Chapter 475: Blood Smear
Holding Lilith, whose expression was paler than snow in my sights, my heart groomed as I turned to Baphomet lying defenselessly in my sights. His body was all but mangled and broken, leaving him looking like a potato with his missing limbs.
"Will you survive?"
"We will. All the Abyssal Energy within our bodies is just about gone; all we need to do is gather our lost divinity." Said Baphomet softly, shutting his eyes.
Hearing the soft snores of the demon king, in my sights I left, without looking back. Making sure I closed the door, two sets of eyes focused upon me.
"Your back. What's going on? You look so grim," Eroma inquired, stepping to my side while he glanced towards the door behind me.
"Grey, head inside. Should anyone, and I mean ANYONE, enter, call Tang Feng. Have him be on stand bye." I coldly ordered, "Eroma, you are on the outside. If you see anyone, and I mean anyone, even me or Grey! Approach or exit this room. You call Tang Feng."
"Arsene, what is going on?" Greyson grimly requested.
Shaking my head, I simply frowned. "Head in, and never come out. Eroma, you stand out here." I said, taking my leave to those downstairs watching me approach. I gave each of them a sinister stare.
"Cleo, Yu Jing, Sigfried, and Kurt. I will say this once if you approach Eroma, you die. If you tell your master, and they come, they will die. This is my first and last warning to you." I coldly informed, glancing down at Arkanos, watching with confusion. "Arkanos, you are with me tonight."
Easily pacified, the young Dragon leaped in joy. "Ok! Can we get ice cream?"
"Wait. What is going on? You haven't explained anything," Said Cleo, placing her hands upon her hips defiantly.
"That's because there is nothing to explain. Approach Eroma, and you die." I replied calmly, taking the little Dragon's small hands beaming with child-like innocence.
It was currently the dead of twilight, but a devil's work is never done.
Sending the four young Chosen a warning glance, I left some final words as I approached the door, "You think your masters are at the top of the Bed of Chaos, but they are only considered mid-tier. Watch where you stand, Chosen of Nox."
Arkanos and I did not stay to argue, heading towards the northern district. The planning of a wedding, or a Red Wedding, requires one major factor. We needed an escape route—plan to fail. A motto I will always follow.
Screw the I believe in fate bullshit. Fate and destiny are the enemies.
"Papa? What are we doing?" Arkanos softly uttered, glancing around with suspicion, "Are we being spies?"
Lifting the little dragon girl, Arkanos, over my head and onto my shoulders, her eyes grew like stars. I would not admit to her. I had two motives for taking little Arkanos with me. One, I needed a shield to make myself seem like it was a daddy-daughters day. The other was to get some training in being a father. My God, we forgot about Arkanos when we blasted Paradise apart, not to mention I went into a coma for like seven years.
Then there is sex with Lilith. That little bastard is going to ruin plowing my wife! Damn it! Whose idea was it to impregnate Lilith!
"Papa?" Little Arkanos called, awakening me from my stupor within a gondola.
"Hm?"
"I'm hungry," She said, with large beady eyes.
Pinching Arkanos' fluffy cheeks, I chuckled, glancing around at passing gondolas and various other people on the sidewalk in the hights of conversation.
"Did you hear? King Tain is furious! I heard an entire world was turned to ash when he found out his daughter is getting married." Said a man with a low-cut mane and narrow eyes.
"That's nothing, bro! A little ways away, in the territory of the Corrupted Serpent, I heard the Prince's unborn child was torn from its mother belly and placed in a pit of flames." Another added, glancing around in fear.
"Damn, the King must be peeved. Bastard or not, that child was still of royal blood, but who do you think Princess Tain Xifeng will marry? I heard it was a Demon King who tried to kidnap her!" A short female in purple robes whispered. Ignorant of the gods who were listening to the buzz in the air.
"Kidnap, the Strongest Soul Bender! Please!" Someone mocked.
"It's only a rumor! You fool!'
Grinning ear to ear, onboard at the thought of someone kidnapping that crazy woman. My gaze twisted back and forth in a bit of ponderance.
"PAPA!!!! ARKANOS HUNGRY!!!!" The Dragon wailed within my ear, glaring with a mean pout.
Pulling the bright Little Dragon into my arms, I chuckled, nibbling upon her apple-like cheeks."Yes, Yes. We are almost on Seventh Street. We will eat soon, Ok."
Witnessing Arkanos giggling brightly, my gaze suddenly skimmed over a dark alley. Leaping off the gondola with Arkanos in my arm, I smirked. Biting my thumb till ruby red blood ran, I smeared it upon the wall. Imbuing my blood with part of my shadow, When the idea of a massive parlor trick appeared within my mind.
"I may need to up my comprehension of blood laws to give a good illusion, but this should work."
"Bad Papa!"
Remembering Arkanos, a chill ran down my spine. Was I going to do the same with my child? Dear God, is it going to be a boy or girl.
I want a girl, but boys are just so easy to take care of. You toss em off a bridge and let them fight their way up.
But girls are so sweet and adorable, those chibi cheeks and beady eyes. DAMN IT! I wanna have a baby girl! Damn Damn Damn! But fuck! they get married! My DAUGHTER! MARRIED!!! NO!!!
"PAPA!!" Arkanos screamed once more, pounding on my thighs as I spaced out.
Shaking my head, I sighed, lifting her into my arms, "Sorry. Mama could be having a baby, and I'm a little freaked out."
"Really! Arkanos will be a big sis!"
"Well, you do have a big sis already." I mysteriously said as the little Dragon in my arms shuttered with delight.
Passing my hands through her snow-white hair, I carried on towards Seventh Street. Making sure to leave a blood smear where ever I go. The Day of the Wedding will be crazy.
