Chapter 96 Michaela Proposal?
Chapter 96 Michaela Proposal?
?
Sylvana, their new daughter, glanced at Daniel, her father, and then directed her attention to her mother, who had a wide-eyed expression of shock on her face. She couldn't contain her amusement and giggled aloud, playfully pointing at her mother's open mouth.
"Mommy's mouth is so big!" the mischievous little girl exclaimed, finding it utterly endearing. This brought a wave of embarrassment to Wrath, who was supposed to be her mother.
"Don't tease your mom too much, Sylvana." Daniel said with a little bit of admonishment in his tone, causing Wrath to blush even more with embarrassment.
After a brief moment of embarrassment, Wrath collected her thoughts.
"So, it's not because you studied and used the 'Woundshifter' curse on her. Instead, it's because you summoned her and the contract bound her to you. That's what the contract does—it allows her to protect you. And if she makes a mistake, your injuries will transfer to her to ensure she doesn't violate the contract," Wrath concluded, her worry still evident in her eyes.
"But the contract works both ways. What do you need to do for her to serve you?" Wrath asked her boyfriend, seeking clarification.
Daniel contemplated lying, but as he looked at Michaela, he realized that lying might make her uncomfortable, and it could unintentionally reflect on her face. Wrath would undoubtedly catch on, and she would never stop asking or trying to uncover the truth. Daniel preferred to keep the sources of his power a secret, as explaining it to others would be troublesome, and he wanted to prevent anyone from discovering how to stop him from using this power.
Michaela gazed at her lord, offering a smile before turning to address Wrath.
"His obligation is to create a place that serves as a beacon of hope, a paradise on Earth, offering shelter to the oppressed. Until that happens, I will always assist him, stay by his side, and take care of him for the rest of my life," Michaela stated.
Hearing Michaela's words, Wrath was stunned. She knew that angels never lied, and as she looked at Daniel, she realized the enormity of the task ahead. But as Michaela's sentence drew to a close, it almost sounded like a marriage proposal.
"Oh, Danny, that's quite a tall order if you ask me. You have your work cut out for you," Wrath exclaimed.
Daniel, who had heard Michaela's words, also knew that angels, especially archangels, never lied. Did this mean he had to fulfill what Michaela had stated?
Beep! Beep! Beep!
While Daniel was still pondering Michaela's words, the sound of his ringing phone interrupted his thoughts. He swiftly picked it up and checked the caller ID, which indicated it was from the Veneziale estate.
"Hello?" Daniel answered.
"Mr. Magitek, there are a lot of people waiting for you at the guest house on our estate. They expressed their desire to meet with you and Miss Wrath. What should we do?" The Veneziale's men asked respectfully.
Upon hearing this, Daniel recalled Greed's words about returning on the morning of the third day.
"I see. Is Miss Greed among them?" he inquired.
"Yes, Mr. Magitek. Miss Greed is one of the guests," the Veneziale employee confirmed.
"Thank you. I'll make my way there quickly. Treat them as VIP guests until I arrive," Daniel commanded.
"Understood, Mr. Magitek," the Veneziale's men acknowledged before ending the call.
"Koyuki, Miss Greed is waiting for us. We should get ready. Let me inform the doctor that you'll be discharged earlier," Daniel said to his girlfriend.
"Where are you going, Papa and Mama? Can Sylvana come with you?" little Sylvana asked innocently.
Witnessing the adorable face of her daughter, Wrath couldn't help but break into a fond smile.
"Of course, you can come with us!" Wrath replied, lifting her daughter above her head in a playful manner.
"Yayyyyy!" Sylvana exclaimed joyfully, while her father, Daniel, prepared to leave the room to inform the doctor about their early discharge.
__________
— Veneziale Estate —
At the Veneziale Estate, the majestic headquarters of the Veneziale mafia, the unmistakable green roof stood as an emblem synonymous with those seeking to engage in business with them. Enclosed by towering walls, the estate exuded an air of exclusivity and impregnable security. Diligent gang members patrolled both the interior and exterior, ensuring the safety of the compound.
