Chapter 34: 21: A Distant Dream (Thanks to the Alliance Hierarch Xiao Ya who also wants to sleep today)_2
"Why call me?" Hexia lowered her head, she should've been dead, right?
"I don't know either," said the woman as she walked down from the windowsill and took Hexia's hand, leading her over to her side.
"Look at the scenery outside."
Within the tranquil boudoir, there was a large red and soft comfortable bed, a beautifully crafted vanity mirror, and a pretty, pleated-skirt gown. But none of these held as much appeal to the blonde woman as that small window that looked out onto fields of flowers and grass.
Under the unbelievably blue sky, white, light blue, orange-red, tender yellow, and flowers of every color bloomed in the wild. Young blades of grass also swayed in the breeze, and the sunshine illuminated the earth, making the flowers and grass within view more delicate and touching.
"Do you like watching scenes like this?"
"I like it," Hexia nodded; her mind, originally full of various anxieties, began to settle calmly.
The two sat by the windowsill, watching that sea of flowers from day until the sunset bathed everything in its afterglow.
"It's really nice, thank you for watching the scenery with me for so long," the blonde woman spoke again.
After speaking, this Elvish woman gently hugged Hexia, and the light fragrance that came from her was like being in that field of flowers and grass outside the window.
Letting go, the figure of the blonde woman slowly started to phase, becoming like dots of light drifting towards the world outside the window.
"Are you leaving?" Hexia suddenly felt a bit sad watching the blonde woman dissipate.
"Mm, don't be sad. Actually, I've been gone for quite some time, but to meet you during the remnants of lingering light is also a kind of happiness and comfort."
The words lingered by her ear, but the world before her eyes blurred, much like amber, and Hexia felt an overwhelming sleepiness, and then she slept deeply.
...
Awakening once again.
Upon opening her eyes, Hexia realized she was in space, looking down at a breathtakingly beautiful planet through a massive translucent metallic window beside her.
Even though the planet loomed large in her view, relative to the endless dark expanse of space, it was so tiny. Within it, the clouds rolled, and countless shuttlecraft could be faintly seen making their way back and forth between the planet and the space station.
The current time was displayed within the translucent metallic crystal.
[Sixth Era 862 Year December 3rd, Rose Federation - Moon Gate Star Domain - A1-2031 (White Moon), 3:25:16 AM]
Was that a scene from over four hundred years ago? Whose dream have I entered to witness such a distant and clear memory?
Hexia surveyed the room's environment. The room was divided into two levels, the upper level housing the bed and study, and the lower level, the living room. One side of the room was a wall, and the opposite was the transparent metal, offering a direct view of the space outside.
After several attempts pressing the button beside the door, Hexia managed to open it and walked out.
Unlike the previous deserted castle amidst flowers, people were occasionally passing in the corridor. Some wore crisp work uniforms, others military attire, all hurried, while broadcasts also reported recent news from time to time.
[Serpens Star Domain still refuses peace talks, the Northern Star Region's fleet has suffered grievous losses. The Third Fleet, the Ninth Fleet, the Twelfth Fleet, disband their numbers; the remaining personnel are to be integrated into the Eighth Fleet and retreat to the Federal Southern Star Region.]
[The new 'Sighing Dragon' class Battleship completes its maiden voyage test in the Calcite Star Domain. If it passes inspection, it will become the next main force of the Federation.]
[The Fourth Fleet and Sixth Fleet dispatched from the Western Star Region will arrive in 678 Stellar Time, including 7,893 'Odysseus' class Battleships, 35,729 'Paradise' class Carriers, 89,214 'Bloodbird' class Cruisers, and about 420,000 'Windsheild', 'Cross-spear', and 'Star-chaser' class Destroyers.]
[Rebels are still holding the central Twin Trees Star Domain, Emerald Moon Star Domain, and Yong Lan Star Domain. We must crush them within 26 months, otherwise, it will cause irreparable damage to the integrity of the Federation.]
[Negotiations with the Sigma Council have concluded. We will sign a non-aggression pact with the Sigma Council in 241 Stellar Time. Despite being the inheritors of the Mechanical Council's will, their path diverges greatly from ours, yet they are still trustworthy. This is also the last legacy passed down from the Fifth Epoch to the Federation.]
Listening to these historical events, Hexia walked through corridors and halls. Not a single person in this place could see her as if she were invisible.
It must be some kind of dream, Hexia thought she continued down the corridor, passing through the structures within the space, occasionally seeing people moving quickly through the space station on floating boards.
Suddenly, urgent footsteps sounded from an exit. Then, dozens of soldiers clad in deep blue exoskeleton armor burst out. They used their back-mounted thrusters to move swiftly through the station, continuously firing their Branded Rifles; blue torpedo-shaped Energy Bullets shot across the space, shattering workers into fragments.
Blood mist spread everywhere, gunfire filled the area. After the attack commenced, station guards hurried over. They wore special silver Light Armor with deep purple circular goggles and butterfly-like wings on their backs. These Fairy-like beings wielded crimson reflux-type Light Sabers, flashing tirelessly as they rapidly cut down the invading enemies within the station.
The commotion was quickly subdued, and afterward, a general with a full complement of gold Heavy Armored Troops secured a room. After a long time, shielded by layers of Light Shields and barriers, a blue-haired woman emerged.
