Chapter 128: Dark Moon, Windy Night for Killing
Fike was leading the four professors as they rushed to Fu Shou Village.
On the other side of the capital, the 10,000 elites led by their General, Brad, had all been stationed at the city gates as well.
Lan Xi stood protected in the middle of the army, pacing back and forth anxiously.
The moon was full tonight, and the wind blew against the leaves, making rustling sounds.
“It’s a dark and windy night!”
Fike commented listlessly.
Finally, the group saw the light from the village in the distance.
By now, the place had been overrun by lackeys donning the uniforms of the Heavenly King’s Palace.
Fike quickly divided them into two teams.
He, Cisco, and Thor would take the responsibility of baiting Zakaithus.
Casey and Iamas were left with the task to spread news of the attack.
After the two teams went their separate ways, Fike and his two compatriots immediately leapt into action.
They were already dressed in sleek black robes, just like Fike had worn on his last visit to the Fu Shou Inn.
As the trio arrived at the entrance of the hotel, they were stopped by the guards from the Heavenly King’s Palace.
“What are you doing?”
The guard asked.
“Stupid slave!”
Fike pretended to curse.
“I am the messenger from the Evil God’s Headquarters! Hurry up and inform your master, Zakaithus!”
After hearing Fike’s words, the guard’s tone immediately became more respectful.
He continued to ask.
“Do you have a token that proves your identity from the Evil God’s Headquarters?”
Noticing the guard’s vigilance, Fike took out the evil blade.
“Zakaithus has asked me to improve his weapon. Do you not recognize his personal blade?”
Seeing the sleek black tachi, the guard quickly bowed his head.
“So you really are the messenger from the Evil God’s Headquarters! Apologies for the disrespect! Come with me!”
The guard led the three upstairs.
After escorting them into the elevator, the guard left.
As they ascended to the familiar 18th floor again, Fike’s palms started to clam up slightly. Seeing that Fike seemed a little nervous, Cisco reassured him.
“Relax! Our strength is enough to kill Zakaithus!”
With a ding, the elevator had arrived at the 18th floor, and the trio stepped out before knocking at the door.
Zakaithus’ attendant, Saru, opened it.
“Sir Zakaithus! The distinguished guest from before is here!”
Zakaithus, who was sitting in the room, raised his head. When he saw Fike, he greeted him politely.
“Saru! You go on out first. I want to have a good talk with this lord!”
Saru obediently left the room.
Fike brought Cisco and Thor to take their seats.
Without waiting for Zakaithus to speak, Fike opened his mouth first.
“Brother! As you know, I initially planned to go back to the Evil God’s Headquarters to help you refine the quality of this evil blade! What a pity! Sigh…”
Seeing Fike’s troubled expression, Zakaithus asked.
“Big brother, could it be that you’ve encountered some difficulties? Just tell me, if there’s anything I can help you with, just let me know!”
Seeing that Zakaithus had indeed taken the bait, Fike continued his ruse.
“There are too many eyes here, why don’t you follow us out? Let’s find a quieter place with no one around!”
Zakaithus immediately understood the meaning of Fike’s words.
He picked up a teacup in his hand before swiftly throwing it at the door, blowing the door open.
Saru staggered and fell to the ground, his eavesdropping discovered.
He apologized profusely.
“My Lord, I was wrong! I didn’t mean to eavesdrop on your conversation! I was just curious about what you were talking about. Please let me off this time!”
Zakaithus didn’t want to kill off his attendant just over this, so he turned to Fike instead.
“Big brother, I’m sorry I didn’t manage my men well. Let’s head out now! What do you think?”
Zakaithus got up and left the inn along with Fike and the other two, who brought him out to the outskirts of the village.
“Big brother! What’s going on? Why are you being so mysterious?”
Seeing that everything was almost ready, Fike, Cisco, and Thor turned around and addressed the man with a smile.
“Brother! I’ll tell you a secret! Come, come here!”
Zakaithus leaned in closer to put his ear at Fike’s mouth.
“Big brother! I didn’t hear you, say it louder!”
Fike laughed and suddenly shouted at the top of his lungs.
“Okay! Actually! I’m not a member of the Evil God’s Headquarters at all! You’ve been deceived! Hahahaha!”
Just as he was finished speaking, he gestured for the two professors beside him to escape.
Zakaithus was frozen, and could only react after he watched the three figures darting into the night.
“Damn it! This kid actually dared to toy with me! I knew there was something fishy about his reply when I invited him to join the Heavenly King’s Palace!
“I didn’t expect that I, the Head of the Northern Headquarters of the Heavenly King’s Palace, Zakaithus, would be played by a little kid!”
The man immediately chased after Fike, following the three figures into the woods just outside the Imperial Capital of Rowei.
At this time, Fike and the other two had already come to a stop.
“Return the evil blade to me now, and I’ll leave your corpse intact!”
Zakaithus roared angrily.
“You want the evil blade? Then let’s see what you can do!”
Fike replied contemptuously.
Suddenly, Zakaithus descended from the sky, and Fike felt a sharp, piercing pain in his head.
He immediately activated the Summoning Determination skill and found that his condition improved a lot.
Zakaithus stared at the three people standing casually before him in disbelief.
“Why aren’t you guys affected by my pressure?”
Fike responded with a menacing smile.
“Take your questions with you to hell!”
Without waiting for Zakaithus to grasp the situation, a crimson red blood moon descended directly onto his head.
Meanwhile, Cisco had also procured out a piece of paper which bound the man’s feet as Thor raised his longsword, charging straight at Zakaithus.
Zakaithus could only face the ferocious attacks head-on.
He spat out a mouthful of blood.
“With a brain like yours, you wanted to rule over the entire Lieluo Empire?”
Fike mocked.
Zakaithus retorted stubbornly.
“If you hadn’t stolen away my weapon, would I have failed? If you want to kill me, then do it! Don’t bother spouting so much nonsense!”
By now, the blood moon had already descended.
Fike had deliberately held back a little of his power, causing only half of Zakaithus’ body to be frozen.
“Tell me! What is the purpose of the Evil God’s Headquarters? What kind of dispute do you have against the main hall of the Heavenly King’s Palace?”
Zakaithus closed his eyes, and did not look like he intended to say a word.
Seeing that, Fike continued.
“In such a desperate situation, you have two choices. Either you say it, and we can still give you a quick death, otherwise…”
Zakaithus cut him short.
“Hahahahaha! It’s useless! Even if you kill me, this kingdom will soon experience earth-shaking changes!”
“Are you talking about the Heavenly King’s Palace’s rebellion in the North Mountain’s auditorium, or the coup of the three princes?”
Fike asked with a smile.
Zakaithus stared back at him, his eyes wide in disbelief.
“How… How do you know?”
