Chapter 108 - Couple's Fight
Chapter 108 - Couple's Fight
"I have developed an interest in you? Haha...," Jasmine burst into a peal of deafening laughter. Jackson could not understand why she was laughing.
"I can see that you are dreaming and I suggest you wake up from your slumber," Jasmine said as she tried to suppress her laughter.
"Since you did not agree or refuse my request I will take your response as a YES then," Jasmine said before she walked out of the dining room.
"You laughed because you think can never fall in love with me but just wait Jasmine, I will prove you wrong," Jackson said with determination before he began eating the food she prepared for him.
Twenty minutes later Jasmine who was adorned in a short red sleeveless dress descends the stairs.
Jackson was sitting on the couch facing the stairs staring at her keenly. He could not take his eyes off her. He gulp hard when she flipped her long black hair backwards to expose her long neckline.
"I know I am prettier, sexier and more gorgeous looking than your girlfriend but stop ogling because I tend to get very excited each time you stare at me like that," Jasmine descending the stairs said with radiant smiles on her face. Her smile looked harmless but the effect it had on Jackson was immense.
"Why are you so certain that you are prettier, sexier and more gorgeous looking than her...,"
"Because that is the damn truth and I would say that to her face if she was here," Jasmine said with confidence. Her confidence and shamelessness was something no lady could outcompete her with, Jackson was so sure of that.
"She is you...,"
"I am leaving now. I will make sure my maid delivers the exact type of dress to you tomorrow," Jasmine now standing in front of Jackson interrupted him sharply.
"Let me drop you off," Jackson said as he made to stand up.
"You are neither my lover, friend or my driver so why should you bother to do that and besides I came with my car," Jasmine said nonchalantly dashing Jackson's hope without even realising it.
"We can be friends right?" Jackson asked seeing that she wanted to walk away.
"Sorry but I don't want to be friends with you," Jasmine said bluntly to the despair of the already unhappy Jackson.
"You are friends with Jeff and Steve right so why don't you want us to become friends?" Jackson asked impatiently.
"I am friends with Steve and Jeff because they are fun to be with. They might be a little annoying when they talk a lot but despite that I still like them. I said I found your iciness cute but you tend to lose that cuteness when you act exactly like you are doing now," Jasmine said as she focused all her attention on his face.
"I have always pretended to like you but now that you are not with my precious contract I don't have to pretend anymore," Jasmine said carefreely before she walked towards the entrance which also serves as the exit. Jasmine was oblivious of how hurtful her words left him.
"Everything that occurred between us might have been all a pretence to you but there was no moment I wasn't sincere to you. I love you, Jasmine Avans and that is the entire truth," Jackson murmured after she has left.
When Jasmine reached the bar she was so surprised to see that Alfred was already there, nonetheless, she did not fail to do all that was on her mind.
They drank and did all manner of naughty things until it was late into the night.
The next morning Jasmine woke up only to be welcomed with a severe headache. When her eyes got familiar with the environment she was surprised to see that she was not in her mansion but after examining the surroundings more, she became more relaxed when she knew that she was in safe hands.
Despite that her head was hurting badly Jasmine still climbed out of bed and staggered out of the room. When she did not see the person she was searching for in the sitting room. she took slow and steady steps towards the direction of the kitchen.
"Cat, why did...," Jasmine who just entered the kitchen paused when she realised that there was someone else there apart from Catherine.
"Uncle Qin, good morning," Jasmine greeted in a soft tone. Uncle Quin a man who was in his early fifties, a Chinese man by descent rushed to meet Jasmine.
"Daughter why are you out of bed already? Go and get some more rest Catherine will call after we are done preparing breakfast," The man who had some traces of grey hairs said as he supported her by holding her right hand.
"Uncle, I am fine so you don't have to worry about me," Jasmine who has seen this each time Uncle Qin visits them but could not get used to the man's gentleness towards her said.
Although she has a father and a mother she has never felt so loved whenever she was with them compare with when she was with him. The man has always treated her like his daughter. Each time he was around he doesn't fail to make sure she was comfortable. He was not like her parents who if do not scold her forces her to do one thing or the other each time they meet or gather for a family outing.
Whenever Uncle Qin was around she always feels a sense of warmth. She has always told herself that this is how a family suppose to be unlike theirs.
"Jasmine, just do like Dad wants or I will end up being blamed for not taking good care of you," Catherine who was stirring something on the stove said meekly.
"But that is the truth. If you had taken good care of her you wouldn't have allowed her to drink so much," Uncle Qin said.
"Dad, you are talking as if you don't know how uncontrollable that daughter of yours is whenever she is drunk. And Dad, you can't blame me for the terrible state you met Jasmine because she forbade me from following her. You can ask her if you think that I am lying," Catherine said as she lowered the temperature of the gas cooker.
"What are you saying, Cat? I am innocent of all your accusations," Jasmine quickly denied as she avoided staring at Catherine whom she knew might be glaring daggers at her at the moment. After so many minutes of coaxing, Uncle Qin allowed Jasmine to join them in preparing the meal. While cooking the two naughty friends did not fail to play and Uncle Qin who loves seeing them smile did not scold them but instead join in the fun. Because of their playing, they ended up spending more time preparing their breakfast.
While the happy family of three were preparing to have their breakfast, a young man of 30 years old who had left the company the previous night only to arrive at his mansion was greeted by the sight of a young beautiful lady sitting on the milky colour couch with her legs crossed. The angry expression on her face was visible but he just decided to ignore her since he did not want to fight with her that early morning. The lady who pretended that she did not see him spoke up when she saw that he had reached the foot of the stairs.
"Isn't always being so affectionate towards her enough? Did you have to spend the night at her mansion to announce to the entire universe that it is my little sister you like. And did you come home looking so dishevelled just to rub it on my face?" The lady asked with a tone filled with so much rage and resentment.
"I know Jasmine might have satisfied you in a way no other woman has ever done since she is nothing but a cheap wh*re but did you have to come back home looking so messy?" Elizabeth asked angrily as she let her eyes trailed from his messy hair to his roughed shirt. Seeing her husband who spent the night outside look like this further fuelled her anger for her sister.
"Liza, how could you say such an outrageous thing about your sister? I know in wealthy families, there is always no intimacy between siblings but I never expected you to say that about your sister who cares so much about you. Even though the entire world might be pointing fingers at her and calling her all manner of despicable names I expected you to act differently," Alfred who has always ignored Elizabeth each time she picks a quarrel with him said in annoyance. He could not stand Elizabeth slanderous words.
"Did she tell you she loves me when you were f*cking her last night?" Elizabeth asked angrily. The maids who were at their assigned position cleaning dare not show their faces when their masters were quarrelling.