Stepping into the estate, visitors were greeted by a sprawling expanse of vibrant green lawn, enticing them to leisurely wander along its meticulously maintained pathways. Nestled within this verdant oasis, a small garden bloomed, adorned with an enchanting artificial waterfall that gently cascaded, bestowing a tranquil ambiance upon the surroundings.
On the vast green lawn, a gang member of lower rank in the hierarchy clutched a small basket brimming with fresh carrots, his eyes fixed on a spirited white rabbit bounding joyfully across the expanse.
"Cotton! Please stop jumping around! Your owner will be here soon!" The gang member's voice was a mix of fatigue and urgency as he half-ran, half-walked, tirelessly pursuing the energetic rabbit. He longed for a moment's rest, but his responsibility to care for the esteemed pets of higher-ranking members prevented him from indulging. The relentless vigor with which the rabbit bounded, showing no signs of tiring or slowing down, left him deeply frustrated, though he dared not voice his exasperation, knowing his place as a mere lackey within the gang.
At that moment, a sleek black luxury car glided through the entrance gates of the estate, coming to a graceful stop in front of the main building. The car door swung open, and the eager rabbit bounded toward the newcomer stepping out.
A silver-haired woman clad in a pristine white suit swiftly snatched the joyous rabbit from mid-air, deftly cradling it in her arms before placing it atop her head, where the rabbit obediently settled, resembling a living accessory. This woman was none other than Michaela, who had entrusted the care of her beloved pet rabbit, Cotton, to the Veneziale gang.
Daniel emerged from the car, dressed impeccably in a black suit, accompanied by Wrath, donning her customary leather jacket and jeans. To their side stood a young girl, no older than five, whom Daniel scooped up tenderly before they made their way toward the main estate.
Witnessing this scene unfold, the diligent lackey who had been trailing behind Cotton hastened to approach Michaela, presenting her with a basket of carrots. With gratitude, Michaela accepted the offering, expressing her thanks before following her lord into the guest house of the Veneziale estate.
Within the opulent confines of the guest house's common room, an ambiance of grandeur enveloped the space, setting the stage for the arrival of the revered VVIP guests cherished by the esteemed Veneziale gang. The room exuded an air of sophistication, with walls adorned in lush vine motifs, intertwining and cascading like nature's own artwork.
The centerpiece of the room was a magnificent dining table, adorned with elegant tableware and crystal glassware. Each place setting was meticulously arranged, awaiting the arrival of the distinguished guests. The tantalizing aroma of the culinary masterpieces prepared by a renowned Michelin-star chef wafted through the air, teasing the senses and hinting at the delectable feast that awaited.
The dessert spread was a sight to behold, a true testament to luxury and indulgence. Every confection was crafted with precision and artistry, using the finest ingredients sourced from around the world. From delicate pastries adorned with edible gold leaf to decadent chocolate creations that melted in the mouth, each dessert was a symphony of flavors designed to please even the most discerning palates.
Don Ardito Veneziale's commitment to hospitality and the utmost level of service was evident in every detail of the common room. From the lavish decor to the exquisite culinary delights, the ambiance exuded an unwavering dedication to ensuring the VVIP guests felt truly pampered and esteemed.
Seeing the breathtaking sight before him, Daniel couldn't help but be amazed at how seriously Ardito had taken his words. The level of luxury and opulence displayed in the guest common room surpassed anything he, as a former ordinary person, could have ever dreamed of.
"Danny... your people really go all out!" Wrath exclaimed, her eyes wide with astonishment as she took in the extravagant scene within the guest house.
"Ohhhh! Cake! Cake! Cake!" The mischievous little Sylvana, nestled in Daniel's arms, squealed with excitement as her eyes locked onto the array of delectable and extravagant desserts spread out on the long table. Her tiny hands twitched, yearning to dive into the tempting treats. If Daniel didn't have a firm grip on her, she might have pounced on the desserts without hesitation.
"Koyuki, can you take Sylvana to have some cake? Just make sure she brushes her teeth afterward, okay?" Daniel directed his request toward Wrath, who was still in awe of Don Veneziale's extravagant display.
"Sure, will you be joining us?" she inquired.
"Of course, but have you seen Miss Greed anywhere? She should be around here," Daniel asked, his gaze scanning the hall in search of the guest who should be awaiting him and Wrath.
