Chapter 571 - The Devouring Dark Soul
Chapter 571 - The Devouring Dark Soul
Flicking my finger through the hollow darkness, a demonic glint of divinity traced over the air. Lilith's gaze was solemn as she gave the nod.
"This is the most critical part and the most dangerous. You need to add your darkness to this rune." She solemnly expressed, but I shook my head, covered in sweat. Feeling like I was in surgery once again, I stared at the seven runes I drew in a foreign tongue of my design.
"I don't trust Aegis. The darkness is tainted; I will only use Abyssal Night." I swiftly remarked, gritting my teeth holding on to the runes in my sight. "My children like Freya and Mimir have a new Divinity, and I think it's a derivative of my Path."
"I have never seen them," She said, in a way that told me I could be right.
"Flood these runes in your Abyssal Divinity. My Path is derivative of yours anyway." I muttered, releasing a mist of divinity from my pores.
"It's also a derivative of the One. You better remember that. It took the both of them to make The Path of Abyssal Night." She argued, flooding the room in a scarlet, black mist that had my hairs on end and my soul-shaking.
The laws around me trembled and wished to flee as Lilith's aura grew darker than that monstrous abyssal Qi I felt from Julius. She had never mentioned it before, but I was sure there was only one person who could use Abyssal Qi, and that was its ruler. The All.
Tearing the flesh from my palm, blood spilled over my hand as Lilith suddenly forced her divinity into the seven runes in my palm.
Barring the weight of what felt like a world in my palm, I added my understanding of the Path of Abyssal Night. Forcing my divinity to follow Lilith's actions, the runes within my palm glowed with a devouring force that resembled the Lust of the devils, and the wrath of the Demons, along with the other five sins.
Gulping down at the power overflowing, a lustful hunger grew like fire in my soul. Eyeing the seven runes, glistening with my Path, Lilith sinisterly grinned, "Swallow,"
Plunging the Seven Path Runes down into my chest, blood gushed for my mouth, and eyes splashed over Lilith, who lunged over me and took my lips.
"Your fucking crazy!" I grunted as she licked the blood from my orifices.
Shaking uncontrollably, I had no time to deal with this crazy demon. Looking inwardly at my soul, Surrounded by the Seven Path Rune, I nodded. I had never intended to use the Seven Sins, but why not. If I struggle with my sins, my people should also follow my lead. Let us share our sins.
Touching my soul, I hesitated for a moment, taking hold of the Runes and my Soul Flame. However, as my soul lay close to the rune, the hunger for power I held only grew. Baring the ugly fangs of Gluttony, my Soul Flame and rune clashed.
Shooting from out of my Soul Space, my arms and legs began to shake as black veins began to sliver their way over my body. Creeping over my skin till it reached my neck, Lilith's smile only grew.
Opening my mouth to speak, words failed to sound. She shook her head, placing her hands over my mouth, " I swear you always make the right decision even if they torment you in the future. How you would make a fine Devil."
Clenching my teeth, my skin felt like hot tar, and my eyes burned as a new type of torment I had never felt before raced through my soul. My eyes widened, and a howl of pure anguish burst from my lips.
Memories of fire, memories of Hell, all came crashing back as I screamed, ready to claw my eyes out. I could feel the icy chains, the burning heat, and the brimstone touching against my eye.
"It took you long enough to remember, Sene," Lilith whispered as a wave of soul force, both mine and hers, touched, twirling around like serpents, a pulse suddenly ran from our bodies. "When we wake, we will be the same. So is the price of this Soul Arte, but for now, let us share our pain once more."
...
...
...
"See, See! I told you! I told you I smelt Papa!" A gentle, childlike voice sounded through my cloudy head. A little confused, I opened my eyes to four sets of childlike eyes staring at me with wonder. Blinking a few times, I groaned, feeling a familiar warmth over my body.
"What is Mama Two doing with Papa? No fair! Arkanos wanna sleep with Papa!" She cried out, pulling close to my eyes with tears brewing like stars. "Papa! Arkanos wanna sleep with you!!"
"No, it's Ty's turn!" My other dragon child suddenly cried, pushing Arkanos out the way. Giggling evilly, she stuck her tongue out.
Witnessing Arkanos crash through the wall, I jumped awake. However, as I did, something strange ran through me—a coolness of indifference that seemed to conflict with the rage I was carrying.
"BIG BAD BULLY!!!! Wait till Arkanos is a High God! Arkanos will bully you back!"
"This is why I wanted to stay with you. It's like this every day. All they do is fight, usually ending with Arkanos being bullied by Ty." Lilith softly muttered, opening her groggy eyes. She smiled and ran her hands through my hair. "How do you feel?"
"I-I-I don't know. Indifferent, Angry, maybe sad. I can't decide." I muttered halfheartedly, recalling what had just happened.
"Well, not much should change, but you may have a better grasp on why you have been more brutal in some of your recent actions." Lilith softly mentioned, "Do you still remember."
Clenching my fist, I could see the tears in her eyes as I nodded, resisting the urge to shed tears as well. I held her as she broke down in tears. Wailing over my chest, I ran my hands through her icy hair.
"Mama?" Said Ty, whose eyes began to tear up just like her mother's, "Is something wrong with Papa? Does he have a boo-boo?"
Shaking my head, Lilith's cries began to echo as I lowered my head. I was a god, a prideful one, at that, but that torment with Sitri was soul-breaking. Cycle after cycle, I could still hear her plea for me to leave, for me to sever our Tether.
"Mama Two," Arkanos gently muttered, drawing close; she sat next to Lilith and patted her head.
"Come, let's get something to eat, Lili," I muttered, wishing to rid this sour torment from my head. Pulling the Little devil to her feet, she glanced up at me with tearful eyes and nudged against my chest with her head.
"I'm glad you remember."
