Chapter 623 Disc Raid Plan
Chapter 623 Disc Raid Plan
?
Rudra contemplated the complex arrangement of Satan's forces as he observed the meticulously crafted map spread out before him. He started by dissecting the Northern front.
' To the North, there are armoured hellhounds led by multiple tier6 gods, a living wall of fire and brimstone ' he thought to himself as his mind quickly simulated a battle in that terrain.
Any attack from that direction would result in instant counterattacks from those fire-breathing beasts.
The wide-open terrain would offer little cover for the vampire forces, making them easy targets. Not to mention the energy expenditure that the vampires would have to endure just to get past the first line of defence. It was an uphill battle, both physically and strategically.
Next, he considered the Eastern approach. "Winged serpents and undead soldiers..." he mused.
Their aerial assault capabilities coupled with the surprise attacks from beneath the sands made this pathway a death trap.
The sandy terrain, although relatively flat, would be unstable and treacherous to navigate under the barrage of fire from above and sudden ambushes from below.
An attack from this direction would demand a level of coordination and speed that the tier3 vampires would simply be incapable of keeping up with overtime.
The South was a different challenge altogether. Shadow creatures and wraiths led by a group of tier6 gods turned this side into a deadly web of darkness.
"Invisible enemies on a dark battlefield," Rudra sighed. It would be a game of cat and mouse, only they would be the mice scurrying about, constantly under threat.
Not to mention the potential for psychological warfare, with fear and uncertainty becoming as potent as any physical weapon. The cost in terms of morale could be devastating.
Finally, he considered the West, the side that was being guarded by the werewolves.
A battlefield drenched in centuries of hatred….
Launching an attack from this side would not just provoke a ferocious battle, it would ignite a blood feud. The werewolves' rage, coupled with the challenging rocky terrain, could result in significant casualties, even before they reached the disc.
Rudra leaned back, staring at the map with a newfound understanding of the monumental challenge before them.
Each approach had its own unique perils and complexities. However, before deciding an approach of where to launch the attack from, one needed to understand a fundamental reality of attacking on open terrains.
No matter where they began, they'd ultimately face the full wrath of Satan's forces.
The battlefield's openness ensured that if they committed to one front, the forces from the remaining fronts could reposition to flank and crush them.
Unless Satan was a brainless idiot, which Rudra highly doubted that he was, he would never let the vampires completely push through one end without being out-flanked by other forces.
The vampire troops would end up trapped, forced to fight on multiple fronts and it would be then that he would lead Regus away to fight a personal fight, maybe involve the tier7 werewolf to help him and tip the scales of battle.
However, where others might see an insurmountable obstacle in planning a strategy for such a battle, Rudra saw opportunity. He was, after all, the greatest mastermind to ever exist.
He began to formulate a strategy that broke away from conventional warfare.
" Fighting from one single front is suicidal, what we need to do is start the fight with a feint. We should seem to push through the northern side where our front-lines should engage in a brutal combat against Satan's troops in a fight that lasts around 15-25 minutes in duration " Rudra said as he tapped lightly on the northern front on the map.
" Once the scouts confirm that Satan gives the green signal for the west and east forces to have started to flank, we create confusion by sending our fastest and most silent warriors, to infiltrate the South.
The objective would be to sow discord and confusion among the wraiths and shadow creatures. With the South in disarray, Satan would be scratching his head as to where the actual attack would be coming from as he would order the east and west flanks to stop approaching the north for the moment " Rudra said as everyone present in the room could imagine his plan coming to life.
An attack from polar opposite ends causing there to be chaos amongst the ranks of Satan's army.
" The real attack comes from the west end, where we take on the werewolves.
The attack starts with whatever aerial legion the vampires have against the werewolves who would be out of shape from already being on the go to hastily reach the northern battlefront when they are asked to stop.
The werewolves would find it extremely difficult to fight against the aerial troops and by the time Satan figures out our real motives and asks the majority of the aerial legion stationed on the east to come to their aid, we would have killed millions of their kind.
The hatred their kind has for the vampires is another reason behind why I think attacking from the west is a good idea.
They are sore losers and are hungry to humiliate the vampires, if we use it to our advantage we can easily lure them into traps and put them on the backfoot " Rudra said as he began placing multiple vampire legion tokens on the western front painting the entire picture of the battle.
It was an ambitious plan, meticulously accounting for each threat and taking full advantage of their own strengths.
Rudra knew the plan was risky and relied heavily on precise timing and perfect execution, but it was their best shot at victory. After all, no battle was won without risk, and no war was won without sacrifice.
Regus understood this as well, he also understood that Rudra's plan was far more complex and intricate than their own plans which could not even be called a proper tactic in front of what he had come up with.
But what Rudra's plan did not elaborate on was his battle with Satan and who amongst the vampires would step up to the task of taking on the tier7 vampire god?
Julian and Vega were both on duty guarding a disc of their own and could not participate in the raid, leaving the vampires with no tier7 warrior in their fold.
What Regus did not know was that it was not that Rudra did not account for such scenarios, but it was simply that he did not care enough for the vampires to devise a more detailed strategy.
He had given them a plan, the finest details could be figured out amongst their own.
