Chapter 88: Cazino, Son of the Gale
Fike walked onto the stage with Cazino following closely behind.
The new competitor was quite handsome in his own right, but was nothing compared to Fike.
Cazino spoke to Fike as they stepped up on the stage.
“Fike, I heard that you’re very strong. Please show mercy later.”
Hearing Cazino’s somewhat weak-willed words, Fike simply smiled.
“Okay, I will fulfill your wish.”
The audience in the arena, including the other schools’ stands, erupted into a cacophony of cheers.
“Fike versus Cazino, a battle between two strong experts to determine the number one of the Spell School!”
“Lord Fike, please do your best! Crush Cazino!”
“Hey hey hey, you can’t say that just because Fike is handsome!”
“What does it have to do with you? I’d just like to side with Lord Fike, what can you do about it?”
Hearing the similar consensus of countless students, Fike’s face revealed a happy but awkward expression.
Meanwhile, on the rostrum of the Spell School, a clear voice sounded.
“Professor Maggie, do you think that Fike can still win against our class’s Cazino this time?”
The person who spoke was a young and beautiful female teacher, Queena.
Maggie looked at the slightly provocative Queena and said with a serious look in her eyes.
“In terms of strength, Cazino doesn’t seem to even be qualified to be Fike’s opponent!”
The two women looked to be in a deadlock with each other. Queena spoke again.
“Just you wait, Maggie. Open your eyes wide and watch how Fike loses later!”
“Then I’m afraid your wishful thinking will be wrong!”
Noticing that both sides were in a dispute, Cisco, the Dean of the Long-range Magic Department, was the first to break the ice.
“Okay, okay. Teachers, let’s watch the game first, okay? Fike and Cazino are both prides of our Long-range Magic Department, aren’t they?”
Chambers butted in with strong words.
“Fike is also the pride of the Healing Magic Department!”
Cisco looked at Chambers, who was now slightly embarrassed. He only smiled and did not bother arguing with him.
At the same time, Fike and Cazino had already taken their respective corners in the arena.
A gong sounded marking the start of the final battle.
Fike saw that Cazino did not look like he intended to attack, only standing quietly in the distance.
Fike immediately recalled what his opponent had requested.
He moved to attack.
Unsheathing his sword, Sword Qi circled around the blade, surrounding it.
Fike walked casually as he slowly approached Cazino without realizing that a great danger was about to happen.
As he was just about to reach his opponent, Fike raised his weapon, intending to make a lazy stab at Cazino.
Just as the sword was about to make contact…
Cazino was blown away like a gust of wind.
Fike was confused. Soon, new figures of Cazino appeared in all four corners of the arena.
“Hahahaha, Fike, how interesting! Can you find me? Hahahaha!”
Strong gusts of wind blew in the air throughout the ring, disturbing Fike’s senses. As such, he could not feel Cazino’s aura at all.
Fike realized that he seemed to have underestimated his opponent.
Thus, he stretched out his right hand, prepared to launch a fireball to end Cazino’s tricks.
As he gestured, a huge ball of Heavenly Fire once again appeared and blotted out the sky, just like the one that he had summoned before in his match against Ah Fei.
Just as the raging fires were about to hit the arena…
A tremendously strong gust wind blew out of nowhere, carrying away the flames that dissipated along with the wind.
Up until now, among all the people that Fike had fought, no one other than the Exotic Beasts themselves have been able to completely wipe out one of Fike’s skills.
Fike revealed a moment of hesitation, but quickly readjusted himself.
The audience gawked at the scene that had just played out before them.
They couldn’t help but marvel at Cazino’s strength.
“What skill did that Cazino use? He can actually extinguish Fike’s Heavenly Fire? He’s too strong!”
“Didn’t I already say that Fike can’t do it? That guy can only beat smelly fish and rotten shrimps, but he really can’t do anything if he encounters an expert like Cazino!”
“Don’t you know the title that Cazino holds? He’s the Son of the Gale, Cazino!”
Meanwhile, in the arena, Fike muttered to himself.
“Son of the Gale, Cazino… Looks like you really do have some skills!”
Just as he had been praising Cazino, all of the clones rushed forward to attack Fike.
“Fike! It appears that not only are you very interesting, but you’re also good at appreciating art!”
Cazino yelled.
“But it’s a pity!”
Fike turned to what he thought was Cazino’s real body.
“What’s a pity?”
“It’s a pity that you forgot, you can’t be distracted in battle!”
Fike suddenly realized that this extremely clear voice had come from behind his ear.
His opponent’s real body had already circled behind him.
A malicious, sharp blade stabbed into Fike’s back, too quickly for him to dodge.
Fike had a strange feeling. He could sense that the blade Cazino had plunged into him was only of average quality.
Yet for some reason, it had actually been able to pierce through the Overlord’s Body.
A drop of blood ran down the sharp blade onto Cazino’s hand.
Cazino also found this quite strange.
His sharp blade had been unable to pierce through Fike directly.
Even though he had forcefully stabbed him, the blade had only left a small wound a few millimeters deep on his back.
“Fike, you’re certainly strong indeed!”
Cazino smiled sinisterly.
“Since your body is so tough, then I’ll have to use a special method to take you down!”
Without warning, a huge, violent hurricane whipped into existence, dancing around the arena.
The winds were exceptionally fierce, causing even Fike to stumble, unable to find his footing.
“This move is called Hurricane! As in a hurricane that’ll drag you to desperation! Hahahaha, how’s that? Sounds good, right?”
Cazino boasted. His expression had morphed into one that was terrifyingly devious.
He continued showboating at Fike.
“Enjoy the ultimate art that’ll get you eliminated!”
The winds roared as the hurricane approached unrelentingly toward Fike, who was now leaning at an angle, barely managing to remain standing on the stage.
“Witness the perfection of my art! Fike, you will dance to the sound of the wind! Hahahahaha!”
Fike stabbed the Herme’s Curse into the floor of the stage.Holding on to it for support, his entire body was like a fluttering flag, swaying in the wind.
“This opportunity to be my opponent will have been your greatest honor!”
Fike was growing somewhat tired of Cazino’s trash talking.
Suddenly, he had a flash of inspiration.
“The outcome of this battle is still yet to be decided!”
