Chapter 151 151 Merchant
Chapter 151 151 Merchant
The merchant couldn't fathom what was going on, his guards who were supposed to protect him were getting killed one after the other and his legs were sinking as he struggled to escape but he had the worst luck of all.
Alex wasn't going for any of the guards instead he had his eyes on the merchant, Alex stopped few distances away from the merchant so he wouldn't get dragged into Gabriel's spell.
Gabriel's job was to slow the guards down so he didn't harden the mud, while Bridget and Lynx took the guards down one after the other. Now that he had two flintlock pistols, he could take down each guard with a single bullet as long as he gets a headshot.
Alex held both of his daggers but he didn't join the fight, Max also didn't bother joining cause he didn't want to get shot by Lynx.
>BAM!!<
Lynx shot the last guard leaving only the merchant who was shaking in fear as Alex stood close to him.
"You can climb out right?" Alex asked.
"Y-Yes..." the merchant replied as he begins to struggle, after a few minutes he finally struggled out of the mud trap.
"Please don't kill me" the merchant begged as soon as he got out, the rest of the group had already arrived before the merchant came out of the mud.
"Huh!! kill you? Why would I kill you?" Alex asked.
"...U-Uhmmm... p-please don't kill me"
"Just kill the merchant let's be in our way, it's not like he has anything to offer us," Lynx said as he raised his pistol.
"N-No, No please don't kill me, what do you want, I have many things to offer, money, girls, properties, connections, I have tons of things to offer" the merchant shouted.
"Calm down Lynx, he says he has things to offer, but we don't need the things you have to offer, we have money, we have girls and frankly we don't need properties, but we do need something from you and if you cooperate, we'll let you live," Alex said
"W-What do to need, anything..." the merchant spoke almost immediately.
"Information only, first tell me about your slave trip, and let's talk in the carriage, I'm a little exhausted"
"Good job scaring him," Max said to Lynx.
"I wasn't scaring him, I was genuinely going to shoot him, but I'm glad it all worked out," Lynx said as he walked towards the carriage.
"Okay, you can start, but first tell me about the mage that made the slave contract," Alex said.
"He works for me, I hired him but..."
"That's good to know, I heard he is able to break the contract and free the girls, where is he?" Alex asked.
"...I don't know"
"You don't know? I thought you hired him personally"
"H-He went on a trip, he'll be back in a m-month time" the merchant stuttered.
"A month time, so we can't break the contract till he's back?" Alex asked.
"Yes..." the merchant said in a low voice.
"There goes our 100 skill points..."
"We should kill him, if we can't break the contract, then we'll have to take all the girls to Zenith city and if we can't find someone to break it, what do we do, we can't be walking around with a bunch of NPCs" Lynx spoke.
"He's right, isn't there another way?" Max asked the merchant.
"I don't know any other way," the merchant said.
"Who do you sell the girls to?" Alex asked.
"I sell them to men in different cities in the Silver and Gold continent, I have the list of all the men I've sold to, I can hand the list to you," the merchant said.
"We don't need the list, we should just kill him, that'll stop him from trading slaves" Lynx spoke.
"No... I'll stop, I promise, please don't kill me" the merchant pleaded.
"People like this are consumed by greed, if we leave him alone, he'll find his way back and start again," Max said.
"Before that, what do you know about the shadow potion!" Alex asked and the merchant flinched immediately and his face turned pale almost instantly.
"Ohh, it seems you know about the potion, tell me all you know, and we'll let you go, you have my word, I'm the leader of this group so you won't be hurt" Alex spoke
"I don't have an idea of what you are talking about, I don't know anything about potions," the merchant said with his hands shaking.
"Really, let's move outside, it seems you have no idea what situation you are in," Alex said as he dragged the merchant outside the carriage.
Lena, Zina, and Rebecca were returning with the girls and they saw the merchant, after seeing the merchant captured one of the girls lost control and ran toward the merchant.
"You bastard" the girl shouted as she ran towards him.
"Hey what's wrong with you" Max shouted as he stopped the girl.
"He took my sister, where is my sister?" the girl shouted at the merchant.
"Do you know her or her sister?" Alex asked and the merchant couldn't speak, he wasn't concerned about their families or anything, all that mattered was that the girls were young and fetched him money.
"I doubt he would know your sister, when was she taken?" Lynx asked the girl.
"Last time he came, around 20 days ago" the girl spoke as tears dropped down her cheeks.
"We should kill this bastard and be done with him, then we attack all the camp in this forest," Lynx said.
"Attacking the other camps isn't the problem here, even if we attack all the camps and free all the girls, we still haven't found someone to break the seal," Alex said.
"You would let us go?" the girl asked.
"Huh! Do you think we would keep you around, we have places to visit and beasts to slay, keeping slaves around would only hinder us," Alex said.
"I know a powerful mage in Zenith City that can break the seal, that is if he's still in the city," the girl said.
"Good, that solves our problem"
"My sister might still be in one of their camps, you say you would free the other girls right?" the girl asked in a low voice.
"Yes," Max said.
"So Alan back to our discussion, what do you know about the shadow potion?" Alex asked, "We're outside now and Lynx here really wants to kill you, so you either answer or..."
"You can go ahead and shoot me, I don't know anything about any potion," the merchant said with his eyes closed.
"So he willing to die for a common potion" Gabriel mumbled.
"Let's start with shooting his legs" Alex whispered to Lynx and he smiled brightly, torturing somebody definitely has some trill to it, he wasn't going to get a chance in real life so he might as well make the most of it in Nova Online.
"I'm being really friendly right now, I'll ask again, what do you know about the shadow potion?"
"I told you I don't know..."
>BAM!!<
"Argghhhhh...my leg...arrghhh, please don't kill me, please don't kill me" the merchant screamed as tears begin flowing down his eyes.
"Good it seems you now recognize the situation you are in, tell me about the shadow potion," Alex said as he held the merchant's head.
"Please, they don't tell me anything, I was just told to distribute it, I don't know anything" the merchant shouted.
"I thought you didn't know anything about potions, who are they?" Alex asked.
"Please spare me"
"Second leg" Alex spoke.
"Haaa...No please, I'll talk, I'll... I'm going to die either way, if I tell you guys, they'll kill me" the merchant cried.
"What is he talking about, who are they?" Gabriel spoke.
"Tell us about them, and we'll protect you, I promise," Alex said.
"Protect me, you are no match, all of you guys are no match, kill me I'm not going to say anything else" the merchant shouted.
"It seems the shadow potion is more troublesome than we can handle, if we keep asking about it, I'm sure we'll get in trouble," Max said.
"You are right but before that, Lynx shoot his other foot" Alex spoke.
