Chapter 134 Start Of The Expedition
Chapter 134 Start Of The Expedition
?Having Griselda labeled him as some devil schemer, Lei Zhen only shrugged his shoulders in response.
Not admitting or denying the fact that he was a hard schemer that leaves his opponent with no options, to begin with.
In his mind, the secret deal with the Lizardarks was considered to be an equivalent exchange.
What Lei Zhen wanted is the apprehension of the black mage, and what the Lizardark wanted is their habitat back and to become the king of the swamp.
So long as the Lizardark does not have any intention of invading Yors Castle, there would be no conflict of interest once the deal was completed.
"To achieve your goal, there are things that one must do even if it's a difficult choice. Otherwise, don't bother having a goal from the start." Lei Zhen commented, his gaze staring at the scenery outside of the office's window.
"Over on my desk, there is a paper about the plan I just wrote, so memorize them with Tie Longkun." He added.
Griselda didn't reply and grabbed the paper on the desk.
It was a list of to-do things and how she and Tie Longkun would be deployed.
Despite the casualness of how he said he just wrote it, Griselda was astonished by the explicit details being written and accounted for any type of scenarios that could or might happen.
'No wonder why he became the Chancellor while other players can't even dream of having a noble rank higher than a baron. This guy is just a bookworm to the brim.' She thought to herself.
Sometime later, Griselda and Tie Longkun began studying their movement by the table whereas Lei Zhen messed with the system prompts.
'Hmm, so this is where this function was located.' Lei Zhen thought, glancing at the Livestream tab.
Throughout this time, he had been pondering whether or not to Livestream for some extra cash.
And although the risk would increase further for his identity to be at risk, the Magnolia built-in Livestream function prevented players from figuring out who he is as long as they wanted to remain anonymous.
The only way for players to figure out the identity of the streamer was if the streamer exposed itself with its usual movement or action recognizable by others.
However, that was a factor that could be ruled out since no one had ever seen how he played. Not to mention, his crowd control skills weren't some unique skills, but actually quite common in other mage classes or subclasses.
"If I utilize my cards correctly and this becomes a large-scale expedition, then that would definitely attract viewers." He muttered, trying to come up with a flashy and catchy scenery.
Magnolia players live streaming their play wasn't uncommon and was in fact immensely popular.
To gain a foothold in the live stream platform, Lei Zhen needed to do something that no player had ever done throughout the 4 years since the game was out.
It just so happened that no players had managed to utilize a country's army to complete a mission. Money and fame were something he needed to gain from scratch, and the live-streaming method could help him out.
While thinking about that, Lei Zhen secretly made a glance at Griselda and Tie Longkun.
'I don't know if I'm unlucky or lucky given my crap starts to the game, but this isn't bad either. One is a famous goddess celebrity known to the public and the other is someone who people regard as a bane but is a powerful swordsman. What a great gimmick this will be when we combine them both into a single video.' He thought, tapping his finger repeatedly on the table.
p?nd?`no??1--?o? Live streaming was a difficult topic to tackle for someone like him, so Lei Zhen didn't know if this would be a great choice or not.
In the end, Lei Zhen didn't dare to risk the unknown factor and decided to simply record the gameplay for future use.
'The live streaming is simply too competitive and if I just hopped in without preparation, then I'll probably be devoured alive by those streamers.'
Shaking his head, Lei Zhen brushed aside this topic and waited patiently for the setup to be done.
Time slowly passed by, and finally, Howard came in with great news.
"Chancellor, the armies are ready and there seems to be a Lizardark monster at the entrance of Yors Castle. The soldiers were going to kill it to eliminate the threat, but it said that he was conveying a message to you." Howard reported.
"Wonderful, make sure the soldiers don't harm the Lizardark. It's a very important chess piece." Lei Zhen calmly said.
Howard nodded his head in response and left the office.
There was no need for Lei Zhen to explain further what he needed to do.
Given Howard was a clever man, it was clear that he knew what Lei Zhen wanted to do.
"Looks like we are finally ready for the main clause, right?" Griselda interjected once Howard left.
"Indeed, we have waited for a while already." Lei Zhen replied.
"Hehe, my sword has been rotting in the corner for a while. I'm ready for the fight at any time." Tie Longkun added, patting the scabbard of his sword.
"I don't mind if you want to fight, but you can only fight when I permit it, Tie Longkun." Lei Zhen warned sternly.
A chill ran down his spine when he heard the stern tone of Lei Zhen as he nodded his head vigorously.
"Of course, the guild leader is the boss. I'll be ready whenever you want me to fight." Tie Longkun laughingly said and laid back on the couch.
Lei Zhen nodded his head
As long as Tie Longkun understands and doesn't behave rashly, then all is well.
After all, he would not allow a single mistake to occur on his side when he made so much preparation.
"Let's go, this is the start of the expedition once we meet with the messenger of the Lizardark." Lei Zhen said, standing up and leaving the office.
