindpower and the Golden Savages did have something like that.

If they tried to forcefully kill the Middle Demon, the chances of one of them dying was not zero percent, but if they exhausted its Minpower from a distance, the chances of all of them surviving was 100 percent.

"Be wary of that other demon!" a Gold shouted. "I don't know why other demons are appearing who can move out of their Caves, but my gut tells me that this and the other demon have some connection between them."

"You don't have to repeat yourself, Malu. Kill this Minotaur first!"

Mark serenely watched the scene from the skies. The forest the battle was taking place in covered a massive area but in the end, the battle was taking place in a 500-meter field only. It was about the size of five football fields.

Already, the Minotaur was surrounded by multiple Golden Savage battle formations. Beyond the Golds, Silvers created another net using their bodies, too. But in the end, all of those scattered men were inside Mark's Soul Sense.

His Soul Sense could stretch a thousand meters, and as far as it could stretch—his Clown's Circus could work.

And now, all of them, unironically, are already inside my trap.

The space after the five hundred meters, the rest of the five hundred that his Soul Sense could cover, was empty with no savages beyond that point. So, it could be guessed that these were all the Savages around.

It went better than I expected, I guess the unity of Savages as a race went against them this time.

He closed his eyes and created a mental image of every enemy and where to attack best to kill them in the shortest time. Many of them—the Golds—hadn't revealed their Masks, so he would have to turn them into clothes to kill after the Clown's Circus turned off.

And some of them have Glass Dome activated around them at the moment and I can't break it even if time is stopped. So, I will have to attack when no one is defending. Also, according to what I saw earlier, there should be three Savages with the ability to meld with elements and conceal themselves.

He knew where two of them were, one of them had melded into a tree and was using the Eye of Heaven. Another of them had melded into Earth on a different side. Both of them had moved in his senses once already.

But there were three Eye of Heaven in the skies, so where was the third one?

He waited for the perfect moment.

A moment when he understands where that missing Concealment-type Savage was, and a moment when no savage was under the protection of a Glass Dome. He would use Clown's Circus at that point.

The battle below continued for seven more minutes before the Minotaur used its Ultimate Demonic Art, and that was the end for its Mindpower. Exhausted, it began getting barraged from everywhere and Mark sighed.

He had predicted this.

Two Glass Domes are still active…

He looked down coldly.

The Minotaur lost one of its hands, then one of its legs to arrows by the enemy, and right after.

One Glass Domes has been deactivated. One more.

An arrow whistled through the air and the Minotaur's eyes widened. It roared in rage and tore off a tree before throwing it at the enemy arrow, but the arrow pierced through the wood and expanded in its vision. It felt sharp air touch its forehead even before the arrow had made contact.

Both Glass Domes are deactivated, yet the third concealed savage is missing still. Whatever, I will kill him after I kill everyone else. It's not worth sacrificing the Minotaur for a concealment savage.

The arrow stopped—froze—in the air an inch away from the Minotaur's forehead. Every Golden Savage, with their varying expressions, also came to a grinding halt. Silver Savages, masked and faceless, was the same as all of them came to a….

Sudden stop.

The world was a circus, every living being a clown puppeteered by the threads of destiny. And now, for a short 30 seconds—all things 1000 meters around Mark had stopped. Time had stopped.

30 seconds.

Mark moved like a shadow through the clouded forest and touched one Golden Savage after the other with his hand and one after the other Alchemic Shapeshifting ran rampant. The masked Gold Lords all had their mask broken, lives taken.

The ones with hidden masks all turned into clothes.

Mark's fist punched a hole into someone's chest, legs decapitated another's head. His wings, too, stole the lives of Silver Savages en mass. Head after head, heart after heart, mask after mask—he destroyed them all with the highest efficiency, the quickest move.

Alchemic Shapeshifting!

Punch!

Alchemic Shapeshifting!

Wing slash!

12 seconds remained.

Yet, all were dead.

