Chapter 1248 The Items Obtained
Whoosh!
Crossing through the rift that led him out of the Mystic Plane, Valyr immediately let out a cackle filled with excitement the moment he appeared in Daffors Village once more.
'I definitely got more than I thought I would this time,' thought the young man to himself, briefly thinking back on the various elixirs Mystia had given him after he accepted her request to swear a mana oath.
Surprisingly, just as he had requested from Mystia before he brought up the existence of the fictional player, the alchemist went ahead and gave him a bottle of Constitution Refinement Elixir, which immediately prompted him to thank her with immense gratitude.
Though, not long after, she also gave him a set of the True Rebirth Pill and the Mystic Vial he consumed in the past, which caused his eyes to widen in surprise as he looked at Mystia with his mouth slightly agape.
Although he was incredibly glad that Mystia had acquiesced to give him some of her elixirs, Valyr expected at most that he'd only be given one of the two.
After all, the effects these items had on their own were already incredible enough for people to fight over in auctions. Aside from that, he had a strong feeling that Mystia toiled a lot just to concoct these elixirs.
With that in mind, he decided to give back the pill and vial set to Mystia, telling her that only one of the two items was more than enough for him. At the same time, he asked her why she gave him the two items in the first place.
In response, she told him that she gave both items to him in the hopes that the player that caught his eye would be able to improve at a faster rate. "In fact, there's a slight synergistic effect between the two items," Mystia added after that. "One awakens hidden stats, while the other one improves upon it. It would definitely save that player of yours quite a lot of trouble, no?"
"Well, yes… but doesn't making these elixirs take a lot of time and effort to do so?" asked Valyr back, not hesitating to speak out his thoughts from earlier. "I appreciate the gesture, but having both seems a bit too much."
"No? Who told you it takes me a lot of time and effort to concoct those items?" Hearing Valyr's words, Mystia raised her eyebrows in slight confusion before opening a spatial rift in front of Valyr.
Whoosh!
Curious as to why she opened up a spatial rift before him, the young man decided to peer into it, only to be left at a complete loss for words when he noticed that there were multiple copies of Constitution Refinement Elixir on the other side.
Not only that, but the True Rebirth Pills and Mystic Vials existed on the other side in droves, alongside many other elixirs that seemed to have miraculous effects in his eyes.
"Remember, I have Mystic Rune Alchemy," said Mystia with a slight smile, closing the spatial rift before Valyr after feeling that she got her point across. "The only problem I face when concocting elixirs would be materials."
"…You could create those elixirs with Mystic Rune Alchemy?" said Valyr in response, his expression and tone still in slight disbelief. After all, as far as his knowledge of alchemy extended, such elixirs needed hundreds of materials to be concocted. If not that, then they needed to be combined in certain ways in order for a specific effect to appear.
Unexpectedly, Mystia's off-handed comment shone a light in Valyr's mind of what Mystic Rune Alchemy was truly capable of, reminding him that his accomplishments in alchemy could be considered as him only barely scratching the surface.
Having no reason to refuse her goodwill any further after that, Valyr stowed both the elixir and the pill and vial set into his spatial bracelet, only for Mystia to give him what looked like a fruit, as well as an old skill book.
'According to her, the fruit and the old skill book were items she kept in the off chance she ever accepted a disciple that was highly talented in the world of mana control.'
'However, since I was the disciple she ended up accepting, she eventually deemed the items as having no use for her,' inwardly muttered Valyr to himself as he made his way to an even more secluded part of the village.
Whoosh!
Swiftly bringing out the fruit out of his spatial bracelet, the young man continued where his train of thought left off. 'And thus, she decided to give it to me… telling me that the 'player' that caught my eye would greatly benefit from it.'
'Well… she wouldn't be wrong.'

[Mana Essence Fruit] (Item)
Rarity: Mythic
There existed legends of a fruit that would only appear in environments with incredibly dense mana… description has been omitted.
Once consumed, this fruit reforges the user's body, greatly attuning their mind and body to the existence of mana, increasing their INT and WIS by 25 points each. This fruit also gives the user the passive skill [Mana-forged Body], which gives the user the ability to manipulate mana on a finer level, the ability to replenish mana at a faster rate, as well as the ability to overclock their mana circuits.
This fruit also gives the user a small chance to awaken some of the potential slumbering within their bodies, attuning themselves even more to the existence of mana.
It is said that almost all mages remembered throughout history have consumed this fruit during their youth.
[Note: This fruit can only be consumed by a being at Rank 0.]

"…Wow." Using his identification skill on the fruit, Valyr was soon left at a loss for words by the time he was done reading through its description.
After all, the fruit's effects were exactly what he needed to become an extremely powerful mage!
"A boost to INT and WIS, greater mana control, greater mana regeneration, and even the ability to overclock mana circuits…" "Now I'm curious what the skill book has offer." Muttering these words to himself, the young man eventually felt his attention gravitate towards the other item he got from Mystia.
Whoosh!
Taking out the old skill book from his spatial bracelet, Valyr gave it a quick once-over before asking himself, "Surely, there's a reason why she gave me this, right?"
