Chapter 2582: Questions
I appeared in the hall and saw all the council members looking at me, and I was about to open my eyes and fell on the lord of glass floating amidst broken glass.
"Lord of glass, what happened to you?" I asked, seeing his translucent figure; I had some inkling, but I did not dare to even think about it. If that turns out to be true, then we will face huge consequences in the war.
"I am dead, Micheal; this is my soul talking to you," replied lord of glass, turning the terrifying throught I had into the truth.
I did not want to accept it, especially about the lord of glass. He is very hard to kill, even among the Grand Lords, due to his grand art.
"How?" I asked a couple of seconds later when I was finally able to connect myself to reality from the denial. "The Grimms killed me," he replied, which is the obvious answer. I am who would kill a Grand Lord; though there are some who died in ruins and cosmos, they are a minority.
Still, hearing him say that, my blood couldn't help but boil, and I wanted to kill every Grimm that there was.
"Grimms will pay for it," I said with gritted teeth. "Yes, they will," echoed lady Vivian.
"Micheal, I have called you here for the important thing; I hope you will be able to help," said Grand Commander.
"As long as it is within my power Grand Commander, I will do it," I replied without even thinking about it.
"Teacher had given you the shard of the mirror a few months ago. Were you able to comprehend anything? Something that will extend the life of a teacher's soul by a few months or even a year," asked Grand Commander with a face full of hope.
I have never seen such expressions on the Grand Commanders' faces or on Lady Vivian, who is looking at me with a similar expression.
"Are you talking about mirror soul cage and other similar things?" I asked, "Yes," Both of them replied in unison, with hope blooming on their faces as I named the thing they wanted; even a faint hopeful expression appeared on the face of the lord of glass.
"Yes, can you create the mirror soul cage? It will definitely extend the life of teachers' souls for a few months or even a year if we are lucky," said Grand Commander as she looked at me with burning hope; even the lord of glass is showing the
"Creating a mirror soul cage will not be a problem, and I could even guarantee that it would be able to retain the soul of lord of glass for at least six months before the great degradation begins," I said, shocking everyone, even lord of glass was clearly very surprised.
"We have all the resources; you can begin immediately," said Lady Vivian, and glittering resources came out of her storage; some of them are so rare that seeing them, my eyes couldn't help but go wide.
"Hold on, little girl, there is something more he has to say, didn't you, Micheal?" asked Lady Angela, and a smile couldn't help but appear on my face. The old woman is very sharp and knows me the best among all the people here.
"Yes, there is something more I have to say, but first, I have to confirm something; without it will not work," I replied and turned to Lady Vivian.
"Create the privacy screen, lady Vivian; you might not want others to hear what I want to ask of you," I said. She frowned a little, but she created a privacy screen, thick enough that one could only see our silhouette and not see us clear enough to read our lips.
We were not the only ones on the privacy screen; she had brought her sister and also her teacher; they seemed to be the people she trusted the most.
"What do you want to ask me?" I asked, and the smile on my face had turned a little strainful. She might not like or might even flip, as I had pried into her deepest secret without her permission, and powerhouse does not like such things.
"I want to know about your comprehension of Fortress of Mirrors; how far has it reached?" I asked, and I could see the shock appearing on her; even the lord of glass and Grand Commander were surprised by her question.
"How do you know? Did your mother tell you?" she asked immediately while her deep black bore into me.
I was a little surprised by her question before the bulb lit up in my mind. So she is the one who went with my mother on the first mission; I had always been curious about the person, seeing the way my mother talked about them, and it turned out to be lady Vivian.
"No, lady Vivian, it is me," I said and waved my hand; the next second, the seed came out of my hand and transformed into the meta-scan.
"It is my meta-scan," she said in surprise before turning at me, and I could see the spark of anger in her eyes that scared the shit of me. Her aura had leaked faintly, and that faint aura froze me on my spot. It was so powerful that she could kill me before I could even think.
Even fighting and destroying that vine in navar ruin wouldn't be much of a challenge for her.
"How did you get it?" she asked, and a guilty smile couldn't help but appear on my face, "When you had taken the drop of nine blood-burning essences," I replied, and I thought she would fly into the rage, but nothing of that sort happened.
She just closed her eyes for a moment, and when she opened them, all the anger had disappeared.
"It is very rude to pry into one secrete without their permission, Grandmaster; it might get you killed one day," She said. "I know; I will refrain myself from doing that in the future," I said, and even I don't believe the words I spoke.
Though, the answer seemed to satisfy her enough that she nodded.
"As for your question on my comprehension of the fortress of mirrors, it is hair breath away from reaching the Grand Lord class," She replied, shocking me but also turning my mood ecstatic; with it, my plan had a good chance of working.
"Everybody in central command knows about me practicing the fortress of mirrors, but don't mention my comprehension," said Lady Vivian.
"I will not," I replied.
"So, why do you want to know about my comprehension? Does it require creating a mirror soul cage," she asked to which I shook my head.
"No, mirror soul cage did not require it; a different method does," I replied. It did not surprise them; they kind of expected it.
"Does the new method is better?" asked Grand Commander; "Yes, much better and also very risky, but if we are successful, then lord of glass's soul would be able to survive for at least three to five years, and if Lady Vivian able to advance her comprehension of art to the Grand Lord class, then it would increse by ten times," I said all in a single sentence.
They were not able to reach for a second, and when they did, they shook, all of them.