Mark felt blood trickle from all over his body and stood up straight. Only he moved in this vacuum of time, only he could create consequences with his actions where time was absent. He didn't waste time and flew around in a circle around the affected area of Clown's Circus while searching for anyone who might have seen the event from outside its influence.

Nobody was there.

Clown's Circus was near an end and Mark landed beside the Minotaur, then simply pushed aside the stopped arrow in the air.

Time continued.

The arrow crashed into a tree in the distance and splinters exploded. The tens upon tens of savage bodies, all standing, slumped onto the floor one after the other. All dead, or turned to clothes.

The Lord of Savages was confused. Using his Wood Meld, he had concealed himself as a tree since the beginning of the battle and now, the Minotaur was nearly dead. He was waiting for that more intelligent demon to act.

He was ready.

He would attack one or two Golds when the Minotaur is near death, that is, if he is linked to this Minotaur whatsoever. Or does he have some other deeper intentions?

He watched the battle intensely and soon enough, the Minotaure exhausted itself.

It will die.

He blinked, and then suddenly, all of his savages were falling.

Uh?

Hammumma, he fell.

Juana, she was bloodied, her mask cracked and her eyes gauged.

Everyone…

He subconsciously walked out of the concealment with a face marred by horror. In the middle of it all, a demon with purplish skin stood with a bloodied body and a disgustingly malicious aura.

Everyone…

What… just happened?

Ah, Malu, she… her smell is coming from that cloth. Malga, he is… dead. And ah, ah!

ARGHHH!

"De—Demon, what have you done?!"

Mark whirled around, then jumped back multiple steps. His gaze grew grim and wary. This—he is strong.

The man ambled towards one of the cloth-turned-savage and gently took it up with a warped face. "De—Demon, I can sense Malu is still alive. I can sense it, yet, my Healing doesn't work on her. This cloth, where is my Malu?"

Mark looked at the man with forced, but utter calm.

"She is alive, and in this world, no, in all worlds, only I can save her."

The man turned and looked at Mark with eyes that seemed to have lost all light in the world.

"What about the rest?"

Mark sneered, but the blood that ran throughout his body was enough to answer.

"You killed them. This was a trap. You killed, tens, nearly hundreds of silvers and more than twenty Golds…"

A cruel savagery rose from the mountain of a man.

Just as Mark was about to reply, he felt his ears buzz and his senses blur.

Uh? I have been punched across the air?

He slammed into a dirty puddle and rolled, the hamster—out of all great luck—had somehow survived and was wheezing inside his robes. Mark opened his mouth but his jaws broke and blood leaked down his mouth.

My jaw is destroyed.

"That hamster, you'd have died if I killed it, right?" the man asked and walked towards Mark, the cloth on his back flying like a bloody cape. "I can't have you dying on me, now, can I?"

Mark chuckled, touching his jaws and healing it with Alchemic Shapeshifting.

"There was a monster like you among the Savages, no wonder the demons couldn't conquer this world."

The man was indifferent to the praise and Mark could see cold, utter hatred in his eyes. He looked calm outwardly but inwardly, he was running all sorts of thought simulations.

With the hamster as a weakness in this battle, if I fight him, I am completely sure I will die. The chance of me running away with my life is not high, either. He already saw through my weakness, if he aims at the hamster, it will be over.

There is only one way.

Mark stood up and they both faced each other.

The man said indifferently, heart-wrenching hatred in his tone, "Today, you will pay for all that you did. Do not think you will be allowed to leave because you are the only one who could save them—if you leave, I will catch you and torture you till you heal them all. You have no escape today."

Mark could see tears running down the man's eyes.

A life-or-death battle.

Tear-filled, the man rubbed his face with the cloth and gently put it away.

"Demon, you truly have no justice in your heart. I wanted to speak to you before I decided whether to kill you or not, but now, there is nothing more hateful in this world to me than… you."

Mark licked his lips, mind searching for a way to victory.

With the hamster by my side, I will die. Then, I just have to use another alternative way of hiding from the World Will instead of my Dungeon Heart Seed ability.
