Chapter 975 Ezra - The Warning
Chapter 975 Ezra - The Warning
Snapping my eyes open, I leap to my feet, surveying my surroundings, and summoned the Fang of Wrath, Seth, the great sword that once belonged to Father. The very sword Lucifer blessed to corrupt the minds of gods and humans alike.
Trees of evergreen stretched far as the eye could see, which wasn't far as great mist dotted my vision, ensuring I couldn't see that far. Unsure where I was, I looked down at the campfire that looked to have just gone out and frowned. The embers over the wood were still glowing, giving off a trail of smoke.
"Master!" I called out, unable to sense many things within this mist with my divine sense that seemed to be restricted. "Master, are you here?"
No response.
Lowering Seth, releasing a fit of burning anger that called for blood, my eyes narrowed. I was alone. Master wasn't here.
"Guess it's up to—"
"Father! Father! It's here! I found the redhead I'm going to marry!"
Red He— Oh my! Oh my god, it's red! I bet that'll put some fire in Master's balls. Hehe, he's been punishing me for punishing him back with Victoria. Curse my need to torment others.
"Gonry, you know how dangerous it is, coming out during the Mist,' Another voice, one that was older, remarked. "It's dangerous. Enemy Versi lives in these parts."
Aren't the Versi the original elvish people? I believe they were created by an angel whose tears fell upon the world. The first tear created the ancient World Tree, said to have stretched far into the cosmos; the second tear fell upon the pollen released by the world tree, and so the Versi was formed.
But Father had said they were so rare even before the forgotten era. Were the Versi hiding in the Guiser Planes?
Catching sight of a small boy with big blue eyes glowing through the mist. I instantly became rooted to the ground as I stared at the very Dao embedded in this child's eyes: earth, wind, fire, and water spiraled through the child's eyes.
Complete Mastery.
"There she is, Dad!"
p
Staring at the empty void as a mysterious voice echoed, I frowned, noticing only the cute blue eye child, no more than five. Does he not have a body?
"Father! She can't see you." Little Gon shouted, puffing out his little cheeks. " You always do this! It's not hard to maintain a physical form, you know!"
"This form is way more freeing. But fine." The older voice moaned. And before my eyes, azure nodes began to congeal from the void, forming into a black hair, blue-eyed young man. "Hello." he started cuffing his hands into a little bow. "It's a pleasure to— Wait, didn't I already introduce myself?"
"You did," I said, noting the same Dao swirling through the Father's eye. "I'm Ezra. Just Ezra." I mentioned not wanting to share my family's name." Are you, by chance, also a Versi?"
"You know of us!" Gonry shouted, his little voice filled with pride.
"A little is all,' I quickly mention noticing the glint in the Father's icy blue eyes. "I—"
"Ezra!" Master's voice came as darkness swirled, flaring with an interesting power that made even me quiver materialize out of thin air as he stepped out. "Sorry about leaving you. I was visiting Victoria to notify her of the coming legion. Are—Oh," He paused, noticing the duo. " Who's this?"
"NOOOO!!!!!" Gonry cried, "is he your husband!"
"Husband! Little brat, my wife will kill you and her for saying that." Master coldly said, with daggers for eyes. " She's my knight. And who the hell are you?"
"I am to be Ezra's future husband!" Came his reply with the utmost confidence.
AAAAAAHHHH He so cute!!!
"No need for Lilith to tear your head off. I'll do it. She's mine, brat!"
"Then I challenge—"
Gerron covered his child's mouth and bowed his head, 'Lord Arsene Snow, Monarch of Darkness and Sovereign of Noctem. It's an honor to meet you."
Master shifted his gaze to Gerron, a look of amusement and intrigue present. " you know me?"
The Father nodded, cuffed his hands together, and looked up when the crest of darkness suddenly materialized within the iris. "Of course. We know when a Monarch is anointed as we are attuned with the elements. Your name rang like tolls a cycle ago and continues to ring as your darkness stretched over Iluthath."
"I see," Master said calmly. "That must be some attunement you have with nature."
"A gift from Arch-Angel Ariel upon our birth." He said, stirring my soul. It had always been a mystery on which angel it was to shed a tear. Not even Father and his massive library knew.
There were even some that believed that it was a Fallen's tear falling through the heavens as a bolt of lightning that made the Versi.
I wonder what made her cry? Meh, it doesn't matter. Screw her! Team Lucifer all the way!
"The angel who absconded with my wife. Why am I not surprised?" Master scuffed. "Well, it's nice to meet you all. I think it's the first time anyone ever congratulated me for becoming a monarch." He pointed out, turning to me with an accusing eye.
"Your not a kid, Master."
"Of course not. Kids don't bang like me!"
Goodness, how the hell can he be so shameless! Bowing my head to hide my shame, he triumphantly laughed.
"And that's how you do it, kid. Be shameless. And everything in life will go right… Don't quote me on that, by the way. There is a good chance the villagers might gather their pitchforks."
Oh, Master… Please stop talking.
Gerron coughed. "So may I ask what you're doing and where you are heading?"
"Towards the Great Basin, where the Clash of Titans occurred." He said with a smile. "They say the Lord of Orders aura was so strong it still retains the intent of these two Titans."
"It does… I've even seen a few Elder Gods die, trying to enter." Gerron warned, lifting his azure eyes to meet mine and Masters. "When one enters the Great Basin, you will bear witness to Dead Laws and Abyssal Fragments. Such a sight is sure to drive many mad, if not all."
