Modern Weapon Summoning System

Chapter 123 - 12-C

Chapter 123 - 12-C

"Attention please, guys, I have some news to say." Aveline was presenting Del and Anna, who were in the front of the classroom. She wanted to introduce the Moore siblings to the entire class. "These are the students that will transfer to this classroom. They are the Moore siblings."

The whole classroom immediately directed their attention the Del and Anna's direction. Well, Del expectation was wrong. It seemed that the gossip had been spreading left and right about their arrival. It made things easier then. The class wouldn't be so surprised about their arrival, and an extra introduction wouldn't be necessary.

Without any hesitation, one of the male students pulled Del toward their desk. There was no teacher in that classroom, that kind of situation was rather expected. The male student was another demon, probably another mischievous type.

"Yo, sup bro? Welcome to our class. Name's Adam, what's yours?" Adam asked.

"Del. Just call me Del. Nice to meet you, Adam," Del said.

"No sweat, bro. We dudes must stick together among this sea of women. Anyway, I heard you were coming from the war zone, how was it there?"

How much information had leaked about him? Maybe a leak about his age or a leak about his relationship with his sister was understandable, but why would a student know a reputation about him? Did Walter tell them about it? Or was it because his reputation was that good that it became pretty much well-known?

"How did you know about me?" Del asked.

"Aveline told us."

Aveline? How the hell did she know? Was she someone important, or was she someone who knew every gossip that went around the entire school? Well, either way, Del wouldn't know better unless he asked. Still, the only person that would be asking was Anna since both of them were women.

"Aveline?"

"Yeah, she told us about you. You were a war veteran and shits. Overall, we envy you, but my expectation is certainly too high. You don't look like a war hero." Adam observed him.

"And you certainly don't look like a high-school kid." A student holding gun was not a high-school kid. It was the basic common sense of Earth. However, the basic common sense of that world was different. Still, why would they supply high-school students with guns? Would they become a member of the self-defence forces?

"What is normal to you?" Adam asked.

"Studying, studying, and studying. Those are the norms for me. Or is the culture here different from what my culture used to be?" Del wondered.

"It's different, Del. Everyone is expected to defend themselves from possible threats that come from the surrounding region. I'm talking about the likes of automatas, monsters, and imperial soldiers. The first two is more common around here, especially the monsters. That's one of the reasons why we always bring guns," Adam answered.

"I see," Del nodded.

His focus changed to Aveline. She was talking with Anna and the other girls. The content of their conversation was probably the same, but with a little bit of female talk. Anyhow, Del made a quick observation.

Maybe bringing his AK-74M into the academy would be necessary. And perhaps, wearing a plate carrier below the jacket would be rather wise. He didn't know what they were capable of, but he certainly knew that a bullet coming from any of those students would kill him.

Well, the silver lining was he could bring his rifle to the academy. It wasn't much, but defending himself wouldn't be hard if that were the case. He could immediately pull his rifle and shoot at any attackers. However, he felt a little bit sorry for the other students if Anna used her high-tech rifle. She would ace any marksmanship exam easily.

"Anyway, Del, when did you move in?" Adam asked.

"Around yesterday, why do you ask?"

"Your face just feels unfamiliar for me. So it seems to me that you're a newcomer and it is true."

"Understandable. So, why are there more boys than girls here?" Del asked.

"I don't know, probably because of the arrangements. Anyway, is there anything that you want to know about us? Aveline told us that both of you haven't attended a educational instititution for a long time."

Del thought for a while. "When will the school usually start? At what time will it finish? And what you all usually do once the class ends?" Getting insight into their activity was rather important for him. It would give him insight into the usual activity in that place.

"We usually enter at seven and go home at two. After school, there are some extracurricular activities. Some are more focused on physical activites while the others are more focused on academical activities or the combination of both."

"Is there any medical volunteer activity around here?" Del asked.

"Yes, there is one. Why do you ask?" Adam asked back.

"Because I have more experience with them per se. I used to be with MSVI months ago before I went to Ilbistirum."

"Ohhh. So you want to become a doctor in the future? Well, good luck with that then." Adam inferred that Del wanted to become a doctor because of his choice with a medical organization. He wasn't wrong though, Del indeed wanted to become a doctor, and he had no objection about it.

"Yeah. Is the school finished yet?" Del asked.

"It has finished, the teacher left earlier. Do you want a tour around the school with us, or not?" Adam asked.

"Damn, you are able to read my mind," Del commented.

"C'mon boys, let's walk. Del wants to have a tour of our school, and it might be a good idea to give one to him." The others stood up from their desks and followed Adam from behind. Del walked alongside him and left Anna with the other students.

Del walked towards the hallway. Most of the students had come out of their classes with their weapons and their backpacks on their backs. After all, the bell has rung beforehand. Adam and the others led them back to the admin office.

"This is the admin office, if you have any admin problem, you go there. This includes tuition problem, money problem, document problem, etc. If it has documents on it, you go to admin," Adam explained as they walked past the admin room.

After the admin room, they came to a much bigger hallway. That hallway contained many glass cabinets that had the trophies that the school had achieved. The school seemed to be rather prestigious, considering the number of trophies displayed there.

"Did the academy win this many competitions?" Del asked.

"Yeah. Our academy won marksmanship competition last semester. When we were still in the 11th grade, our senior won a chemistry competition at the capital. Etcetera, etcetera," Adam explained.

"I see," Del nodded.

"Anyway, let's continue our tour," Adam said.

They walked in the direction of the yard. Many hay bales were used as target practice, and several round metal plates were used by the marksman of that academy to train. Overall, it was not any ordinary school after all. There were also several small buildings. Adam said that they were club buildings.

Del continued walking, eventually, he arrived at the special place, the canteen. "Here's the canteen. We usually hang around here during break times. However, the food here is quite, bad. Still, it's better than nothing," Adam said.

It was true, many people were indeed hanging out in that canteen. Some were having a date, some were eating, but most were just talking like Adam and Del. There was nothing out of the ordinary to be honest. It was just what it was, canteen.

"That concludes our tour, so Del, what's your first impression?" Adam asked.

"The school is better than I expected. Anyway, do you have any special information that I need to know?" Del asked.

"I don't think I have. Where do you live?" Adam asked.

"A cabin, not too far from here."

Adam just nodded. "I think we might swing by sooner or later, what do you think, fellas?"

"Absolutely."

"Up to you, boss."

"Maybe later, I don't think my sister would want a lot of boys entering the cabin at the same time  without her knowing anything. I got to go, someone is waiting for me," Del said.

"See ya."

===================

Secret Intention. Of course, there was a reason why they were enrolled in that school. There were many more schools in Ilbistirum, why would Lumbart Academy be chosen if there was no secret intention? Walter was explaining the secret reason to both Del and Anna in the command center. He had drawn a rough sketch and taping many pictures into the white board.

"Lost documents? What kind of documents?"

"Documents about intelligence on imperial's side. One of the students is the children of a government authority in the imperial government. I want both of you to demand information from this unknown individual."

Del and Anna was equally surprised. Did Walter just told them to kidnap a teenager?
